"Hey, babe." Maddy says hugging me.

"You stopped calling me auntie." I say.

"It's weird to call you my aunt now that we're dating." Maddy says.

I laugh and Maddy smiles.

"What are you doing after school?" Maddy asks.

"Uh, I gotta go to my uncle's house. I'm free after though." I say.

"There's a party and I want you to go with me." Maddy says.

"Yeah, okay, just text me." I say as the bell rings.

Maddy smiles and kisses me. I smile and walk away.

"Y/n, right?" Someone asks.

"Yeah." I say.

"I'm Lexi, Cassie's sister." They say.

"Oh, hey." I say.

"I know you've been talking to Rue. Do you know if she's on drugs still? I'm worried about her." Lexi says.

"She hasn't told me but I'm gonna say yes." I say.

"Can you keep an eye on her?" Lexi asks.

"I'm already doing that." I say.

Lexi smiles and I walk away.

Time Skip

I go in Chris' office and sit down. Chris doesn't say anything and I gulp.

"I might have to take you off this case." Chris says.

"What?" I ask.

"You have been at east Highland for 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks, you haven't be able to identify a single suspect, you've taken drugs, and you've started some kind of romance with a student." Chris says.

"How do you know about—" I ask.

"I know everything Y/l/n." Chris says.

"You have 3 days to bring me back some information or I'm taking you off the case and giving it to a rookie." Chris says.

"Yes, sir." I say.

Chris sighs and I get up. I walk down the hall and go into Max's office.

"Hey, Y/l/n." Max says.

"Can you put a listening device on a phone so I can hear everyone's conversations?" I ask.

"Yeah, but I have to have the phone in hand." Max says.

"Can you come to this party with me and do it while they aren't looking?" I ask.

"Yeah." Max says.

"Cool." I say.

Time Skip

"So you guys are dating now?" Rue asks.

"Yeah." Maddy says.

Max bumps into Rue and she turns around.

"I'm so sorry." Max says as I carefully take Rue's phone out of her pocket.

"It's cool." Rue says.

"I gotta use the bathroom." I say.

Maddy nods and I go to the bathroom. Max follows me inside and I close the door.

"Be quick." I say handing Max Rue's phone.

"So this is gonna give you access to the calls and the phone's location." Max says plugging a cord into the phone.

There's knock on the door and I widen my eyes.

"Get in the tub." I whisper yell.

"One second." I say as Max lays in the tub.

I close the curtain and open the bathroom door.

"I knew you didn't have to use the bathroom." Maddy says.

"What?" I ask.

Maddy kisses me and I smile.

"You don't wanna wait?" I ask as Maddy kisses my neck.

"Wait for what?" Maddy asks.

"Do you really want the first time we have sex together to be in a bathroom at a party?" I ask.

"I don't care but I guess you have standards." Maddy says.

I laugh and she smiles. She kisses me and walks out.

Max gags and I roll my eyes.

"Is she a minor?" Max asks opening the curtain.

"She'll be 19 in January." I say.

"Good because I wouldn't want to arrest you." Max says.

"Max stop being delusional, you work in tech." I say.

I hear a beep and he hands Rue's phone to me.

"Thank you." I say.

I walk out of the bathroom and find Rue.

"Is this your phone? I found it in the hallway." I say.

"Yeah, thanks." Rue says as I hand the phone to her.

Time Skip

"What do you got for me?" Chris asks.

"I got Gonzales to install a program on Rue's phone to listen to her conversations and track her." I say.

"I heard her talk to someone about drugs and how she really needs them. She said it mumbling but it sounded like Fez." I say.

"Great, get me a location and we'll talk." Chris says.

"Yes sir." I say.

I walk out and my phone rings.

"Hey." I say answering my phone.

"Can I stay at your place for a few nights?" Maddy asks.

"Yeah, you at home right now?" I ask.

"Yeah." Maddy says.

"I'll come get you." I say.

"Okay." Maddy says before hanging up.

Time Skip

"Hi Maddy." Mom says.

"Hey, Mrs Y/l/n." Maddy says.

"Please call me Alice, it makes me feel less old." Mom says.

"You look younger than her." Maddy says.

I roll my eyes and they laugh. We go upstairs and into my room.

"Why'd you want to stay here?" I ask.

"My parents hate each other and I cannot take the shouting any longer." Maddy says.

"Damn, I'm sorry." I say.

"It doesn't matter because I have you." Maddy says.

I smile and Maddy hugs me.

"I love you." Maddy says.

"I love you too." I say.

She smiles and I kiss her forehead.
