== Third Person POV ==

Natasha stands waiting. She was staring up at the portal.

"Come on, Stark," she mumbles.

A deep explosion was heard from the other side of the portal.

Steve says over their coms, "..Close it."

Natasha waits a few seconds before she plunges the scepter into the heart of the device.

The portal begins to close rapidly. But just before it closes Tony falls through.

Natasha drops the scepter on the roof.

"Son of a gun!," Steve exclaims.

Iron Man is plummeting to the ground.

"He's not slowing down," Thor says.

"Way to announce the obvious," Y/N says.

Thor prepares to fly at Stark and catch him by spinning his hammer.

But before he does so, the Hulk grabs Tony out of the air, slides down the side of a building and crashes to the ground in front of the three of them.

Hulk throws Iron Man off him and Thor, Cap and Y/N run over. Thor rips off Iron Man's face plate and Cap listens for a heart beat, then sees the arc reactor is not glowing.

Suddenly the Hulk roars and beats his chest.

Tony, shocked, gasps and opens his eyes, looking around, "What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me."

"For all you know, we could be lying if we tell you that. Maybe Hulk kissed you," Y/N tells him as he grins.

"We won," Steve tells him.

Tony lets out a sigh, "Alright, yay. Hurray. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day. You ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it."

"We're not finished yet," says Thor.

"And then shawarma after?," Tony asks.

"And then shawarma after," Y/N agrees.

Loki crawls over to the stairs and turns to see the Avengers minus one surrounding him.

Hawkeye has an arrow aimed at Loki's face. Natasha without the scepter. Thor was holding Mjolnir to his chest. Hulk growls deeply with Tony and Steve standing in front of him.

Y/N wasn't there..

"If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now," Loki says.

The Hulk Growls harder.

----- May 4th, 2012 8:10 PM - North Atlantic Ocean -----

A bunch of SHIELD screens were on, displaying a wide range of channels. All of them about one thing.

The first was a News Channel.

"Despite the devastation of what has been confirmed as an extraterrestrial attack, the extraordinary heroics of the group known as the Avengers-"

It was eventually drowned out by another.  This one was showing a group of people outside.

"It's really great knowing they're out there, you know. That someone's watching over us."

"I love you, Thor!," A woman yells as she squeezes through the group.

The next screen had what seems to be a married couple talking to reporters.

"I just don't feel safe with those things out there," The husband says.

"It seems like there's a lot they're not telling us," His wife adds.

Other screens show parades and murals for The Avengers or sometimes specific members.

Another broadcast drowns out the others. It was a group of three children talking to the camera.

"Hulk is definitely the strongest Avenger," The Korean boy says.

The girl to his right gives him a weird look, "No, Thor is. He is a literal God."

"Hulk could crush Thor with his pinky," He replies.

The African kid who was quiet spoke up, "Have you guys not seen Superman? He could take on the entire team if he was a villain."

"We've been over this. Superman doesn't even register on the power ranking scale I've come up with," The girl tells him.

The Korean kid adds to that, "She's right... As Always."

The boy nods and tells them, "Guys.. If Superman doesn't register on the power scale then that means he's immeasurable. And if he's immeasurable, then his power is greater. Meaning he's the strongest Avenger."

"Miles! Ganke! Phin! C'mon we gotta go," a yell is heard off screen.

The three of them look off to the left and say simultaneously, "Coming."

"Dad, we gotta tell Rick and Uncle Aaron we were on TV!," Miles adds as the three of them exit view.

And on the last screen, The first broadcast was in the park. A couple elderly men were playing chess.

An extremely familiar old man was turned to the camera, "Superheroes? In New York? Give me a break!"

The video on the channel cuts out as he turns back around.

The last broadcast was a man at a podium. Most likely a congressman or senator. He was giving a speech but only the last part was heard.

"-These so called heroes have to be held responsible for the destruction done to the city. This was their fight. Where are they now?"
