Your POV
After much more wandering, and asking a teacher for directions, you, Ruby and Jaune found yourselves in the amphitheater. It was a boiling pot for chatter as the potential new students of Beacon gathered for the first time on mass. Before any of you could say a word the sound of a familiar blonde cut through the noise and reached you.

Busty Blonde: "Ruby, over here, I saved you a spot!" She bounced up and down waving her arm, certainly catching the attention of the red-tipped head in question.

Ruby: "I-i got to go, I'll see you both after the ceremony." She said before she ran towards the blonde, mumbling something about being embarrassing.

Jaune: "Hey wait! Nyeh, great. Where are we supposed to find another nice quirky girl to talk too?"

Looking around for a brief second, you saw a redhead in gold spartan armour, who definitely looked familiar. You were about to suggest to Jaune that you go over to her when a large group of what you presumed to be her friends ran over to her. Shrugging away the idea you followed Jaune who had elected to just walk in a random direction.

3rd Person POV
Ruby ran over to Yang, leaving her two new friends, not looking happy. However Yang seemed oblivious to the embarrassment she had caused her sister and greeted her warmly.

Yang: "How's your first day going little sister?" Ruby pouted at the upbeat question.

Ruby: "You mean since you abandoned me and I exploded?"

Yang: "Yikes, meltdown already?"

Ruby: "No! I literally exploded, there was some fire and I think some ice." Yang held a proud grin as she leaned towards her sister.

Yang: "Are you being sarcastic?"

Ruby: "I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's suitcase, so she yelled at me, then I sneezed, then we exploded and then she yelled again and I just wanted her to stop-" Ruby's little recap was cut short by the intrusion of Weiss.

Weiss: "YOU!"

Ruby: "Oh god it's happening again!" Ruby jumped into Yangs arms as she panicked, Yang looking utterly bewildered. However Weiss was only starting.

Weiss: "You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!"

Yang: "Oh my god, you actually exploded..." Yang stated as she put Ruby down, more shocked than anything.

Ruby: "It was an accident!" Weiss shoved a pamphlet at Ruby who reluctantly took it. "What's this?"

Weiss: "The Schnee dust company is not responsible for any accident or injury causedbyschneedustcompanyproductsalthoughnotmandotorytheschneedustcompanysuggestsyoupayyourrespectstotheauthor." She said quickly, too quickly for even Ruby to understand.

Ruby: "Uhhh."

Weiss: "You really want to make this up to me?"

Ruby: "Absolutely?"

Weiss: "Read this and don't ever talk to me again."

[Archer: Oh how little she knew.]

Yang, seeing how this train wreck was going to end, decided to try to defuse the tension.

Yang: "Look, it seems you two just got off on the wrong foot, why don't you start over and try to be friends, ok?" Weiss gave the blonde a blank stare which she just half smiled back at.

Ruby: "Yea, that's a great idea. Hello Weiss, I'm Ruby, want to be friends? We could go shopping for school supplies?" She beamed a smile while holding out a hand.

Weiss: "Ya and we can paint our nails, try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, dark and handsome over there." The heiress pointed in the direction of (Y/N), much to her own surprise.

What didn't help the situation was that, after she had said it, (Y/N) looked straight at the both of them and fired off a wink, making Ruby blush and Weiss go red from embarrassment.

Ruby: "R-really?" She asked looking hopeful as they both snapped out of their embarrassment.

Weiss: "No."

Ruby was about to speak again when the stage microphone clicked on with an audible hum, silencing the amphitheater. Weiss glared one last time at Ruby as she realised she wouldn't have time to walk away without seeming uninterested in the speech.

Ozpin stepped up to the microphone, coffee cup in hand and Glynda close by.

Ozpin: "I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

Ozpin stepped away from the microphone and left the stage, leaving the students whispering about the unenthusiastic speech.

Your POV

Glynda: "You will gather in the ballroom tonight, but be ready, initiation is tomorrow."

After, what you could only say was, Ozpin's attempt at giving off an uninterested aura, you decided that messing with Weiss would be a much better use of your time.

Walking over smirking, you slid yourself into the girl's presence without much hassle.

(Y/N): "Normally, I wouldn't go for Schnee's but maybe I can make an exception, since you're interested."

You gave Weiss another wink only making her go red faced, whether from embarrassment or anger you couldn't tell. She stormed off once more, as she failed to stutter a response.

With a little laugh you watched her go before turning your attention to Ruby and the blonde. It was probably time you introduced yourself.

(Y/N): "(Y/N) (L/N), and who are you?"

[Archer: Author points to whoever can name the character and show.]

Yang: "I'm Yang Xiao Long... wait weren't you the guy who was with Ruby earlier?"

(Y/N): "Aye, although there was another guy with us, Jaune, he's wandered off somewhere but he'll be fine." You looked between Yang and Ruby and raised an eyebrow. "If you don't mind me asking, how do you know each other?"

Ruby: "We're actually sisters..."

Yang: "Yep! This cute little bundle of joy is my half sister." Yang wrapped her sister in a headlock and began pinching her cheeks much to Ruby's embarrassment.

Ruby: "Yng shtp!" She mumbled, her words coming out wrong thanks to the blondes meddling.

(Y/N): "Yea I was gonna say, there is definitely a difference between you two." Yang let go of her sister, who rubbed her cheeks in annoyance.

Yang: "Oh really? What sort of difference?" She flirted, with a smirk, as she leaned closer to you, obviously implying a more physical difference.

(Y/N): "Your hair for one, sweetheart. Someone likes it long, clearly." You shot back, not one to back down from a flirt off.

Yang: "Yep, that's me, Long is in the name y'know." This made you pause with a deadpan expression.

(Y/N): "Was that a pun? God, I think I'm falling in love."

Ruby: "Please don't encourage her..."

Yang: "It's too late Ruby, this friendship is starting off with a Yang."

Ruby: "Can't you say bang like a normal person?"

(Y/N): "The banging will come later." You and Yang both shot each other a smirk as the joke flew over Ruby's head. "Until then we should probably make our way over towards the ballroom. After all we don't want a tired Ruby when she Roses from bed." You and Yang high-fived as Ruby dropped her head in defeat.

Ruby: "Ugh, there's two of her now..."

{Timeskip brought to you by Chibi Qrow fighting the dastardly length of the woman's skirt.}

You stepped out of the locker room, now dressed in only pyjama bottoms, and headed towards the ballroom. You had already picked out out a spot next to Jaune and set up there. It wasn't your first choice but it would do. Walking back into the ballroom you carefully navigated past the sleeping teens and the group of guys showing off to the girls. You went and sat down on your sleeping bag and turned to Jaune, who had on his onesie, clearly not caring how others saw him. He was currently looking around the place letting his vision linger before moving.

(Y/N): "So... what are you doing?"

Jaune: "Just checking out some of the girls, mainly her." You watched as he pointed towards a familiar white haired Schnee, she was dressed in a nightgown and was just getting up, no doubt to go yell at someone. "Cute, don't you think?"

(Y/N): "Yeah, no."

Jaune: "Anyway, what've you been doing?"

(Y/N): "Just exploring the area, don't want to get lost again."

You had used that excuse with Ruby and Yang to go look for Ozpin but unfortunately he couldn't be found, you'd have to talk to him another time, so then you did actually explore the area which explained your lack of choice on who you bunked next too. Not that you hated Jaune but you had a feeling Yang and Ruby would've made better company.

Jaune: "Alright, I'm going to hit the hay."

And just like that he fell asleep, proving your point and leaving you with your thoughts. That was until you heard Weiss shouting, as you suspected she would. Looking towards the noise you saw Yang, Ruby, Schnee and the girl who wore a black bow. Jumping up you decided to go join in on the little shouting match.

Weiss: "Oh, now you're on my side?!"

Ruby: "I was always on your side!"

(Y/N): "And I'm about to kick all your backsides unless you shut up."

Your sudden appearance cause everyone, aside the girl in the bow, to jump away from you, clearly shocked. Looking between the four you drank in the sight, well of at least two of them.

Your eyes started on Yang, having skipped over Weiss and Ruby for a lack of interest and age respectively, you were not displeased by what you saw, her black shorts showed off her legs nicely letting you gawk at them in secret. She also showed off some midriff, with her shirt hanging up her stomach slightly as it fought to contain her voluptuous breasts that you certainly weren't taking glances at. Finally her arms were exposed that showed the fruits of her training.

Then there was the mystery girl, and damn did the illusion of mystery match her choices. The bow was ever-present but it was definitely a change from her normal appearance. She had on a sort of robe that covered her in the majority but definitely left you wondering what she had on underneath. The best part of the outfit was that, similar to Yang she had a pair of beautiful legs and was easily showing them off.

Weiss: "Oh not you again..." Her rant died in her throat before it could start.

(Y/N): "What's wrong ice queen, cat got your tongue?"

You could've sworn you saw the bow clad girl freeze up for a split second on you saying this, but it was probably your imagination. That's when you noticed the four staring at you and Ruby and Weiss becoming slightly redder with each second.

(Y/N): "Would me putting on a shirt help this situation?"

Whatever the four were thinking, your comment was enough to snap them out of it, causing them to return to normal.

Weiss: "Pff, Of course not! I was just merely here to silence these buffoons, but clearly you all insist on gathering in a herd." She said, storming off without giving anyone a moment to retort. She had learnt from your last meeting.

Yang: "Actually, I think you putting on a shirt would've hurt the situation. But sadly it seems it is resolving itself..." She pouted before smirking. "I'll just have to make sure you're on my team, see ya cutie. Bye Blake." She shot you a wink before saying her goodbyes to Blake who just nodded in response. She then grabbed onto Ruby and started pulling her away.

Ruby: "See you tomorrow (Y/N)! See you tomorrow Blake!"

(Y/N): "Night you two... So you're Blake?" You asked, turning your attention back to her.

Blake: "Yes." She said, not bothering to look up from her book.

(Y/N): "Watcha reading there?" You inquired, trying to get a peak at the cover.

Blake: "A book." She deadpanned, clearly uninterested.

(Y/N): "Right... would you rather I leave you too it?"

Blake: "Please."

(Y/N): "Right, goodnight then." You nodded to her while waving her off.

Blake: "Goodnight to you too." She said, giving a half-wave as if it was a proper goodbye.

You walked away from her not at all effected by the huge brush off. Instead you happily went back to your sleeping back and drifted off to sleep.
