Reader's POV

I opened my eyes.
{ Where am I? Is this the shelter? When did we get here? }

I felt something on my hand.
{ Ray? }

I knew his touch, I would know it blind.
I looked at my hand to see Ray's connected with it.
"You're finally awake,"
He said with a smile.

Then, my vision cleared and I saw everyone else.

I smiled.
Emma was right beside me, awake but quiet.
Everyone's okay...  Oliver was there, Gillian too, and Pepe, even Zack. Then Gilda and Don.
Tears started to build up in my eyes.

"Eh? What's wrong? Are you feeling pain?"
Don asked hastily, coming to my side.

"I'm just so glad... you're all okay,"
I muttered, the tears rolling down my face.

They looked surprised. Jemima and Chris giggled.
"We're glad you're okay, Y/n! Don't worry about us,"
Jemima said.

Ray chuckled, wiping away my tears softly.
"You didn't wake up for such a long time. We thought you were gonna die!!"
One of the kids then said. Emma nodded.

I smiled.
"But everyone is okay, right?"
I asked.

Gilda sighed, patting my head. And I took that as a sign I should worry about myself more.
"There are some that still can't move, but we're all alive and here,"
Theo said with a smile.

"Emma, are you feeling okay?"
I asked.

She nodded.
"Probably better than you,"
She answered with a smile.

"Emma woke up a couple minutes before you did, Y/n,"
Don informed me.
"We also couldn't move you two from each other."
What'd he mean by that? Oh no... was I using Emma as my Ray.
(Ray as in cuddle partner)

"So, you two... Welcome home!"
They said in unison.

I smiled.
"Thanks,"
Emma and I said in unison.

It was clear she was still in slight pain. I was as well, but I've gotten used to covering it up.

Either way, I was glad to see everyone up and okay.
Especially Oliver and Gillian.
I blacked out after seeing Gillian hurt, so I didn't get to know if she was okay at all.

I soon saw Yuugo.
"Old man, happy to see you once again,"
I said.

"Thank you for saving us,"
Emma said softly.

"Hey, you two need to stay in bed!"
He told us.
Which was weird since we hadn't moved.

"Oh uh... and I'm sorry... for stuff,"
He said. I smirked.
I bet Lucas has something to do with this, there's no way it's that genuine.

"Let us reintroduce ourselves. I'm Emma,"
"I'm Y/n."
"What's your name?"

Chris pulled Yuugo over to us. He looked surprised at what Emma asked but he somewhat smiled.

"My name is Yuugo. Not that it's anything new to you, Y/n,"
He said.

I shrugged, then grit my teeth.
Not doing that again.

Don seemed to notice and he nudged Ray.
Ray massaged my shoulders.
I gave them confused looks.

(*wipes tears for Don*
Too nervous to try anything himself, poor boy.)

"Thank you, Mister Yuugo?"
She said in a questioning tone, shaking Yuugo's hand.

"Yeah. It sounds weird, doesn't it?"
Chris piped in.

I smiled.
Ray sighed, his head resting softly on my shoulder as he watched Yuugo, Chris, Emma, and I.

[        Four weeks have passed
Between the day we'd left the Hunting
Ground
And the day I'd woken up.        ]

Ray glared at me.
"Eat."
He said.

"Not hungry,"
I said, crossing my arms. It didn't hurt much anymore.

And, instead of taking that, he forced the spoon of soup into my mouth.
I had no choice but to swallow it, glaring at him.

He simply grinned.

I closed my mouth tightly.
He deadpanned, trying to get me to eat.

Then, unexpectedly, he pressed his lips against my cheek, kissing it. My eyes widened and My mouth flew open and he shoved the soup in it.

I couldn't even yell at him, which was worse.
I just ate it.

We both looked up to see Jemima staring at us with wide eyes and dropped jaw.
"Jemima, what's wrong?"
I asked with confusion.

She pointed at us.
"I don't want you to be a mommy!! You're too young! Only mommy's and daddy's kiss like that!"
She shrieked in horror.

Ray and I turned to each other and chuckled nervously.

Then, the war started and all the kids in the room starting crying, which was only about three of them.
"You can't be a mommy right now, Y/n,"
Yvette cried.

Chris slapped Ray's back.
"No, no, out Ray out! You can't!"
He said, hugging my legs.

They were now all hugging me, glaring at Ray.
Chris, Yvette, and Jemima.
(Haha, this is how the modern day is.)

Ray sweatdropped.
Yuugo entered the room, looking at us in confusion.

"Mister! Kick Ray out!"
Chris said.

"They're going crazy, Yuugo,"
I said.

"I'm not helping,"
He said, heading to leave.

"Ray kissed Y/n now she's gonna abandon us!"
Jemima cried.

Now Yuugo looked interested, smirking.
Ray and I both deadpan.

    [     Ray's group hadn't been chased by pursuer demons and had arrived to the shelter within three weeks.    ]

[     But Paula and Sandy still couldn't
Get up.  ]

I follow close to Emma.
I was back on crutches, which was horrible.

Emma was doing way better than I was.
Well, I was pretending to do good, but yeah.

"Guys, you shouldn't be up yet!"
Gilda called out.

I smiled.
"It's okay, Gilda. We're good now!"
I said.

Yes, even if-
The claw entered just above her hip and lodged her in her right arm-

But I couldn't stand still either.
I knew Emma was upset she lost four weeks, I was too.

"Gilda, can you get our siblings? I want to talk to everyone,"
Emma said, then turned to me, I nodded.

"Choose the future you want; that's what Minerva said and he left us with this information,"
I said.

"We're getting to get Phil and everyone else. I want you to hear my plan,"
Emma said to everyone.
