Sorry for the huge pause on this, mainly just hot weather and feeling really crappy lately. So i hope this chapter makes up for it. 

Charlie looked in the mirror as she finished getting ready she couldn't believe today was the day. She was going to get to see and hug her dad. She finished brushing her hair and then started brushing her teeth. Stephen walks in just as she is finishing.

Stephen" Are you excited?"

Charlie*nods* Really excited like so excited"

Stephen*holds Charlie* I told you we would eventually be allowed to see people again"

Charlie" I was reading up on social bubbles and we can only mix with a small number of friends and family and stay within that bubble"

Stephen" Yeah that's right"

Charlie" I just can't wait to hug dad and never let him go"

Stephen" I'm sure he feels the same"

Charlie*hugs Stephen* I'm happy I was trapped in lockdown with you Stephen and not on my own think I would have gone mad"

Stephen*squeezes her tight* I'm glad I have been stuck in lockdown with you too"

They hold each other tight for a few minutes before Charlie grabs her things and Stephen grabs his keys. They arrive at Dec and Ali's house and Charlie couldn't wait to get out of the car. She hops out and runs up to the door. Stephen follows behind her swinging his keys from his fingers. The wait is quite long and when the door opens and Charlie and Dec look at each other for a few minutes before grabbing each other in an embrace and holds each other tight. Dec pulls Charlie inside and Stephen shuts the door after himself. They hold each other so close.

Charlie*grips Dec so hard* Oh dad I missed you so much"

Dec" I have missed you too Charlie, so so much"

They stay hugging for a good ten minutes before letting go. Rocky runs up and Charlie picks him up.

Charlie" Rocky, I've missed you so much"

Dec and Stephen laugh as Rocky licks Charlie's face. She cuddles his small frame and smothers him in kisses.

Dec still places his arm around Charlie and holds her into his side. They go into the garden and Ali is with Isla.

Isla" Charlie"

Charlie" Hello Isla"smiles*waves at her* Wish I could hug her you but I don't want to get you ill"

Dec" You probably couldn't but better safe than sorry"

Charlie" Of course I'm just happy I get to hug my dad"

Dec*hugs her close*

Ali" We was thinking of going to the park with a picnic"

Charlie" That sounds amazing but what about food"

Ali" Oh we bought your food the other day in preparation for the day when he heard about the social circles"

Charlie*smiles* Oooo yay, well a picnic sounds like a great idea"

Ali" Good I'll go get all the food ready"

Charlie" I'll help you"

They head into the kitchen and Dec looks at Stephen and they man hug.

Stephen" I'm so happy we can hug each other again, Charlie has been so excited for this day since they announced it"

Dec" Aww, I have felt exactly the same way abut this too, just to hug my eldest daughter again"

Stephen" She does give good cuddles"

Dec" So how has it been in lockdown for you everything been okay, you been looking after my daughter"

Stephen" Of course I always look after Charlie, she looks after me sometimes"

Dec" Awwww"

Stephen" The other day I was feeling really down and just wanted to get out of the house and I missed people so she cheered me up by gifting me with a new magic set and just really bad food"

Dec" Awww, bless her she is such a kind person, always willing to do things for other people"

Stephen*smiles* She told me she was happy to be stuck indoors with me in lockdown"

Dec" I'm happy you two were stuck in lockdown together I mean if it wasn't with me or Ant I'm glad it was you"

Stephen" Thanks Dec"

Charlie was helping Ali pack the picnic and was smiling as she did it.

Ali" You should have seen your father when he heard that we could have social bubbles, he was whopping and cheering and then he cried"

Charlie" Awwww, dad, I mainly did the same thing"

Ali*packs Isla's food* We have all missed you around here"

Charlie" I have missed you all too"

Ali" I've missed your happiness around the house you remind me a lot of your dad, you both have the same..."

Charlie" Cheeky smile?

Ali" Yeah, how did you know?"

Charlie" I've been told that a lot"

Ali*smiles* laughs* Well it's very noticeable you have your dad's colour hair and cheeky smile and your mum's eyes"

Charlie" Yeah the only thing that I got from my mother"

Ali" Sorry I brought it up"

Charlie" It's okay don't worry about it"

They both look at the picnic basket and exchange looks.

Ali" I think we have got enough in here for two days"*laughs*

Charlie" Well us Donnelly's can put away food especially Chinese"

Ali" Yeah I think Isla has got The Donnelly Appetite"

Charlie" Good for her, I've missed her a lot"

Ali" She has missed you too"

After packing the picnic they headed off to the park, Stephen and Charlie in his car and Dec, Ali and Isla in their car. They pulled up at the park and it was empty apart from some people in small circles. They lay down a blanket and Ali keeps Ali in her pram to feed her and they all tuck into the picnic. Charlie has her hand in a bag of crisps and out of the corner of her eye she sees paps.

Charlie*rolls her eyes* Paps"

Dec" Of course, as long they are keeping two metres apart I don't care"

Charlie" I don't really notice them anymore not as much as I used to"

Stephen" Yeah I remember when I took you out a lot as a kid they were always hanging around, it's like they were waiting for me to mess so they had something to write about"

Charlie" Awww, I loved those days out when I was little"

Stephen" Me too, you were always so happy to see me and I did love spoiling you"

Dec" You were spoilt a lot as a kid but I was making good money and you were my only daughter back then"

Charlie" Well I appreciate everything I have and everyone I have, I have gorgeous baby sister, a loving mother, Uncle Stephen and the best dad ever"

Charlie and Dec hug again and just lay in each other's arms. Charlie holds him tight.

Charlie" I definitely didn't think I would get to hug you again dad"

Dad" I thought the same, I just missed your hugs a lot"

Charlie leans into her dad and he kisses her forehead.

After the picnic, they had a run around the park and Rocky chases them all barking happily. Ali holds Isla as they run around and Dec picks up Charlie helped by Stephen and then lay on the floor tickling her.

Charlie" Guys get off"*smiles*

Dec pulls her in close hugging her.

Ali looks at the three on the floor smiling.

Ali" You three alright down there"

They all smile.

After a couple of hours, they decided to pack up and go home. After the announcement you can be out longer they thought the picnic was a good idea. While Stephen helped Dec pack up the picnic while Ali put Isla in her car seat. Charlie was playing with Rocky and he was barking a lot. She then picks him up and cuddles him as he tries to give her kisses.

They had been back two hours and Isla was playing with her toys on the floor with Rocky and Ali. Charlie was cuddling with Dec and they were watching the telly. Stephen sat on the other side. Charlie smiles as they watch telly.

Charlie" I'm happy we don't have to go home and we can stay over"

Dec" Me too"

Charlie leans into her dad he cuddles her close. 

I really hope you liked this chapter I have had this idea since they announced social bubbles or circles. I have done lots of research on it but forgive me if some of it is wrong.
