Reader's POV

I... I wanted to go back.
I know it sounded selfish and horrible.

But as I listened to everything Emma told me, they were my home.

Sonju and Mujika.

I had a fond, unclear memory of them... I knew they were the people, er demons I belonged with.

I took a deep breath, nodding to her and letting her continue.

I couldn't tell her what I was thinking.

They'd found me. But years had passed now...
Many years.

I promised to live with them, but... my heart ached.

They, Sonju and Mujika   gave me shelter,
Love,
Kindness,
Family...

I took a deep breath and shook my head from any thoughts of it.

They kept coming, even years later I could only think of returning to the Demon World.

And so, I asked Emma, building up my courage.

"I want to... i want to go back to the demon world,"
I told her.

Her eyes widened in shock.
"What?"
She asked, Ray was stunned as well that he dropped his books.

"I... I want to see Sonju! And mujika again! Please, I'll find a way to come back,"
I told them.

Norman chuckled softly and nodded.
"Go ahead, Y/n... we won't stop you. Plus, you can come back safely, that's what the rules said..."
He said with a smile.

Ray and Emma both smiled, nodding in agreement.

A bright smile came onto my face and I nodded, hugging them tightly.

"Thank you!"
I said, kissing Norman's cheek.

"Thank you!"
I said, kissing Ray's.

"And thank you!"
I finished, kissing Emma's.

They all laughed and hugged me back.

And so, I was headed back.

I had to make sure Mike didn't know about this, he probably wouldn't like it.

I went with Emma, and she said goodbye to me, telling me to say hi to them for me.

I hugged her tightly and she hugged back, tighter which was really really tight.

I chuckled and pulled away once she let me. She waved me off and soon, I was gone.

[ The Demon World ]

I woke up in an unknown room on a bed.

"Is she awake?"
I heard a voice.

Then another.
"Yes, Lord."

"Miss, may I come in?"
There was a knock.

"Yeah sure,"
I groaned, holding my head as I sat up.

"The humans left years ago. Why did you decide to come back?"
They asked.

Their face was covered with the hood of their cloak.

"I... I just need to see the Queen. We were friends before,"
I stated.

I knew it wouldn't be easy but I tried.

They burst into laughter and took off their cloak.

My eyes went wide.
"Leuvis..."
I muttered.

"Lord Leuvis to you, Y/n. My, my, have you grown!"
He said with a snicker.

I sighed softly as he helped me up.

"Well, to Queen Mujika we go, pretty lady,"
He said with a grin.

I took my hand away from his.
He grabbed it again
I took it away.
He grabbed it.
I took it away.
He grabbed it.
I slapped him.

He burst into more giggles and put his hat back on.
I felt moving in my bag and opened it.

Leslie's head poked out, then instantly went back on once he saw Leuvis.

I chuckled softly, following Leuvis out.

The demons stared at us. Some with curiosity, some with fear, some with exhaustion.

Leuvis gave them a smile and wave.
Although not liking being near the enthusiastic demon, I kept closer to him, not wanting a chance of getting close to a potential threat.

Leslie poked his head out and glared at all the demons staring, but they didn't even notice him.

Leuvis took a hold of my hand once again, but I let him since it felt like he was doing it for a reason and not to 'tease' me.

We walked into the castle, demons standing guard at the entrance.

Leuvis spoke to them in the demon language, they seemed to understand and nod, letting us in.

"Queen Mujiiiiika, oh Queeeeeeeen,"
Leuvis sang.

I rolled my eyes but excitement built up inside of me.

"Sonjuuuuu,"
Leuvis sang

Leuvis smirked and started looking around once again.

Mujika, entered the room and I smiled brightly. Guards were on either side of her.

"Y/n?"
She asked, expression in shock.

"Mujika!"
I exclaimed, smiling happily as I rushed up to her.

The guards almost stopped me but Mujika just ran to me, tackling me into a hug.

I fell back, hugging her back tightly.

I felt complete.
Happy.
Loved...
Just by a simple hug.

Mujika giggled happily, not daring to move from the embrace.

Even if our heads were pounding from the fall, we were both laughing, holding each other.

Mujika smiled, but it soon tore to a pout as tears rolled down her face.

"I missed you!"
She said, choking on her tears as she hugged me tighter.

"I missed you too,"
I said softly,  wiping away her tears.

She buried her face in my shoulders and I smiled softly.

Leuvis had prepared a whole party welcoming me...
Much to my discomfort, I allowed it to happen

Leslie stuck by my side, sniffing the ground.

I sighed as Leuvis dramatically introduced me.

Mujika giggled and patted my head before heading out.

"Our dearest human, Y/n! Fabulous is she!
Show some respect, get down on one knee as she comes!!"
He announced.

I could hear Mujika's laughter rise, making me smile.

"Human Y/n! She's as strong as ten men! She faced horrible groups of demons!
A hundred bad guys with swords
Who sent those humans back to their world? Y/n!"
He said as they let me through.

Cheers erupted, making Leslie hiss.
They backed away, fear stricking them as Leslie walked sassily in front of me, the look on his face saying 'yeah, I'm the best, what about it?'

I gave them a smile and they erupted into more cheers.

"Now, Y/n will be staying for a while with our Queen, Queen Mujika... while she spends her time here, no one, I mean no one,"
He gave a smile.

"Will touch her! Or even dare to hurt her. Or they will be crushed by my hand,"
He cleared his throat.

Didn't he try to kill me?

I rolled my eyes with a sigh.

Leslie was too busy posing and scaring little demons.

Mujika waved me over to her.
She was on a wooden throne, a smile on her face.

I smiled and rushed over to her.

I sat down next to her, only for the cheers to change to gasps.

I stood up instantly.
Mujika looked embarrassed.

"This is the seat for the king,"
She told me.

"King?"
I asked.

She nodded.

Embarrassment.
Fuck.

Leuvis soon got them cheering again.

"Who is the King?"
I asked.

"Is it you, Sonju?"
I asked with a chuckle, looking at him.

He shook his head.

"There isn't one. But ah... you can be the King, Y/n!"
Mujika said.

Silence.

Somehow they all heard that.

More embarrassment came my way as they started chanting.

"King Y/n!"
"Queen, actually,"
"Queen Y/n!!!"

I cracked a smile slightly and Mujika let me sit down.

I wasn't their King or Queen or whatever
I knew that much.

But one accident, led Mujika and me to become closer than we were before.

playing around like that ended up being fun.

For one, Mujika had an excuse for me to be with her almost everywhere she went.

And we also got to share a room.
We had bunk beds!!

Mujika chuckled as we looked at Leslie, constantly jumping off of the rug once having any little contact with it.

We burst into laughter as Leslie looked at us with a blank expression.

I flopped onto the bed and Leslie hopped onto it, sitting on my stomach.

Mujika sat down next to me, fiddling with her fingers.

"What's wrong?"
I asked with a smile.

She stayed silent for a while. I propped myself onto my elbows, raising a brow.

"Y/n. I think... think I love you. I mean, not like before. But like-"
She struggled with her words again.

I looked at her with confusion.
I didn't know what she was trying to tell me.

Then she smiled and took my hand in hers.

"Will you be my Queen?"
She asked.

My eyes widened slightly.

"And I mean not pretending. I mean how..."
She scanned the room then grabbed a book and opened to the last page.

I brought the book from the human world.

It was about a princess who fell in love with her guard instead of the prince.

"How they are King and Queen and how they love each other,"
She said, pointing to the princess and knight who were holding hands, smiles bright on their faces.

I was unsure of what to say.
I knew with all my heart that I loved her back, but how could I ever put it into words?

I couldn't.

I chuckled and hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek.

"I'd love to be your Queen, Mujika, I love you too"
I said softly.

Leslie's eyes popped out of his head but his tail swished happily.

Mujika broke into tears.
"Did I do something wrong?"
I asked with panic.

"N-No one's ever said that before,"
She said with a frown.

I realized what she meant and I smiled.

"You'll be hearing it way more often now,"
I said with a chuckle.

She looked surprised but she hugged me once again, tightly.

I smiled softly.
