Your POV

The moon was shining bright as stars twinkled. Many had gone to bed at this hour and the light of JNPRs dorm room stood out against the dark of the outside. Nora was jumping on her bed quite childishly, Ren was cleaning his weapon, Pyrrha was staring out the window and you were staring at the red head concerned that your talk the other day was losing its effect.

Nora: "Why does Jaune get home so late?"

Ren: "He's become rather scarce since he began fraternising with Cardin."

Nora: "That's weird doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow. We need our rest." Nora did a flip and landed on the bed on her back. 'Nailed it!'

(Y/N): "Yes we do, you though, I'm not so sure."

Nora: "What's that supposed to mean?"

(Y/N): "I'll tell you what it means... No pancakes before bedtime." You stood with your arm out stretched and looked away quite dramatically. Nora catching on moved in front of you and grovelled.

Nora: "My lord say it isn't true."

(Y/N): "I'm afraid it is, the chocolate chip mines have not been manned for quite sometime and we are running low."

Ren: "No please don't encourage her..."

Nora: "My lord if it must be done I will take on the duty as ChocChip miner."

(Y/N): "You but you are simply a child! You would die quite horrifically down there."

Nora: "For the pancakes my lord I'll give my life." Everyone stared at each other and began to laugh when you heard a door shut.

You and Ruby were in weapons class where you just so happened to be partners, mainly because she clung to you during the first lesson as you were the only one she knew in the class. As of right now however you were being grilled over your weapon.

Ruby: "Can it shoot lasers?"

(Y/N): "No."

Ruby: "Oh oh does it turn into a rocket launcher that shoots flaming swords?"

(Y/N): "That's sounds awesome! But no."

Ruby: "Wait wait! Does it turn into a gun that shoots a gun that shoots a gun that shoots a gun?!" You stared at the red hooded girl in bewilderment.

(Y/N): "Ruby I'll tell you what it does. It allows me to eat." You took a mouthful of porridge, where you got it only confused her further, to show off the amazing feature.

Ruby: "So it's just a spork?"

(Y/N): "No no! It's a magical spork. It can detect dorks watch." You took the spork and pointed it around the room and eventually pointed it at Ruby. "Oh no Ruby I'm detecting major levels of dorkitude specifically about weapons." Ruby's face went red and she huffed rather adorably.

Ruby: "I was being serious." She tried to say in a super serious voice, arms crossed.

(Y/N): "So was I but I never said it was a bad thing, some males think of it like I do, rather cute."

Ruby: "You're acting as if we're hard to understand." Ruby paused 'Wait did he call me cute. Nah that's stupid."

(Y/N): "Well my mentor once said, Women are very hard to understand and trying to explain how to understand them is even harder, now shut up and help me gets this women's phone number."

Ruby: "You tell a lot of stories about him but always refer to him as your mentor why?"

(Y/N): "He said one day he would visit and that it might be interesting if I don't say his name to anyone."

Ruby: "He sounds like a weirdo."

(Y/N): "He is. He's a drunk weirdo." The bell to class went. "Oh seems we should head to the bullhead ey?"

You all stepped off the bullhead to be greeted by the second reddest sight you had ever seen. The suns beams barley lit up the red forest as leaves fell to the ground allowing a satisfying crunch when stepped on. Looking to Ruby you laughed as she almost blended in.

Ruby: "What's so funny?" You continued to laugh. "Stop it!" Her face went red from embarrassment only causing your laugh to hearten much to her displeasure. Soon enough you had calmed yourself.

(Y/N): "Sorry it's just that no one could beat you in hide and seek here red." Ruby's cape fluttered in front of her on cue and she got the message and began to laugh while the others stared at you two as if you were crazy.

Glynda: "May I remind you children we're not here to sight see. Professor Peach has asked you all to get sap from the trees deep inside this forest. And I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so. Each student is to gather one jar full of red sap. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock have fun."

Leaving you to your own devices Glynda moved onward as RWBY, NPR and yourself headed one way you noticed Jaune give a weak attempt at following before getting pulled back by Cardin. You also noticed Pyrrha give a defeated sigh.

Jaunes POV

I trudged along with the 6 bottles of sap, sniffing as my nose was blocked. I sneezed occasionally and almost dropped the jars before putting on quite the show to catch them again. I was a laughing stock. Finally I reached Cardin and collapsed to my knees, dropping the jars which I know learned were not going to break in the first place, I face planted and stopped listening only answering on auto pilot. That was until I realised we had moved and that we were now looking at the group of my friends or more specifically (Y/N).

Cardin: "... apparently these things love sweets. So we're going to teach him a lesson or two." Cardin tugged me to my feet. "And you're going to do it."

Jaune: "D-do what?" I could hear the hesitation and fear in my own voice.

Cardin: "Hit him with the sap or I'm gonna have a nice talk with Goodwitch and get you sent home on the next airship to Vale."

I turned and aimed with the jar when something in me snapped finally.

Jaune: "No."

Cardin: "What did you say?"

Jaune: "I said no!" I threw the jar and it shattered on Cardins chest. I tried to back away slowly when I was grabbed.

Your POV

You were bored out of your mind as you had already collected your sap so you were just staring at people... alright only the females... ok mainly at there thighs, butts, etc but in your defence Qrow raised you in your hormonal years.

That was until you saw people running.

Springing to your feet you ran to the others as Yang caught one of, who you could now recognise as, Cardins cronies.

Russel: "Ursa! Ursa! It's got Cardin!"

Pyrrha: "Jaune!" You and her both took off running as Ruby ordered her team before following you two.

When you got there you saw Jaune taking on an Ursa. Weiss was about to intervene.

(Y/N) / Pyrrha: "Wait." Weiss put down her weapon in respect of Pyrrha.

After a short lived come back Jaune charged in for a final attack although so did the Ursa and Jaunes shield wasn't in a position to block. Until it flowed black and moved into position which allowed Jaune to decapitate the Ursa. You turned to Pyrrha who's hand was still glowing black.

(Y/N): "Polarity. Nice."

Ruby: "Wow she can control poles." You turned to Ruby with a serious look.

(Y/N): "Never change... ever." Weiss simply scoffed.

Weiss: "It means she has control over magnets."

Ruby: "Magnets are cool too."

(Y/N): "Just like don't, please." You finished your earlier statement.

Weiss: "We should tell him what happened."

Pyrrha: "No leave him."

Weiss: "What why?"

(Y/N): "Because we could tell him and crush his hopes and dreams or we could just go." Weiss seemed to contemplate this so you ran over and lifted her over your shoulder before taking off back to the rendezvous. Weiss struggled and kicked as the others followed. "I'm not looking up your skirt if that's what worry's ya." You teased making her thrash about more.

You and Pyrrha climbed the rooftop staircase in silence as the shinning stars shimmered against the dark sky while the moon in all its shattered glory cast illumination over Beacon. You had both been asked by Janue to meet you up here. You were soon at the place that started the whole thing. The rooftop.

Jaune: "Thank you for coming."

Pyrrha: "Of course."

Jaune: "I'm I'm sorry, both of you. I was a jerk, you were only trying to help and I threw it back at you. I-i had all this macho stuff in my head-" Pyrrha cut him off.

Pyrrha: "Jaune. It's okay. Your team really misses their leader you know."

Jaune: "I know and I really shouldn't be asking after all that happened but... would you still be willing to help me become a better fighter?"

Pyrrha turned away before turning back and walking over and pushing Jaune over.

Pyrrha: "Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground." Pyrrha helped Jaune up.

(Y/N): "You're one to talk." The two looked over suddenly realising you were with them this whole time. "You you both forgot about me didn't you!" They were both silent as you walked over and pushed Jaune over. "She is right though. Your stance is way worse than hers." Pyrrha seemed offended while Jaune looked up a little shocked.

Jaune: "So you forgive me?"

(Y/N): "You betrayed me. You betrayed my trust. But do you actually think I care that little for you that betraying me would make a difference?" You helped Jaune back up. "Now both of you stances now."
