Charlie Donnelly (Born 20th December 1992) is known mostly for her presenting work on Britains Got More Talent as a co-host alongside Stephen Mulhern and her work on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now or as it was most notably known later on as Extra camp. She was first seen on Byker Grove as a baby of a teenager on the show and has followed in her father's footsteps and has been acting and presenting since she was born.

Early Life

Donnelly is the first child of Declan Donnelly of one half of the comedy duo Ant and Dec, she was born on 20th December 1992.  She is the eldest of her two siblings, she has a half brother by a different father and a half-sister by a different mother. Donnelly attended St Charles's Roman Catholic Primary School and St Mary's Catholic Secondary School like her father. She went into a career in television like her father when she was only a year old.

Career

Donnelly's career in television began when she was a baby first appearing in the tv series Byker Grove where her dad met Ant for the first time, she was largely in involved with her dads shows when she was a child. She then went on to present and judge shows like SMTV, Pop Idol, Saturday Night Takeaway, Britains Got More Talent, I'm a Celebrity Extra Camp and Got To Dance. In 1993 Donnelly first appeared onto our screens in Byker Grove as a 1-year old after a teenager gets pregnant. In 1997 Donnelly appeared on Ant and Dec's Geordie Christmas doing a segment called Dec's Little Helper where they played games to win prizes for the audience. In 1998 Donnelly made her appearance on SMTV where she played games with the audience members and tried to win viewers at home prizes. In 2000 she left the show but returned in 2003 to present alongside Stephen Mulhern.

2002 was when Donnelly starred on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway with Segments such as, Little Donnelly Segment where they would find out what Charlie had done at school and what she had learned. Teenagers were created when Charlie turned 13 and she would chat to kids her age about their problems. In 2005 Donnelly became a presenter on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now before it changed to Extra Camp, she started as a co-presenter alongside Joe Swash the King of the jungle, later joined by celebrities such as Laura Whitmore, Rob Beckett, David Morgan,  Vicky Pattinson(Queen of the jungle) Stacey Solomon (Queen of The Jungle, Chris Ramsey, Joel Dommett, Emily Atack and Adam Thomas. In 2020 it was announced that Extra Camp was axed after the premiere in 2002.

Two years later Donnelly was given the job by Simon Cowell as a co-presenter on Britains Got More Talent alongside Stephen Mulhern. Cowell had been watching Donnelly since was born alongside Mulhern and decided the two of them would be a great pair for the show. Donnelly and Mulhern were the only presenters for the show apart from in 2011 when Donnelly went on tour with Diversity. In October 2019 it was announced that Britains Got Talent had been axed in favour of online streaming services.

From 2009 to 2019 Donnelly has appeared on shows like Ant and Dec's Christmas Show where she co-presented, Got To Dance where she was a judge alongside Ashley Banjo, Adam Garcia and Kimberly Wyatt and Aston MerryGold in 2013, she judged all sorts of styles of dance and they gave a gold star if they liked the act and a red star if they didn't like them, four gold stars and you are through. Text Santa was shown in 2011 and finished in 2014, they would do crazy antics, funny jokes all themed around Christmas just to raise money for charity, Charlie was a co-presenter alongside Stephen Mulhern. More recently she appeared in Ant and Dec's DNA Journey where she spoke about Ant McPartlin and her heritage. BGT The Champions aired from all the contestants on the show from all different countries and even though there was no BGMT Donnelly still chatted about it on her Instagram.

Donnelly also went to star in four films as a kid called Love Actually, My Dog Oliver, Good Boy and Alien Autopsy. She also ran a radio show with Stephen Mulhern and Emma Willis.

Personal Life

On 22 July 2006 Donnelly was a bridesmaid at Mcpartlin's wedding to Lisa Armstrong. In August 2011, Donnelly attended her grandad's funeral, after he died in hospital of cancer.

Donnelly has dated many boys but none have led to a serious relationship. On 1st August 2015, Donnelly was a bridesmaid at her dad's wedding to Ali Astall his manager he had been with for over a year. The wedding took place at St Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Elswick, Tyne and Wear. The Ceremony was conducted by her uncle, Father Dermott Donnelly, a catholic priest. On 1st September 2019 Donnelly became a big sister for the second time to a little sister who was named Isla Elizabeth Anne.

In November 2019 Donnelly appeared in some scenes with her father and Anthony McPartlin in Ant and Dec's DNA Journey.

Donnelly was sent to Roman Catholic schools like her father but does not mention it a lot.

Charity

Donnelly has appeared on many tv shows to raise money for charity. In 2011-2014 she raised millions of pounds on Text Santa alongside her father and McPartlin alongside other presenters like Philip Scofield and Holly Willoughby. Donnelly has also appeared on Celebrity Catchphrase since 2013 as she is great mates with Stephen Mulhern.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this, it took me at least three days to come up with things, edit it and write it all in. I also had to research a lot of stuff so it wasn't inaccurate.
