Reader's POV

I... I wanted to go back.
I know it sounded selfish and horrible.

But as I listened to everything Emma told me, they were my home.

Sonju and Mujika.

I had a fond, unclear memory of them... I knew they were the people, er demons I belonged with.

I took a deep breath, nodding to her and letting her continue.

I couldn't tell her what I was thinking.

They'd found me. But years had passed now...
Many years.

I promised to live with them, but... my heart ached.

They, Sonju and Mujika   gave me shelter,
Love,
Kindness,
Family...

I took a deep breath and shook my head from any thoughts of it.

They kept coming, even years later I could only think of returning to the Demon World.

And so, I asked Emma, building up my courage.

"I want to... i want to go back to the demon world,"
I told her.

Her eyes widened in shock.
"What?"
She asked, Ray was stunned as well that he dropped his books.

"I... I want to see Sonju! And mujika again! Please, I'll find a way to come back,"
I told them.

Norman chuckled softly and nodded.
"Go ahead, Y/n... we won't stop you. Plus, you can come back safely, that's what the rules said..."
He said with a smile.

Ray and Emma both smiled, nodding in agreement.

A bright smile came onto my face and I nodded, hugging them tightly.

"Thank you!"
I said, kissing Norman's cheek.

"Thank you!"
I said, kissing Ray's.

"And thank you!"
I finished, kissing Emma's.

They all laughed and hugged me back.

And so, I was headed back.

I had to make sure Mike didn't know about this, he probably wouldn't like it.

I went with Emma, and she said goodbye to me, telling me to say hi to them for me.

I hugged her tightly and she hugged back, tighter which was really really tight.

I chuckled and pulled away once she let me. She waved me off and soon, I was gone.

[ The Demon World ]

I woke up in an unknown room on a bed.

"Is she awake?"
I heard a voice.

Then another.
"Yes, Lord."

"Miss, may I come in?"
There was a knock.

"Yeah sure,"
I groaned, holding my head as I sat up.

"The humans left years ago. Why did you decide to come back?"
They asked.

Their face was covered with the hood of their cloak.

"I... I just need to see the Queen. We were friends before,"
I stated.

I knew it wouldn't be easy but I tried.

They burst into laughter and took off their cloak.

My eyes went wide.
"Leuvis..."
I muttered.

"Lord Leuvis to you, Y/n. My, my, have you grown!"
He said with a snicker.

I sighed softly as he helped me up.

"Well, to Queen Mujika we go, pretty lady,"
He said with a grin.

I took my hand away from his.
He grabbed it again
I took it away.
He grabbed it.

I slapped him.

He burst into more giggles and put his hat back on.
I felt moving in my bag and opened it.

Leslie's head poked out, then instantly went back on once he saw Leuvis.

I chuckled softly, following Leuvis out.

The demons stared at us. Some with curiosity, some with fear, some with exhaustion.

Leuvis gave them a smile and wave.
Although not liking being near the enthusiastic demon, I kept closer to him, not wanting a chance of getting close to a potential threat.

Leslie poked his head out and glared at all the demons staring, but they didn't even notice him.

Leuvis took a hold of my hand once again, but I let him since it felt like he was doing it for a reason and not to 'tease' me.

We walked into the castle, demons standing guard at the entrance.

Leuvis spoke to them in the demon language, they seemed to understand and nod, letting us in.

"Queen Mujiiiiika, oh Queeeeeeeen,"
Leuvis sang.

I rolled my eyes but excitement built up inside of me.

"Sonjuuuuu,"
Leuvis sang

I perked up and looked around for him. Them.

Leuvis smirked and started looking around once again.

Mujika, entered the room and I smiled brightly. Guards were on either side of her.

"Y/n?"
She asked, expression in shock.

"Mujika!"
I exclaimed, smiling happily as I rushed up to her.

The guards almost stopped me but Mujika just ran to me, tackling me into a hug.

I almost fell back, but I kept my balance, hugging her back tightly.

We laughed in joy, holding each other close.

My memories were foggy, but I knew that hugs from Mujika were the most special.

Sonju walked in, I saw him from the corner of my eye.

His expression was shocked slightly but a slight smile formed on his face.

Mujika was so happy she seemed as if she was in tears.

"Guards, Leuvis, please leave,"
She said softly.

"Queen-"
The guards started.

"She is one of my bestest friends and the best killer I know, I'll be safe,"
She said, sighing.

They nodded and left. Leuvis gave a little wave as he did too.

Sonju came down to us and I hugged him tightly. He smiled and i felt accomplished.

"I missed you both so much!"
I muttered.

He patted my head with a soft smile.
"We've missed you too. Mujika mentioned you and everyone else every single day,"
He said.

"You did too,"
Mujika added.

He paid no attention to her comment.

"You've grown, and it's not a lie this time,"
He said.

And he was right, I was taller, at his chest now.

"Yeah!"
Mujika agreed with a chuckle.

"You two haven't,"
I stated.
Mujika smiled.

"So what happened? Is everyone else here too?"
She asked once we sat down.

"Well... I really really missed you guys,"
I admitted with a chuckle.

Mujika smiled brightly.

"And no, no one else came with me,"
I murmured

She stayed smiling nonetheless.

"Well, how long do you want to stay?"
She asked.

"As long as you're fine with me being here,"
I said softly.

"Forever!"
She said with a giddy smile, putting her hands together.

Sonju shook his head, but he smiled softly.

I chuckled.
"Well I'm fine with that,"
I said softly.

Sonju looked slightly taken back, but he smiled brightly.

[ 1 Year Later ]

I was still living with Mujika and Sonju.

Sonju was now beside me, holding his spear tightly as he watched for anyone creeping up on me.

"Sonju, I'll be fine,"
I reassured him with a chuckle.

Demons had tried to grab me when I first arrived, and Sonju nearly killed them, so now no one dared to try.

He sighed but nodded only slightly.

We were on Sonju's horse, heading to the forest to hunt.

Sonju didn't seem to like eating at the restaurants, but I didn't mind that, I liked hunting with him.

We got a few fishes and birds, then I got into the lake, a bright smile on my face.

"Come on, Sonju!"
I called out.

"Id rather not,"
He said with a sigh.

I chuckled and nodded as he set up a fire to cook our food.

3rd Person POV

Sonju cooked the fishes first.

He looked up, making sure the woman was okay.

He smiled softly as he saw her fall over, trying to grab another fish, but she was laughing nonetheless.

She's a stupid human, he told himself, and he knew that.
She couldve gotten herself killed, coming back to the demon world, and just to see two of her friends.

But... part of him was overjoyed she was here.
Part of him wanted to go into the water with her and have fun, pretend to be free for just a bit.

But he stayed back.
He kept his guard up.
Even if he was comfortable with her.

Y/n rushed over with a wobbling fish in her hand, a grin on her face.

"Caught one!"
She said with a giggle.

Sonju nodded slightly as he took it from her.
She skipped back into the water for more. 

Once all of the food was done, she came back.
Sonju took off his cloak and placed it on her with a sigh.

"You're going to catch a cold,"
he said.

she simply chuckled and wrapped it around her tightly.
"Thank you, Sonju."

And so, they ate.

Y/n was still shivering when she was done, Sonju was very irritated by it.

He wanted her to be warm. 
Why wasn't she?
Damn humans.

Y/n smiled brightly and left the rest of her fish on a leaf, giggling as if she'd done something illegal.

Sonju scooted closer to her and forced her closer to the fire, but not so close that she'd melt.

Y/n chuckled.
"What are you doing?"
she asked, water running down her face from her hair.

"Trying to get you warmer,"
he sighed, sitting behind her and hugging her.

Y/n's face burned up, which was probably enough to get her warm again.
Sonju was confused as to why she'd gone silent and why her heartbeat got faster, but he didn't ask.

"Sonju, why can't I see your face without your mask?"
she then asked out of the blue.

He thought about it.
"I trust you now, unlike then,"
he told her.

She nodded slightly and turned to face him.
He carefully took off his mask and she smiled with giddy.

"Pretty!!"
she exclaimed.

He coughed in surprise, flustered.
"You think I'm pretty?"
he asked.

"Yeah! Your hair is really pretty too, Sonju!"
she added with a bright smile.

He smiled softly and she grinned, turning back to the fire.

"What's wrong? Are my teeth scary?"
he asked with worry.

She thought about it for a second, then her voice shaking she confessed.
"I-I love you!" 
she muttered, holding his hand tightly.
"I want to be with you all the time,"
she gave him a smile.

A stunned expression took over his face.
Love?

She... she loved him?
What did he feel for her?

She was just a silly human.

A reckless human.

Who didn't care for her safety if it meant being with him.

A stupid, stupid human who came back because she missed him and Mujika too much.

A foolish woman who constantly made him smile.

A human... a human he cared for..

A human he started to love.

The human who he loved with his whole heart.

He hugged her tightly and she smiled softly.
"I... love you too,"
he said, letting out a shaky sigh.

She chuckled and snuggled up to him.

"Thank you, Sonju."
she murmured.
