Consequences (Chapter 40)

The Taturus was dead.

It had split in two, cleaved in half by its own blade. It stayed stood for a few moments before toppling backwards like a great oak tree that had been cut from its roots.
The Grimm, before it could hit the ground, evaporated like water into the air leaving only black and white dust in its places which disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

With the death of the Taturus the endless tide of Grimm quickly fell to the hail of fire that was the Atlas support. The near pitch black surrounding the breach cracked which allowed the newly arriving Glynda Goodwitch to patch the hole by using her semblance. Large chunks of rock and cement flew from the rubble and replaced itself back in the foundations recreating the wall and cutting off all new Grimm that could possibly enter the city. With that the Grimm's numbers began to drop and drop until you would be hard pressed to find them.

The three teams were left stunned and shocked. They were as still as statues as they processed what they had just witnessed. That was until the dust settled in the crater the hero of the hour had created and out of it came (Y/N), battered, bruised and bleeding while being supported by Ruby. (Y/N)'s left arm was completely gone now, all that was left was the oozing red to fall from the coat sleeve. His leg was twisted in an unnatural shape that made his movements awkward and jagged as he approached them. Finally across his eye was the ravine like gash that had rendered his eye completely useless and constantly bled out staining his torn clothes and dusty coat.

Team CFVY was first to react deciding to give the younger teams their space and leaving to go help with pest control of the remaining Grimm. As soon as they had made their depart the others made their move, rushing towards the immortal and Ruby. They met the two not far from the impact crater he had made when landing from the fight.

Pyrrha: "Are you okay?!"

Nora: "How did you do that?!"

Blake: "Why did you do that?!

The two teams crowded around you, each with their own question or thing to say constantly, the questions ran around your head and made it ring annoyingly. They wouldn't shut up and you couldn't stop yourself anymore.

(Y/N): "Shut up!" You yelled silencing them all in an instant. "Blake. Give me your gun."

Blake nodded and pulled out her gun holding it in her open palm towards you, she hadn't let the statement process in her head, much to shocked by the sudden outburst. However when you went to take the gun Weiss snatched it away, concern lining her face.

Weiss: "Why do you need it?" Anger bubbles to the surface and replaced your annoyance.

(Y/N): "Because, you inconsiderate girl, I am in a truly astonishing amount of pain after dealing with that Grimm near single-handily. I am barley standing and losing blood with each second that goes by BUT oh no that doesn't matter let's hound him with idiotic questions!" You pushes away from Ruby and staggered forwards as everyone stared in shock. "And when I have a single request! When I am asking for mercy! The pompous and privileged heiress refuses it and take away my salvation demanding to know why I want something she disagrees with! Well your royal highness if you could just allow a peasant his death-" You snatched the gun from Weiss's trembling hands and started limping away from the two teams. "-It would be very much appreciated."

Yang: "Hey! That was completely uncalled for!" You stopped and turned around, your eye met her eyes making her flinch backwards.

(Y/N): "So was blowing my head off you blonde b-" You pulled the trigger before you could finish and your body fell to the floor.

The two teams stared at the dead body of their friend, they all knew he'd be back but the words he had left them with and how he had taken his life while berating them left the teens rooted to the spot. After what felt like an hour but in reality was a few minutes Jaune spoke.

Jaune: "What did he mean 'blowing his head off'?" All eyes turned on Yang as her own widened.

Yang: "I-I... when we separated on the train, (Y/N) and I were fighting this woman. She said something and in a fit of anger I accidentally shot him with my gauntlet..." She choked up a bit as she retold what she had done.

Blake: "What did she say?"

Yang: "It doesn't matter!" She yelled causing everyone to flinch. "It really doesn't matter, I shouldn't have done it and I feel terrible..."

Pyrrha: "Yang... I'm sure he'd forgive you."

Yang: "But why? I don't deserve his forgiveness."

Ruby: "Because I did the same thing as you once and he forgave me." The siblings looked at each other for a second before the elder wiped her brimming tears.

Yang: "Alright..."

Jaune: "I don't mean to be rude but what do we do know?"

Ren: "We can't exactly leave his body here after he shot himself."

Cinder: "Who shot themselves?" The surprised teens turned quickly to see Cinder, how they hadn't noticed her arrival was a mystery.

Ruby: "Oh hi Cinder, it was (Y/N)..."

Cinder: "The immortal right?"

Blake: "You could say that."

Cinder: "Good Ms. Goodwitch was looking for him and asked me to get him."

Pyrrha: "Well we'll take him."

Cinder: "No, no, she wanted you all to help with the evacuation and to make sure there are no more Grimm lurking about. I'll be fine taking him."

Nora: "Well it's settled then! Come on let's go!" She said before skipping away without a second thought, Ren and Jaune quickly followed to make sure she didn't do anything stupid but the others stayed a moment looking at (Y/N) with concern.

Cinder: "Don't worry, he took out a Taturus on his own, he'll be fine." She smiled again as she threw Blake's gun back to her. Blake was momentarily confused as to how she knew that it was her gun but couldn't dwell on it as the others nodded and they all left.

Cinder smiled to herself and looked down at the dead teen in-front of her. With some effort she managed to lift his prone body and began walking the opposite way to Glynda.

{Le Timeskip brought to you by Cinder having full 'access' to you.}

You awoke groggily and groaning, it was strange you felt as if you were out for much longer than you should've been. What was stranger was that you were in a fresh set of clothes. Sitting up you began looking around, panic began to set in you were in possibly the worst place you could've woken up. You only had one thought running around your mind and that was how you were going to survive.

That's when Ozpin noticed you were awake.

Ozpin: "(Y/N)..." His tone was neutral and the fact you couldn't discern any emotion led to your fears being built upon.

(Y/N): "Ozpin. I can explain what happened." You said slowly while rising from the bench at the furthest edge in his office.

Ozpin: "You can? Well, I am very much interested to know how the Grimm managed to breach the city. Oh wait, a train smashed through a wall and if I'm not mistaken you were on it."

(Y/N): "Yes I was-" You began as you approached him at his desk before getting interrupted.

Ozpin: "Alongside the rest of your team, oh and Ms. Rose who had previously been kidnapped had she not?" You nodded. "Didn't I tell you to see if you could rescue her and then wait for backup?"

(Y/N): "You did-"

Ozpin: "Then why didn't you?!" He slammed his hands down on his desk before standing. "Do you know what you have cost me?! I now have the Vale Council breathing down my neck thinking I'm not fit for duty! Fear is spreading throughout the city of this happening again!"

(Y/N): "Hey! We saved the city!" You shot back determined to defend yourself.

Ozpin: "After endangering it! Do you know how many people died in the attack because of you?! What's worse is you revealed your power to anyone who was around! What if one of Salem's minions was watching?! You'd have shown your entire hand and made them realise you're a threat! What if they go after your friends now?! Did you never stop and think?!"

(Y/N): "I-I..."

Ozpin: "No I didn't think you did."

Suddenly the doors to the elevator dinged before opening as Glynda Goodwitch stepped out. She stopped upon seeing Ozpin leaning over his desk at you.

Glynda: "Should I come back later?"

Ozpin: "No I'm done with him. We'll speak another time."

(Y/N): "Of course."

You walked away from the desk and went into the elevator, pressed a button and watched Ozpin until the doors closed. Once they did you sank to the floor and stared at your slightly shaking hands. He had insulted you with such anger that it flashed memories of what happened just before you died, like a plague, images of you insulting your friends taunted you.

(Y/N): "I need to apologise."

When the elevator dinged again and the doors opened you walked out slightly more dignified. You walked towards your dorm and stood outside the door, sighing you opened the door and pushed inside but were slightly surprised to find no one was in there. Running a hand through your hair you decided to try the dorm opposite yours, RWBY's. Closing the door you turned around and knocked, deciding it was better than just walking in and risk seeing anyone undressed... again.

(Y/N): "Hello?" You asked knocking again. Then you heard the sudden shuffling and the patter of footsteps, then the door flew open and stood in front of you was Ruby in her Pyjamas.

Ruby: "O-oh hi there..." She smiled up at you with an adorable head tilt.

(Y/N): "Hey, where is everyone else?"

Ruby: "Oh they all went to a party in the common room, I didn't want to go though."

(Y/N): "Oh, alright, can I come in? We need to talk anyway."

Ruby: "Of course!" She let go of the door and turned on her foot before going back to her bunk bed. She patted the spot next to her much to your amusement.

Closing the door you walked over to the bunk bed and jumped up and into the bed making it shake for a moment before settling, the time for questioning the stability of it had long past.

(Y/N): "Alright, about earlier after the Grimm fight I just wanted to say I'm sorry. None of you deserved to be insulted like you were. I shouldn't have done it and I regret it immensely-"

Ruby: "Okay." She smiled.

(Y/N): "O-okay?" You looked at her slightly confused.

Ruby: "Well yea. You're my boyfriend I know you better than to think you actually meant everything you said. You apologising just shows you regret it and wished you hadn't said it."

(Y/N): "Yea, I was just angry and in pain I wasn't thinking straight and I just snapped at you all so again I am really sorry." You said giving her a side hug that she happily returned. You both stayed silent for a minute until Ruby sighed and pulled away from the hug. "What's up?"

Ruby: "That song you played when you fought the Taturus, it might sound stupid but it sounded directed at me like you meant for me to listen to it. When it was playing it sort of resonated with me and I was wondering if that was the case?"

(Y/N): "Well, I think me and you are much more similar than we'd admit. We've both lost ones that we love and I think ultimately that's what led us to want to be huntsmen. Sure there are some differences in the backstory but we have the same fundamentals. We want to protect what we have left."

Ruby: "So in a way it was for both of us?"

(Y/N): "You could look at it that way yea."

Ruby: "Well that's pretty cool as well." She smiled but her eyes were failing to hide one more secret.

(Y/N): "Is there something else?" She looked a tiny bit shocked and didn't try to hide it.

Ruby: "How'd you know?"

(Y/N): "Your eyes betray you." She nodded and a frown dawned her face.

Ruby: "Can you tell me why you k-killed those White Fang Members?"

(Y/N): "Ruby..." Thinking for a moment you structured what you were going to say trying not to completely shatter the girl's innocence. "Sometimes we don't get a choice. You know what could've happened if I hadn't? They would still have you or you could've been killed. I couldn't let that happen."

Ruby: "But how does that make killing alright?"

(Y/N): "I never said it made it alright, I said I didn't have a choice. Just because you have to kill someone doesn't mean you want to. I think you'll understand that someday."

Ruby: "I won't kill them I'll find a different way." The sound of her commitment was impressive to say the least.

(Y/N): "You know, I believe you. I truly think you'd try to find another way."

Ruby: "Of course I would!"

(Y/N): "You wanna know why I think that?"

Ruby: "Because I'm special?" She said with a pout.

(Y/N): "No. Because you're much stronger than me."

She laughed and hug tackled you so you were on your back with her next to you. Not bothering to resist, the two of you stayed like that for a time, peaceful and happy.

(Y/N): "Ruby, I lo-" You we're interrupted by a soft snoring coming from the teen next to you. "Are you kidding me?" You whispered amused by her antics.

Slipping yourself from her grip you got off of the bed and pulled the cover over her. Kissing her forehead you walked to the door and turned off the lights.

(Y/N): "Goodnight Ruby."

Closing the door you turned left and started down the corridor intending to go find the others at the common room party.

Noise and music soon filled your ears and you walked into the common room to find people dancing, drinking and chatting. Squeezing past some people by the door you made your way over to what you presumed was the drinks table.
Looking across the sea of people you saw a group dancing by a cheapo set of speakers, some guy trying to chat up a girl and finally you managed to spot a familiar looking redhead over by the window next to the rest of her team. Grabbing a drink, you walked towards them only having to squeeze past people occasionally until you got to them.

(Y/N): "Hey guys." They all turned to look at you and for the first few seconds it was awkward until they smiled at you.

Pyrrha: "So you're alive then?" She laughed.

(Y/N): "Just about." You smiled.

Jaune: "Quick everyone hide your weapons just in case." He said with fake alarm in his tone and actions.

(Y/N): "Who died and made you comedic?"

Ren: "At a guess, you."

(Y/N): "I thought you were the quiet one." You gave him a doubtful look.

Nora: "He changed after you died." She fake sobbed.

(Y/N): "Should I be worried as to how?"

Ren: "I wouldn't worry about it."

Nora: "I would." You all laughed for a bit before it died out and you went a bit solemn.

(Y/N): "Anyway, I came to tell you that I am so sorry for what I said earlier after the battle with the Grimm. None of you needed or deserved what was said, you were just worried about me and I shouldn't have been so rude."

Ren: "Well you apologised and I think that's all that matters."

Jaune: "Yea we're your friends you just have to talk to us, no need I keep it all bottled up inside."

Pyrrha: "We're here for you."

(Y/N): "Thanks you guys. So we're cool?" They all nodded.

Nora: "It's not like we couldn't forgive you, we live in the same dorm so it would just get awkward." Ren indiscreetly elbowed Nora. "Oww, I mean, I would miss your pancakes too much."

(Y/N): "I'll whip up a fresh batch tomorrow." Nora did a little fist pump making you all laugh. "Alright as much as I would love to stay and chat I do have to apologise to Yang, Blake and Weiss so sadly I must leave you."

Jaune: "Alright just don't go on another world saving adventure. I think we've had enough trouble for one day."

Nora: "And don't forget the pancakes!" She pointed accusingly.

(Y/N): "Got it boss." You mocked a salute and walked away from the team only to be joined by Pyrrha a second later. "Something wrong?"

Pyrrha: "It's about Yang, she got a 'tiny' bit drunk off that stuff you've got and, well, she was getting a bit handsy with me and Blake, so Blake dragged Yang out of the party." Her face was as red as Ruby's cape as memories flooded back to her.

(Y/N): "This stuff really?" You drunk a bit of it and had to resist the urge to spit it out, forcing yourself to swallow, you put the cup on a nearby table. "That tastes like cheap beer and piss." You gagged while wiping your mouth on your sleeve.

Pyrrha: "Yea some guy made it but Yang said 'It tastes great after the second cup trrrrry someee' although that was around the time she had finished her second cup so take that as you will." She said doing a surprisingly good Yang impression.

(Y/N): "Alright thanks for the heads up I'll see you at the dorm later." You kissed her cheek before walking off as she smiled and went back to her team.

As you wandered the halls of the academy you were left to wonder where they could have gone. They weren't at the dorm, you had just been there, most other places in the academy would be locked up by now. You continued to roam until you heard a rather familiar laugh. Looking to your side you rolled your eyes, of course it was Blake so the library it would be.

Walking inside you found it to be lit by the shattered moon that cascaded through the windows casting the library in a lovely moonlight. You followed the sound of Yangs laughter through the isles and isles of books until you reached the furthest corner of the large room. There you saw Yang giving you a lovely look at her ass as she leant over the table trying to get Blake's attention who was reading a book.

Yang: "Blakeeeyy, I'm bored."

Blake: "Read a book there are plenty around."

Yang: "But I wanna have fun with you~" She flirted while forcing the book a little lower from Blake's eyesight no doubt giving her a much better view of the blondes bountiful assets.

Blake: "A-as much as I would love to Yang I would rather not feel I'm taking advantage of you while you are in this state." She stuttered with a slight blush.

Yang: "But you do want to~" You decide to step in before things could escalate.

(Y/N): "Me and her both but she's right it would feel as if we'd be taking advantage of you." Both girls turned to face you a little surprised, Yang stopped leaning over the table and sat on the bench instead.

Yang: "(Y/N) you're alive! It's always great when you do that." She laughed giddily.

Blake: "You feeling better now?" She asked putting her book down.

(Y/N): "Much better. But that's not why I'm here. I came to apologise for the way I was acting after the fight, obviously none of you deserved it after fighting off the hordes of Grimm that you did. I was angry and in pain and I hope you can forgive me."

Blake: "Of course. Like you said you were in pain, probably more pain than any of us have ever felt. We have no idea what it's like to feel that way and what it can do to a person. I think in the same situation I wouldn't have acted any differently to you."

Yang: "Yea that. And I blew your head off with a shot-gauntlet to the face so if you wanted to call it even I wouldn't complain."

Blake: "She means she forgives you as she made her own mistakes."

Yang: "Exactly! Blake you're so smart I want to kiss you!" She looked as if she was about to try as well.

(Y/N): "That would be a nice sight." You mused.

Yang: "Hey just because I forgave you doesn't mean you're off the hook! Why'd you bang Neo?"

Blake: "You did what now?" Her attention snapped to you and you felt the penetrating glares pierce you.

(Y/N): "Before we started dating I went out one night and got drunk, that whole night is blurry but when I awoke I was in the same hotel room as her and we could both sort of remember having sex. We then went our separate ways and considering how she tried to kill me again she doesn't think it was that special."

Yang: "Was she your first?"

(Y/N): "No."

Yang: "Can I be your next?"

(Y/N): "Stop that."

Yang: "Never."

(Y/N): "Good." Blake had to suppress a laugh as did you while Yang continued in her stride.

Yang: "I'm sorry, I killed you with my OP punch. As you said it was before we were dating so I definitely overreacted. Can I make it up to you?~"

(Y/N): "Maybe when you're sober." You looked to Blake for some sort of response.

Blake: "As she said we weren't together so I'm not going to get mad. Just if you've had any other crazy people under you can you give us a heads up?"

(Y/N): "Don't worry I will. Oh wait I know one!"

Blake: "Seriously." Her ears dropped much to your amusement.

(Y/N): "Well technically two, a beautiful blonde and a fetching Faunus, they weren't crazy but rather sexy."

Yang leant back over the table letting you ogle her ass for another few moments.

Yang: "I think he's talking about us, I say we take it." She whispered loudly to her partner who could barley contain her amusement.

Blake: "Maybe another time."

Yang: "Aww."

(Y/N): "As much as I would truly love to continue this conversation, truly I would, I only have one person left to apologise to and, well, I was extremely rude to Weiss."

Blake: "I think she went outside for some air just before we left the party. She should still be out there."

(Y/N): "Thank you. I'll see you both another time." You went over and gave Blake a kiss on the cheek and tried to do the same to Yang but she pulled you into a proper kiss. It wasn't that hard to pull out of and you soon left the pair with a wave.

{Le Timeskip brought to you by Chibi Weiss freezing Chibi (Y/N)'s head after he read her diary again.}

Weiss stared out into the starry night. She was sat at the edge of the cliff overlooking the city of Vale at the front of the academy. Her legs swung freely over the massive drop as she sighed into the cold night, her breath was almost visible as the air chilled it. She wasn't bothered by the cold, growing up in Atlas had made sure of that. But on nights like this she was made to remember her home with a sense of nostalgia.

Atlas, how she missed the place. The way the fluffy snow settled onto the streets making fields of white completely undisturbed was beautiful when mixed with a pallet of soft orange that came from the lamps. It would make you want to stay indoors with a cup of hot chocolate and just enjoy the beauty of the place.

Who was she kidding. While Atlas might've had days like that on occasion she was never able to enjoy them due to one person. Her father. Maybe when she was young for a time she could enjoy the sights and wonders Atlas had to offer but the moment her father realised Winter would not be a 'suitable heir' the attention was on her.

Her days of playing in the garden were replaced by whatever his business orientated mind could think of. Singing? She got the best teacher and learnt until she could sing for the SDC charity concerts. Business? Her father taught her the 'tricks of the trade' alongside mountains of homework until she had it ingrained in her head how to undermine her partners and raise the profits.

The man infuriated her. She was never allowed to truly do anything she solely wished. Even her want to learn to fight was controlled by her father who, after learning she had potential, put her through test after test until she had proven herself. In his mind he was raising the perfect heir but she knew better. She would change the company from within and all she had to do was stay on his good side until she took control.

But that was proving difficult as of late. He was constantly hounding her about why she chose Beacon over Atlas and the only reason he was even on her mind that moment was because she had ignored five calls of his in the past week alone.

But he wasn't the only one on her mind that infuriates her. There was also (Y/N). After the fight with the Grimm he had snapped and lost his cool at everyone. He was angry and in pain but the words still stung deep, deeper than they should've. It was only made worse when she showed concern for him by asking why he had wanted Blake's gun.

She was called 'inconsiderate', 'pompous' and 'privileged', all words she had been called before by different people and they had never effected her.

Yet this time they did.

For some reason, that was far beyond her own understanding, his words had cut like knives into her heart and she felt terrible when all she had tried to do was help him and he had the gall to call her such things.

Weiss: "He doesn't know what I've been through!" She yelled into the night before realising what she had done. She quickly looked around herself in a prim posture but relaxed when she saw no one. 'Why do I care about his opinion of me so much...'

She looked up into the fractured moon and sighed again. Ruby had assured her that he hadn't really meant what was said but she couldn't shake the feeling that it could be true. That could be what he genuinely thought about her. And that hurt her.

(Y/N): "Hey Weiss." You said walking up behind the heiress as she stared out into the night. Her immediate reaction was to reach for her absent rapier and face her opponent but upon seeing you she relaxed. "Mind if I join you?"

Weiss: "Go ahead." She said more coldly than she had intended it to be.

You dropped to the floor and shuffled over the edge until your legs were dangling much like Weiss's.

(Y/N): "Thanks." Sighing you looked out into the cold night as you thought of what to say. "Listen, I came here to apologise to you. Everything I said to and about you was completely uncalled for and unjustified. None of you deserved it and you especially didn't deserve to be singled out."

Weiss: "Go on." She said stoically as her mind yelled at her. 'I wanted to forgive him! Why can't I?!'

(Y/N): "After fighting the Grimm I was in a world of pain and wasn't thinking straight. All my bottled up emotions just burst and you were all on the receiving end. I don't mean anything that I said about you all it was just my anger burning out. I don't actually think anything I said about you was true and that's not the opinion I hold of you."

Weiss: "Then what do you think of me?" She asked, turning to look at you with an eyebrow raised. 'I forgive you! Please just let me say it!'

(Y/N): "If you think back to the beginning of the year, when we first met I was indiscriminate in my mocking of you. I classed you as a Schnee, nothing more, nothing less. But then I met the real you. When you lowered the barriers between the Schnee's and us plebeians I could understand who you really were."

Weiss: "And who really am I?" She asked her visage cracking slightly as she truly wanted to know.

(Y/N): "You're a nice, considerate person who truly cares about the people she's with. You're a hard worker and a good friend to have. In the end you're not just a 'Schnee', you're far more. You're Weiss Schnee one of the best people I've met."

Her icy heart melted near instantly, the hurtful words he had said a few hours ago were gone, replaced with these kinder words that made her happier. He though highly of her and she didn't realise how much she had wanted that.

Weiss: "T-that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me." She said while wiping the brimming tears from her eyes.

(Y/N): "Well, it's about time someone started making up for all of the bad things that have been."

Weiss smiled sincerely at you and shuffled a tiny bit closer as you both stared out into the night once again. You soon felt her lean against you and her head rest on your shoulder as you both warmed up together.

Weiss: "Alright, I forgive you... dolt."

Archer: "And volume 2 is done! Boom! Wait a second I swear I've done this before. Jack's about to say does that mean I can write a lemon."

Jack: "Does that mean I can write a lemon? Hey wait a sec."

Archer: "So yeah I have done this before. What happened was when I went to post this and delete a stand-in chapter I accidentally deleted the old version of this so I had to rewrite all of it again it was so infuriating. But it's all been fixed now so back onto what I was saying."

Jack: "So can I write a lemon?"

Archer: "BEGONE THOT. Anyway I wanted to thank you guys for reading this far into the story! Also I need you're help with the end of volume song chapter. Basically if you've got a song that you think represents the volume and it's growth and where the characters are at now just leave it below. You can also leave a little explanation as to why if you so wish."

[Give me your songs.]

Jack: "Well don't forget the thing."

Archer: "Oh yeah. So alongside the end of volume song chapter that's coming out I want to do a Q&A! It can be about me or this story and it will all be in the same chapter. If you want to ask something anonymously just pm me instead."

[Give me your questions.]

Archer: "Anyway thank you guys so much and as always See Ya!"

--------------------

Watts: "He's what?" Disbelief echoed in his voice.

Cinder: "Functionally immortal. That's what all the reports agree on." She stated growing more irritated by the fact she had to repeat it again.

Hazel: "It can't be. All semblances have limits. Even my own." His firm denial was only added to by his flat voice and crossed arms.

Cinder: "Weren't you listening? He was experimented on. It's not a semblance it's a scientific experiment."

Tyrian: "Ohoho you should capture him and bring him to me. I wonder how long he'd want to survive." He cackled and Cinder didn't wish to know what he would do.

The argument would've continued if Salem hadn't raised a hand and spoken with authority.

Salem: "Enough. Cinder, I assume since you delegated it important enough to bring up at such a crucial stage in the plan that you have an idea as to how to deal with it."

Cinder: "Yes my queen. I have collected a sample of his body and intended to give it to Watts to see if he can counter-act the boys immortality." Watts seemed offended at the notion of his potential failure.

Salem: "Show it to me." Shock rippled through them all at the idea this boy was worth of the Queens attention but Cinder dared not defy her.

Cinder looked to Emerald who nervously approached Salem and presented her with a bag, upon unzipping it she pulled out a dismembered arm that had dry blood coating it. She handed the arm over before quickly stepping away and back to Mercury.

All eyes were on Salem as her magic flowed through the body part gleaming information from it and feeding it right back to her. A sinister smile formed on her face as it happened until the magic stopped.

Salem: "Well Cinder, Watts will not need to figure out a counter as all you must do is kill him after collecting the other half of the Maiden power."

Cinder: "But won't he just come back to li-" She was silenced by Salem simply raising her arm.

Salem: "Are you questioning me?"

Cinder: "No Ma'am."

Salem: "Good. You are all dismissed. Return back to your duties as normal and stay true to the plan. Beacons fall counts on you all playing your part."

They all nodded and stood to leave, moving towards the door. Watts, Hazel and Tyrian all left first but just before the trio of Cinder, Emerald and Mercury could Salem spike once again.

Salem: "And Cinder. Do make sure Adam Taurus stays in line after the fiasco that was the train."

Cinder nodded slowly before leaving with her own followers. When the large door finally shunted shut Salems piercing red eyes went back onto the arm she held.

Salem: "It's a shame you have to die (Y/N)... we are so similar."
