Reader's POV

I felt arms wrap around me has my tears soon stopped.

"L-Lucas...?"
I muttered.

"Hey, Y/n..."
I heard him say.

I turned around quickly to see Lucas and Yuugo there.
But I knew they were gone...

"Do you remember what I said before? I was wrong.
It's important to make the right decision, or at least try to. But that's not everything.
None of us know if our decisions are right or wrong in the moment,"
He told me.

I clutched onto them.
They weren't here.
But I would let myself believe it.

"Believe in what you've decided, Y/n. And no matter what results from it, keep going,"
He said.

"You... and everyone else. Will be able to change the world,"
He said, ruffling my hair.

"You're my daughter, of course you will,"
He chuckled.

I clenched my jaw, hugging them tightly.
"Don't leave. Please don't leave,"
I said.

"The day we met...
That day I lost my chance to die.
Because I didn't die that time.
I was able to meet you.
And see Lucas again.
I avenged my family, and destroyed that hunting ground. I found hope.

This past year and a half was so much fun.
I'm glad I lived.
But damn it... I don't want to die.

I want to see the human world.
And watch them grow up, and watch you grow up.

This is so pathetic.
I have so many regrets.
But... I never regret you...
And if I can protect you all, I can die smiling."

They both gave me a warm smile.
"Sorry...
Fulfill your dream, Y/n, good luck."
They said softly.

I took a deep breath and fell as they slipped from my fingers.

Just a dream.

They're gone.

They're gone.

I want to forgive you.

I want to, so badly.

But I can't...

You left me.

But most of all...

I can't forgive myself.

I looked at the small burial grounds I'd make for them.

I wasn't going to leave their bodies there.

I took a deep breath, then let it out as I cried endlessly.

The bracelet was wrapped around my wrist, Lucas must've put it there when I was talking to Yuugo.

The note was inside the bracelet.

And the bracelet, was beautiful.
Black and white swirls that moved when I did.
Unfrozen... time was still going.

The smoke was building into my senses.
And I knew I had to leave soon.

I had buried them... now they wanted me to leave.

I took a deep breath, and stood up.
"I love you..."
I muttered.

This was another goodbye.
And I was alone.
