Waiting for a certain lilac-haired boy to come out as some students greeted her, Sachiko leaned outside the classroom of Mitsuya. It was currently lunchtime and she wants to spend it with the boy.

The last time she had seen the male was the time that they visited her. Sachiko felt like she's neglecting her best friend. To make up for him, she planned to have lunch somewhere just the two of them. No interruptions.

As the last student exited the room, she peeked her head inside and saw that Mitsuya's cleaning his things. His brows are furrowed, deep in thoughts.

"Hey..." called out the lilac boy. At the sound of Sachiko's voice, Mitsuya instantly snapped away from thinking and turned to face the girl's direction who was wearing sunglasses.

Mitsuya finished up putting his things on the bag and jogged lightly towards the girl. "Let's have lunch together, Ai"

"What are the odds, I was about to say the same thing. Guess I was too slow" Sachiko chuckled as they started to walk side by side through the busy halls of their school.

"How's your date with Sanzu?" Mitsuya asked with bitterness but it was unnoticed by the dense girl. "I hope he took care of you well"

They then turn left, heading towards the rooftop. It was suggested by Mitsuya himself so that they can have a peaceful lunch together.

"Firstly, It wasn't a date. It was a friendly date. And second, he did take care of me" Sachiko replied as the boy opened the door for her.

"It's the same thing" Mitsuya mumbled under his breath.

They were greeted by a sudden breeze that made Sachiko's hair flutter in the air. The sun was also high up as its burning rays covered the whole rooftop but good thing that there was still a shade for them to take a seat.

The beams that the sun was radiating got through the sunglasses that caused the girl to hiss lowly. As soon as they sat down, Sachiko rummaged through her backpack, finding a mask to change the cover of her eyes.

She then closed her eyes underneath and took off the glasses and quickly wore the mask. "Ah, much better..." She sighed in relief and started unpacking her lunch.

Mitsuya who sat in front of Sachiko could only stare at the scene. The light breeze that was brushing made Sachiko shiver a little. When the girl was changing her eye protection, Mitsuya was hoping to at least see a glimpse of her eyes. But, his hope was crushed. Ever since she met Sachiko, the one thing that intrigued him was the mask.

Sure, Sachiko would tell him the reason but it wouldn't feed his interest.

"Is something bothering you?" Mitsuya asked upon seeing how the girl's solace was replaced with a bothered expression. Maybe because he knows Sachiko longer that the slight shift of emotion didn't escape his observant eyes.

Sachiko paused for a moment, deciding whether to tell what's bothering her to the male or not. After debating, she just sigh and started talking. "Ever since what happened that night at the festival, I've been having a series of dreams..." clutching the chopstick tightly and Mitsuya noticed it. " In my dreams, I was always falling to an endless pit of darkness. Different eyes were observing me as I get deeper. They were examining every bit of me and it made my skin crawl in something unexplainable"

Something moved. Sachiko quickly looked around, picking up someone watching her from the distance. Anxiety builds up again to her being as uneasiness radiates visibly from her figure.

"Did you talk about this to your brother?" She returned to face Mitsuya again and shook her head before continuing to eat. Staying calm in every possible way.

"Nii-san's quite busy with school and so are my other guardians. I just feel the need to share my dreams with someone because honestly, it's getting hard carrying it all" There it was again! Something moved from behind but she didn't spare any glance. Mitsuya might get scared and she doesn't want that. Sachiko can guarantee it wasn't a curse that was moving. Rather, something faint that it's even harder to pick up.

"I think you should talk about this to your brother because someone like me can't really understand your dreams, Ai" Mitsuya worriedly stared at Sachiko. "Dark bags are faintly showing under your eyes and I think it's a bad thing if it's affecting your health"

Lowly sighing for the hundredth time, Sachiko nodded and smiled apologetically at the male. Their lunch should be a happy one and not with a heavy atmosphere. Sachiko thinks she ruined it by sharing something that wasn't to be shared in the first place. But, Mitsuya was thinking the opposite.

"I'm sorry, Takashi" hanging her head low. It was getting tiring to keep things to herself. She can feel her existence slowly fading; her cursed energy, draining day by day. Opening up that about sorcerer kind of stuff to anyone would just make her crazy in front of their eyes. Who would believe that there are curses among them; that there is a group of people fighting those creatures.

No one.

Mitsuya instinctively moved over to Sachiko, placing the girl's head on his shoulder. The aura that Sachiko was emitting was unlikely of her. "You don't have to. I'm glad you talk things like this to me even I'm not much of a help. It just means that you trust me enough to share your problems"

Sachiko softly hummed, enjoying the moment with her best friend. It was a nice decision to stay in Japan rather than to be in another country. One of the reasons she didn't accept her brother's proposal in going abroad was because of Mitsuya. The male became one of the reasons why she stayed.

"I will really miss someone like you if I ever leave"

"Will you leave me then?" The question made her think for a while. Will she leave? Will she leave everyone behind?

This will be the question that will haunt her even in death.

"I don't know..."
