Reader's POV

I followed close behind Mujika.
We were at the front of everyone.

"No pursuers," she smiled and we climbed out. I looked around us in awe.

It's been six days since we entered this forest. And finally...
We're out of it.

We waited for everyone else, and they were pretty amazed at everything they saw as well.

"It's huge!!"
(*Insert Lenny face*)

"Look at all the space!"

"If you keep going South that way, you'll reach your destination," Sonju told us.

"No, I don't want to, Mujika. I don't!"
I realized most of the kids were surrounding Mujika and I.

"I don't want to say goodbye.
"Can't you... can't you stay with us a little longer?"

In my heart, if I even had one, I was just as sad as they were.
But I knew I would follow Emma and everyone in the end.

So, to keep this farewell to hurt less, I kept a hold of Mujika's hand the whole time. She didn't mind it at all, since she was the one who suggested it.

"We can't depend on them," Ray then said, snapping me from my thoughts.
He had his hands gently on their heads.
"But, Ray..."
"They have places they have to go. And we need to learn to make it on our own," he continued.

"Don't worry. As long as you walk in the wasteland, you won't run into any demons. If all goes well, you should be able to see your Mr. Minerva tonight," Sonju said.
"Okay!"

"Make sure to stay away from the forest of water. Got it?"
 he then said.

"Got it!!"
"Be careful,"
he finished.

I looked up with a smile,
"Thank you, Sonju."

Mujika left my side to say goodbye to everyone.
I let out a sigh.

Sonju patted my head.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "Why do you always do that? Is it because I'm short?"
"Of course,"
he nodded.
"Meany."

"I'll miss you," I added.
"I'll miss you too," he told me.
"Ha, you admitted it!" I cheered, although tears were filling in my eyes.
"Jeez, I cry over anything these days..." I muttered, wiping the tears away before they could roll down my face.

"Most people cry at goodbyes," he said.
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" I deadpanned.

But nonetheless, I hugged him tightly.
"You got taller," he said, amused.
"I did?" I asked with excitement.
He smirked, "No," he told me.

I groaned.
"Rude."

"How is that rude?" he chuckled.
"I don't know!" I huffed.

He smiled and patted my head once more.
"Be safe," he told me.

"Why wouldn't I," I muttered.
"You stay safe too, Sonju."

We then parted and Sonju went off to Ray and Thoma.

Mujika tackled me into a hug before I could do more.
"I'll miss you! So, so, so, so much!" she cried, burying her head in my shoulder.

"I'll miss you so so so so much too," I smiled, hugging her tightly.
"I don't want you to go," she muttered.
I frowned, "I don't want to go either..."

She held onto me tightly.
And the hug lasted a while.

"This... This is an amulet. Hold on to it. I'm sure it will protect you," she said softly, putting it on me.
"Thank you, Muji..."
I smiled at her and dug in my bag.

I took out the picture I took of us.
"I know it's not as fancy as an amulet..." I trailed off.
"No, no! I love it! Thank you, Y/n..." she said with a smile.

I smiled at her and she fixed my hair slightly.
"Be safe," we said in unison.

We both laughed.
"Please," I then said, her following a second after.
I smiled.

She then hugged me, her voice getting serious.
"Search for the Seven Walls. The future you all seek... is beyond that,"
she said softly.

She then let go of me and smiled.
"But please, be safe," she said.
I nodded, "You too, Muji."

She held my hand tightly.
"Y/n! We should get going!" Don called.

I nodded to him, but didn't move from Mujika.
She gave me a smile, "I love you, Y/n. Be careful."

My eyes went wide slightly, and Norman's voice ran through my head of him saying the same thing. I shook it away and smiled at her.
"I love you too, Muji. Be careful as well," I told her.

Her smile was bright as she let go of my hand and we parted ways.
As I walked away, I looked back. Each time to see both of them smiling happily at us.

{ I'll miss you... so much }

"How're we doing?" Gilda asked.
"We're going the right way," Nat said.

"There's really nothing around here, eh?"
"There are rocks though!"

{ We're going to see Mr. Minerva.
We'll ask him how to cross between the two worlds.
We'll survive for sure!
We'll go save Phil and the others.
We're going to work hard!
For Norman... Conny... and everyone else
}

Time passed and it got dark.
"How much longer? Are we getting close?"

"Emma, what're our coordinates?" Ray asked, his hand was entwined with mine.
'You're going too slow' he'd told me.

"Let me check," she said, opening the pen.
My eyes went wide slightly.

"It's here. This is BO6-32," she said.
Murmurs of the children ran through.

"There's no mistake. The place we are right now is BO6-32," I said.
"Are you serious?" Don asked.
"What are we going to do?" Nat asked.

{ There's nothing here... it's empty. }
