Today is the day of the race. Jules woke up more exited than yesterday. He can't stop talking about how the race is going to be. He really loves racing. I thought about getting him into karting, but as a mother I'm too scared that something happens to my son.

„Mama, when are we going?" Jules spoke up while I prepared some Pancakes.

„After we ate" I told him, putting his pancakes onto his plate.

„Merci"

„Okay eat and then we can go"

I sat down and ate my pancakes. I can't stop thinking about the encounter with Pierre yesterday. He almost catched up with me. I have to be really careful today. Nobody can recognise me. I'm screwed if someone does.

„Mama eat faster I want to go to the track" he whined

„Calm down I'm almost finished baby" I said taking the last bite

I cleaned the dishes before we got going. We arrived at the track and this time it was even busier than yesterday. People were walking around everywhere and everyone was preparing for the race. Jules and I got in and he directly started to run around.

„Mama can we please look at all the garages before the drivers parade?" Jules asked with his big green eyes

„How could I say no to that face?" I said taking him by hand so I won't lose him.

He was mesmerised by all the cars. We walked by at the Mercedes garage as Jules saw George Russell

„George can we please take a picture, if you don't mind?" He got to him and asked him.

„Sure big boy, what's your name?" George asked

„I'm Jules" he said

„Nice to meet you Jules, I'm George" he said

„I know" Jules giggled and George laughed a bit

I took the picture and thanked George for the picture. He went to the Mercedes Garage as we continued our walk.

„I met two drivers already mama, I hope I'll meet Charles aswell" he said dreamingly.

We saw the rest of the cars and walked onto the track. Jules funnily laid down onto the track. He got up again and we continued to walk along the track a little bit and enjoyed the moment.

„Would you like to eat something for lunch now?" I asked him

„Oui Mama" he said

We started walking back to the main area and that's when he saw him. He only was with his girlfriend and a manager right now.

„Mama, mama, there is Charles" he said excitingly

„Yes I see, let's go to him" I told him. And we started walking towards him

Bonjour Charles, pouvons-nous prendre une photo ensemble ? C'était mon plus grand rêve de vous rencontrer" he said shyly as Charles noticed us.

Bien sûr, petit homme. Quel est ton nom ?" He asked

„I'm Jules" he said

„I love that name, Jules. If I would ever have a son, I would name him Jules. Your parents chose a very good name for you" he said winking at me in the end. He didn't change since I last saw him. He still had the same way of talking. He still looks at people in the most interested way. Even the winking thing didn't change. The stubble beard, everything is still the same.

„Well I was alone to decide the name as the father of him just left me, but I like the name" I said a little too aggressive

„That's sad to hear. How old is he now?" Charles asked as if he doesn't remember me or anything

„I'm 5 now" Jules said again. Charles eyes widened and he thought for a second but then came back to reality

„Okay lets take the photo I have to go to a meeting" he quickly said

I took the picture of them.

„Thank you Charles. I will never forget this" Jules said happily

„It was a pleasure Jules" he said and started walking away.

Jules started jumping out of joy and can't believe what just happened to him.

„Mama I just talked to Charles Leclerc. Can you believe it?" He said in disbelief, as if he was dreaming

„You are the luckiest little boy, baby" I said giving him a high five.

We watched the race after and Charles won. Jules was so happy to see Charles in first place at the first race he was going to.

The day after we flew back to Monaco. There is a three week break between the last and the next race. We're currently visiting my parents.

„So tell us Amélie, how was the Grand Prix?" my parents and sister curiously looked at me

„It was very good. Jules really enjoyed himself. I've never seen him this happy before. He met Pierre Gasly, George Russell and Charles Leclerc" I told them

„Hold on, he met Charles?" ,Relia said shocked ,"did you tell him?"

„Of course not, how could I? He didn't even recognise me, even though he thought about it for a second" I said fast

„He thought about it?" My mother said

„Well I said that the father of him left before I could tell him and after he asked how old Jules is and Jules answered him 5" I told them

„You cant keep going on like that, Amélie. Jules needs his father and Charles has a right to know about his son. You can't just keep away a father from his child" my mother said strictly

„I know, but I just can't think about letting Charles back into my life. All the feelings will comeback. The betrayal I felt when he just left without saying anything. What if it happens again? There is a child now. Imagine how broken Jules would be when his father leaves" I told them honestly

„You said it yourself, there is a child now. He won't leave his own son. He didn't even knew about him before he left you. If you cant do it for yourself, then do it for Jules. He needs his father" my mother said again

„Enough talking about that, I want to see the picture of them both" my father said cutting my mother and me off

I took out my phone and showed them the picture. They gasped and their jaws drop.

„They look like twins" my sister just said

„It's unbelievable how much they look alike. Its a wonder that nobody noticed" my mother said
