▌❝ DESTRUCTION SUMMARY ❞

BASIL GAINES WAS adopted by Emma and Raymond Gaines making her their third daughter. She was nine months younger than her older sister Blake Gaines. Everything was perfect growing up, she knew she was adopted, that hadn't hidden that from her and it didn't matter. She had a family that cared about her.

SHE HAD HER parents, and she had her two older sisters who always took care of her and made sure she felt included. The three took care of each other and it made their sisterly bond strong. The three were best friends and nothing could separate them, not even their parents. Even if they tried to separate them it just couldn't be done.

BUT EMMA AND Ray didn't seem to be bothered by it. They loved that their daughters all got along. Shortly before they would graduate high school and start college, their older sister Mallory passed away in a rafting accident. That was truly the last time the Gaines family saw Mallory alive.

BOTH SISTERS WERE devastated by the loss of their older sister. Ray started to distance himself fearing he would lose his daughters or worse Emma. Once that happened, their mother didn't want to be in the relationship anymore. She separated from him and later on started a new relationship with Daniel Riddick.

BASIL AND BLAKE kept a close relationship with their father not wanting him out of the picture. They both wanted their parents back together, they wanted to be a family again. To keep Mallory's memory alive. Basil and Blake were set to drive up to their college with their dad to spend time with him.

BUT HE WAS pulled away after an Earthquake devastated the Hoover Dam. Destruction would soon follow with the San Andrea's fault line, putting Basil and Blake right in the middle of the chaos.
