(Iida's POV)

'S-she's promised. To another man. I man that she hates.' I felt my eyes start to water.

"Momo, what happened between you and this man. What's his name." I asked trying not to cry.

"H-his name is, is, Shoto Todoroki. He, he was my childhood friend. He grew up with Katsuki and I. When we were five he stopped coming as often. By the time we were ten he stopped coming all together. We wrote letters and everything. Sometimes he would respond. Though that stopped as well. Katsuki and I kept writing to him, and eventually we got a letter back, he said he wanted nothing to do with us. He left us. He was my best friend. Among other things."

"What other things Momo? I need to know everything, please."

"He was my first kiss, my first I guess you could say love, he was my world as a child. And then he left."

"Any man who left you, would be a fool."

"Tenya, I'm sorry. I want to spend my time with you, but that bastard just had to fuck it all up." I felt a deep sinking feeling in my chest.

"Momo, he may have been forced into this as well."

"I don't care. I'll find a way to stop it." Hope. Was it there? Maybe. Maybe just in that moment.

(A/n ok so the events of the scar that happened in the show happened when he was ten in this book. His father started to train him at five, but it was when he was ten that his mother snapped. Todoroki is my new year older than Momo and Bakugo. Hope that helped!)

"Hey Momo!" I heard Katsuki say.

"Yeah?" She said wiping away my tears.

"Your dad set a day for you to go see the bastards. Kirishima and I are coming with you, and foureyes better come to!"

"A-Alright. Come on in Katsuki." She said.

Bakugo walked in and sat down in a chair. Kirishima following and sitting in his lap.

"Kiri, not now."

Kirishima pouted but got the hint and sat on the floor.

"So your father said you have to leave tomorrow. And that you'll meet with them the next day." Kirishima said.

"So soon? Really?" Momo said starting to stress out.

(A/n while I'm writing this sad part, the song 'can't help falling in love with you' the Elvis version. Started to play. Not helping set the mood!)

"Yeah, that bastard king wants you two to get married ASAP, his plan was to have you two married by the end of the week. Luckily your parents got him to extend the wedding date. You guys have one month." Bakugo said with a scowl.

"Momo, please calm down. Maybe if we show that we are together, then King Enji will stop this whole thing." I said trying to calm down Momo.

"That's not gonna happen. Unless some sort of magical thing happens then Enji is not gonna stop." Bakugo said.

"Let's just all go to sleep. I'll either just d-d-deal with him. Or we will stop this s-somehow."

"Alright, Kirishima and I will stay in the room four doors down. Ok?"

"Ok Katsuki."

Bakugo left along with Kirishima and I was preparing to do the same. When I felt a tug on my shirt.

"Tenya, stay the night?"

I felt my face start to burn.

"U-um. Uh. Eh?"

"Sleep in here, with me. Please." She said looking down.

"O-ok." I layed down next to her and felt an inferno of embarrassment.

She faced the wall and I faced the door. After a little bit she rolled over and curled up into me.

"Tenya, I'm so sorry. I love you, but this just had to happen."

"It'll all be ok." I said rolling over and hugging her close. And with that I kissed her forehead and we fell asleep.
