Clouds

"when clouds evaporate, where do they go?"

"what do you want to be when you grow up ? "

the girl shuffled her eyes rapidly - making it more obvious that she was thinking hard to come up with a beautiful response.

"i want to be a cloud" - she smiled as if she owned the whole world for that moment. her blonde bangs visualized such ethereal smile. It would be a prevarication to say that your heart didn't skip a beat in that period.

"why cloud ? " - she looked at you in dissatisfaction. Squinting her round eyes to glare at your question in impatience , she looked more gorgeous than she normally was.

"because it is soft , independent and has a lot of friends." - that legitimate answer made you chuckle. she was totally not pleased with you cracking up on her poetic appearance. but deep inside , she understood it was a laugh of appreciation.

"and most importantly - " she suddenly continued. you looked at her in anticipation of another arrays of her original quotes. instead , you found her staring at you - so deep that you even experienced unexplainable tensions from the glare.

"most importantly , i can see you anytime" she finished what she started. both for the question and for the reality . her peach lips formed a smile that only herself would know the intention behind it

Clouds... We were just like clouds. Drifting apart in the windowless blue sky.. We were so carefree . We were so happy. We were so -

out of the world. etherealy.
But

We forgot that every cloud ends somewhere.

When the blue sky no longer exists.

When the blue sky fails to hold us in

When the wind fails to drift us away

The story of these clouds don't have

a happy ending.

I gasped as I watched the stargusher lilies in my pocket dried and brushed off.
