"Goodbye everyone. Take care," Norman told us.
"You too, Norman!" Phil said with a smile.
"Take care," Nalia added.
"Emma, Y/n, where's Ray?" Mom asked us.
"In the infirmary. He said he didn't want to send Norman off," Emma replied.
I kept looking down, my eyes turned glassy.
I wanted to do something. Anything.
{ I don't understand! If he loves me and wants me to be happy, then he can't die! }
I looked up at Norman. I knew he wouldn't like if I bothered him anymore. But I had too. Emma nodded to me and handed me the device
I rushed towards him and hugged him, "I'll distract Mom. Please run this time," I told him. I raised the device to his ear and was about to take the tracking device out but he pushed me down.
I winced in pain, my leg had hit the ground hard.
"You idiot! I know you can be reckless but you've gone too far! This isn't what you should be doing!" he told me.
"Shut up! I don't want this! This won't make me happy. I won't let you go!" I told him.
"Why can't you understand? I don't want any of that. I just want you to send me off with a smile. Please understand how I feel," he told me softly.
"No... I can't respect those feelings! Especially if you don't actually want to go. You want to live," I said. His eyes widened slightly but then he smiled. He put his hand on my cheek.
"It's time, Norman," Mom said, putting his hat on.
"Okay," Norman said, standing up.
"W-Wait," I muttered.
"Calm down. I get that it's sad but you need to keep a cool head. If you continue to cause trouble, I'll kill you. It's no use. You can't do anything. Give up," Mom told me.
I stayed quiet after that.
Norman shook my hand, "Y/n," he said.
"Yeah," I replied.
"Thanks."
"Yeah."
"Sorry for tricking you."
"Yeah."
"Don't increase your injuries."
"Yeah."
"Eat well."
"Y-Yeah," my voice cracked.
"I'm leaving the rest to you and Emma."
"Yeah," I murmured.
"It's going to be okay. Don't ever give up," he told me.
Before I knew it, he was gone.
Sorry I couldn't send you off with a smile. I couldn't show you a happy face. Norman... thanks... so, so much.
I kept my hand on the ground as I wiped my tears away with the other.
Gilda and Emma came to my side, patting my back. Emma held me in her arms gently.
He's gone...
Norman's gone
