Look out

Yuki's P.O.V.

I heard someone knocking on the door. L was still in shock and Near seemed to afraid to move. I shared a look with Mello then took a breath. I went to the door and peeped through the hole.

Huh. I opened the door. "I didn't expect you to be coming over today, Light." I said, looking him over. He seemed like his normal self but something felt...off. I didn't know how to describe it. I just had this odd sense. But then again, I might have been traumatized by everything that just happened with (Y/n).

"I thought I was supposed to come by everyday...? Do you want me to leave?" He asked, awkwardly grasping his arm.

"Light, I don't know how to put this but... Here, just come here." I said, ushering him inside. I didn't want whoever did this to (Y/n) getting in here. I quickly locked the door.

"What's gotten you all shaken up? I've never seen you like this--" He laughed a bit at me, but stopped himself when he saw what was happening in the main room. (Y/n) still wasn't responding. Near was trying his hardest to try and position her so that her obviously broken leg wouldn't get stuck on anything. I shivered just imagining it.

I never had a good look at what (Y/n) had looked like. Like I said, her leg was tilted at a wrong angle. Looking at it made my legs feel weak. Her right arm looked pretty messed up too, but it wasn't broken at least. Other than that, she seemed just exhausted. It's better than her being dead.

"...No..." Light muttered out quietly. He seemed to be in the same kind of shock L was in. They had both just froze. Mello had had just about enough of it. He started calling someone else, and quickly went into a different room to finish his call.

I remembered the wet rag I had gotten, and I brought it over to (Y/n). I started trying to clean her up a little bit.

"I was so selfish...I can't believe this. This is my fault..." Near whispered to himself. I mean, yeah, it was. I wasn't going to try and make him feel better about himself. He should have stayed with her. He decided to run off and this is what happened.

This wasn't my fault. I have no idea if (Y/n) was at McDonalds with me and Mello. Yeah, I guess I should have kept an eye on her, but Near was the one who told her to go with him to the bathrooms. This is his fault.

I shot a side glare at him, before turning my attention to (Y/n) again.

"What happened...!" Light said suddenly. I looked at him for a moment.

"We don't know, she just got here. She knocked on the door and fell on top of me. I've never seen her like this..." I answered. He had the right to know, right? He was just trying to help.

As if he just realized it, L turned to Light. You could feel  it. There was this tension in the air, everyone was suddenly at each other's throats. For a long time, we were all there. Staring. Each one of us blamed the other for what was happening to (Y/n). Well, almost. Near was a mess blaming himself.

Something broke the silence. A grunt. We turned to face the source.

"Nrggh..."

It was (Y/n). Thank God. She moved a bit, but when she put pressure on her broken leg or her arm, she gasped out in pain. For the first time in what felt like years, she opened her eyes. She looked like she was hurting.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n), are you alright?! What happened to you?!" Near seemed like he was close to bursting.

It took her a minute to understand just what he had said. She closed her eyes and opened them again a few times. Her eyes went over all of us, but she seemed confused.

"I...what? What am I doing here and...why does everything hurt so much? It feels like I got hit by a car." She responded.

"(Y/n), do you remember what happened? Anything at all?" Light questioned. She was quiet for a moment, trying to remember anything.

"I...I don't remember how I got here. When did I fall asleep? I...Why can't I remember?"

L moved away, out of the room. I had no idea what he was doing. I looked back towards (Y/n) and sighed. I had to get her to a hospital, right? I needed to help her, I couldn't just leave her like this. She has no idea what happened to her. After this, there is no way I'm letting her out of my sight again.

God, I was so stupid.
