You and Hawks arrive at The Nest, it was still pretty early, so nobody had arrived yet. Hawks opens the door, waiting for you to go inside first before following in your stead. It was weird, seeing the building empty. It was almost creepy to you, it sent a shiver down your spine. "Yeah, this place has a completely different vibe when it is empty, but it should liven up soon enough." Hawks says, walking ahead, you following suit. "Since we got a while before work starts, let's chat in my office. We can get to know eachother a bit." He says, looking back at you with a grin. You just nod, following Hawks to his office. He sits on a small couch, patting the spot next to him, signaling for you to sit with him. You mod, sitting down in the spot beside him. "So, (Y/N), tell me a bit about yourself." Hawks says, resting his arm on the back of the sofa. "Well..."

You rush out the door, your feet splashing against the street as you step into the puddles that were scattered about. You run to the hospital, out of breath by the time you get to the front desk. "What room is Aki (L/N) in?!" You yell, gasping for air. "Room 705, miss. But it isn't visit-" You run off, not letting the man finish as you hurry towards the elevator, rapidly clicking the button to take you up to the 7th floor. You were too impatient to wait for the elevator, however, so you opt for the stairs. You hurry up the stairs and to the hospital room where you found your older sister, Aki, laying in the bed. "Aki!" you yell, your eyes full of tears and you stumble over to the bed. "Hey, (Y/N)..." Your sister groans, sitting a bit upright. Her face had bandages adorning it, and was bruised. Her arms were alsi covered in bandages and bruises. "Wha-What happened?!?" You question. "It was just a car crash, dear... I am ok." She says. "JUST a car crash? Don't lie to me! I SAW the news!" You say. "You knew what you were getting into, Aki! You KNEW who you were going up against! Why the hell would you go and fight off such a high class villain?" You question, your voice raising.

Aki simply smiles, before responding with "What have I said about that language, young lady." This only get you more frustrated. "You could have died, Aki! The doctors don't even suspect that you're gonna be able to survive in this condition! What will I do if I lose you?" You say. "Calm down, (Y/N), I am not gonna leave you..." Aki says.

"Sadly, she didn't survive. I refused to go to foster care and somehow managed to scavenge enough money to get into college." You say. "I majored in psychology. And then I graduated, and now I'm here." You say. Your hands were on your knees and you were hunched over, hiding your face, which had tears streaming down it for a while now. Hawks had a hand on your back, he was rubbing it. It was a comforting feeling to you. Wiping your eyes, you sit up, putting a fake smile on your face, and turn to look at Hawks. "What about you?" You ask. Hawks sits back before explaining his story. The two of you had sat the for a while, just talking.

"Well, this was a nice chat, Kid. But, we both gotta get to work." Hawks says, standing up. "I'll see ya later, Kid." He says, leading you out his office and to your desk. He waves as he walks off, leaving you alone for a little while while you waited for the man who was training you to come for the start of his shift. To pass time, you read through file detailing about a petty crime. Hawks' smaller victories weren't publicized nearly as much as his major ones, so this file contained an unfamiliar case to you. You read about it intently, your whole focus on the piece of paper.

"Hey (Y/N)" The man who you had known as Hiroshi says as he walks into the cubicle, sitting down at the desk adjacent to yours. "You're here early." He says, leaning back in his seat. You nod. "Hawks wanted to talk to me about something. So, I came early." You say, trying not to deter your focus from the file you were reading. "Right. Well, some of us are going to go out and have a few drinks tonight, if you wanna come." Hiroshi says. "I'm good.. I don't normally drink." You say in response. To that, Hiroshi gives a small hum. "Well, if you change your mind, just come with me after work's up." He says, starting on his work.
