The alarm continued and I felt myself get more furious.
"Shut the fuck up, damn it," I muttered.
I turned to see Emma and Ray looking at me with surprise.

"Did you just curse?" Emma asked, blinking multiple times.
My face turned red in embarrassment, "I-I'm sorry! It just came out," I stuttered.

Ray smirked slightly, but let out a chuckle to hint it was fine.
I went back to thinking.

{ There's no way. No matter how we think about it, we won't make it in time. By the time we get to the bridge, they will have set up a perimeter. What do we do?! What can we do... } I thought so hard I felt as if my head would fall off.

"It's not a problem. We're not heading to the bridge anyway," Emma said as she continued walking.
"What..." I muttered.

She then stopped and I looked at the edge of the cliff.

I couldn't imagine falling down there... to instant death...

"We're going to cross to the other side from here," Emma then declared, pointing to the other side, beyond the cliff.

My nerves built up inside me.
{ Cross the cliff... }

I took out Norman's note and turned it.

If anyone's to escape, it'll be via the bridge.
Not the cliff. Anyone would think that.
Even Mom...
And the demons.
That's why we won't go to the bridge.
We'll escape via the cliff.
I checked the distance to the other side as well as the geographical features.
It's a little dangerous, but there's a spot where you can cross.
And you have two months to prepare.

I smiled slightly. Reading what he wrote made me feel happy. Even if he wasn't here...

I turned, folding the note and putting it back in its place.

I saw Don fling some kind of rock with the rope at a tree across the cliff. It swooshed around it satisfyingly.

Then, they continued going. They got down with hangers.
It was so weird how they were all confident...

I began to shake as I thought of going.
{ This is scary. Normally, you wouldn't be able to do this. But the kids are. They're calm and confident. They trained... They prepared so seriously. And I'm probably going to mess up. }

"What do you think?" I heard a familiar voice next to me.
I turned, "Nor...man," I said with wide eyes.
I then smiled, looking at his smug face, "You know I don't like it when you give that look."
He chuckled, "Of course. We were able to completely fool you. It's definitely something we wouldn't have been able to see under normal circumstances. That is what we thought could never happen," he continued.

"Because it's Emma... everyone joined with full belief. She's reckless and unreasonable, but she's straight-forward. And can say "with everyone" without wavering. So, isn't this cool, Y/n?" he asked.
I let out a small sigh, this wasn't real.
This is just an illusion.

I closed my eyes tightly.

Even in his words, I found a way that it was meant to hurt me.
I don't know, it wasn't just with him.
I guess I just look at the different perspectives of words.
Maybe he wanted to talk about what Emma could do to bring me down?
I don't hate Emma... I just don't want to be compared to someone as great as her...

"You don't have to give up. I love you," he said. I opened my eyes instantly to see he was gone.

I took a deep breath.
"Next. Come, Jemima," Emma called out.
"Emma, what should I do? My hands..." she was shaking so much it hurt my heart.

I knelt down next to her, placing my hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! When I think that there's a cliff below... what if I fall?" she asked softly.

That tensed up Lanni and Thoma.
Emma glanced back and she also tensed up, but for a different reason.

"Don't worry," Ray then said as he picked the small girl up.
I felt my cheeks heat up slightly at how confident he did it.

"Don't worry, we'll cross together," he told Jemima.

I smiled.
"Emma. You still have the rope we used to pull everyone up, right?" Ray asked.
"Yeah!" she responded.
"Can you tie Jemima to me using that?" he asked.
"Do you know how to go down?" Emma asked, tying her around him.
"I saw what everyone did. I'll be fine," Ray responded.

I let out another sigh, I knew he would be fine.
I just get nervous.

"Let's go, Jemima," he then told her as he went down.

Lanni and Thoma went on.
"I'm going now, Y/n. You'll be good, right?" Emma asked.
"Yeah. Of course. I always am..." I muttered.

She gave me a smile, hugging me before she went.
I took a deep breath as I held tightly onto the hanger.

I closed my eyes, trying to not look down.
I should've ended it.
Gosh... I hate stupid heights.

"Y/n!" I heard Emma shout.
"You can do this!" she encouraged.

I hate she can see through me...

I took another few breaths.
I should've ended it that night...
Thoughts swirled around my head.

They weren't gonna wait for me any longer, that's what I knew.
I saw them moving.
They'd go on without me.
That's fine.

I placed the hanger on the rope, holding on to it tightly.
"Y/n... my child," I then heard Mom.
I turned slowly, "Don't leave."

I glared at her, "You tried to bring me down. I'm sick of your fake..." I controlled myself quickly.
"Goodbye, Mom," I said before going.

I looked down, instantly breathing heaving again.
"Damn it, damn it," I repeated under my breath.

Then, my feet touched the ground again and warm arms wrapped around me.
"R-Ray," I muttered.

"Y/n," he said calmly, ruffling my hair.

I hugged him tightly.
"I was so scared," I muttered.
"I know," he chuckled.

"Come on, let's go," Emma said with a smile.
I nodded, smiling back at her. Ray stayed by my side, and we were gone.
Suddenly, all the horrible thoughts I thought were gone, vanishing.
