Reader's POV

[ 1 Year Later ]

I woke up with a yawn, I looked around the sunflower field.

I ended up living with everyone, although I always visited the man when I had the chance.
School wasn't as fun as Emma made it sound, she had said,
"There's so much people! And they're nice!"

Wrong.
But anyway...

My memories started to come slowly by slowly.
Although I knew that shouldn't be happening.

Ray and I... we talked a couple months ago.
I had gotten a memory back, and it showed me we were more than just friends.

.

"Ray,"
I called out, he stopped walking.

"Y/n,"
he said, turning his head to me.

"Um...."
I started.

He smiled.
"We were dating, Y/n. We don't need to now... just whatever makes you happy,"
he told me.

My eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"How did you know what I was going to-"

"I know you, Y/n,"
he chuckled.

"Even if you lost your memories... you're still the same Y/n that I've known my whole life,"
he told me.

I smiled slightly.
"But yeah. Whatever you like..."
he told me.

I nodded.
"Just... as friends. I'm sorry, Ray,"
I said softly.

He chuckled.
"It's all right, Y/n. I'll be happy as long as you are,"
he said.

I smiled and nodded.

.

Ray is a sweet guy... but I just didn't like him in that way.
I was even still trying to figure out what 'I love you' meant.

Along with my other emotions.
With Norman, I felt happy, but not like happy... a different kind of happy, if that made sense.
My heart would jump and flutter, and I loved to be around him.

He was just an amazing and gentle person!
Who couldn't love him?

Norman was beside me, looking at the sunflowers.
He gives me a smile.

"I thought you wouldn't wake up and I would have to carry you home,"
he said with a chuckle.

I chuckled.
"Sorry,"
I said softly.

He shook his hand and reached out his hand, I took it and got up.
"You don't have to be."

I smiled and dusted off my pants.
I admired all of the sunflowers, not saying anything else.

My eyes lit up as I spotted water.
"Norman!"
I exclaimed, pointing to the water.

"Huh? Y/n!"
He exclaimed in surprise as I started to run to the water, taking off my jacket and shoes and leaving them behind.

"Come on!"
I exclaimed, chuckling softly as he ran after me.

I put my feet in the water, my eyes lighting up.

Norman sweatdropped.
"I don't think we should go in there..."
He said.

"There's a waterfall..."
I said with wide eyes.

"Come on!"
I told him.

Norman scurried after me, he seemed to relax as his feet touched the water.

"There's a cave!!"
I cheered.

Norman rose a brow.
"Where?"

"Behind the waterfall,"
I chuckled, taking his hand in mine.

Norman smiled slightly, his cheeks turning pink as he followed me.

I hopped from rock to rock until I reached the waterfall.
Norman reached above me and put his hand on the water, it split and I got inside.
He followed me.

"Woah..."
I muttered as I looked around.

It was quite dark but it was lit up by the lantern Norman had brought with him.
Vines danced along the wall on the rocks.

"It's beautiful,"
I muttered.

"Yeah, you really are,"
He told me, a small smile on his face.
Warmth grew on my cheeks but I thanked him nonetheless.

Norman set the lantern down as I sat down, looking at the water.

Norman sat next to me, studying me silently
"It's when you care about someone beyond all rationality... and  you want them to have everything they want... You want them to always be happy. Even if it kills you. You'll sacrifice yourself for them."
he told me, he seemed to start to get nervous as he turned to me

"And... I'll never stop loving you. Never,"
he told me softly.

( Yes, I copied it from his first confession and changed the wording-)

My eyes widened slightly, my cheeks heating up.
"T-Then Norman... I think.. no, I know that I love you too,"
I said softly.

He smiled brightly and wrapped his arms around me, holding me in a hug.
I hugged him back, both of us were now soaking wet.

I chuckled softly as he shivered.
"Can I kiss you?"
he then asked.

My eyes widened in surprise.

"Y-Yeah!"
I said.

He smiled and connected our lips.
Then, I felt as if nothing else mattered...
As long as I was with Norman, I would be okay.

Time seemed to stop and my eyes widened as I felt my memories rush back to me.
I pulled away from Norman with wide eyes.

"W-What's wrong?"
he asked.

I hugged him tightly.
"I remember now, Norman... I remember,"
I said softly.

A look of relief crossed his face and a smile broke onto his face.
"that's good, Y/n... very good,"
he said softly.

I smiled and nuzzled my head in his shoulder.
"And now... I'll never ever forget you again,"
I told him softly.

"You better not,"
he chuckled softly.

He held me tightly against him, his head snuggled in my shoulder.
We stayed like that for a while, basking in each other's presence.
And I wouldn't... I would never forget him again.
