You sit on the couch, scrolling through your phone while you wait for laundry to finish. Gawks had insisted that you stayed until you had a clean set of clothes, and considering that the walk home was quite far, you had no choice but to oblige. While going through your photos, you had found a few pics from the night before. Some were of skyline views from the flight to Hawks' place, others were while you two were still at the bar, those were the embarrassing ones. In a few photos, you could be seen throwing yourself all over the winged man, some of them he was even pushing you off of him. You let out a frustrated groan, leaning back so that your head rested on the back of the sofa and you were staring at the ceiling. What the hell were you thinking, throwing yourself at Hawks like that? Your eyebrows furrow. "Idiot.." You mutter.

"What was that?" Hawks says, placing your folded clothes on the coffee table. "O-Oh it was nothing... I was just- talking to myself..." You reply, sitting upright so that you were looking at him. He sighs, sitting down next to you. "You don't have to be so shy around me, (Y/N).. The only time that you've opened up to me was last night, when you were drunk." He says, giving you a serious expression. You simply just sink back in your seat, twiddling your thumbs. "I've noticed that you are a pretty anxious person, too. I am not trying to put you down for it, not in the slightest. But, I do want to help you out with that problem of yours." He says, his expression softening a bit. "Help?" You question. Yeah, you bad social issues, but you were managing just fine up til now. So, the thought of getting help for managing them never really crossed your mind. He nods. "Yeah, maybe get you to be more open. At the very least, make you less anxious when talking to people." He says, sitting back. "But, I can't help you unless you want it." You look at him, a blank expression on your face as you think over what he said. "Though, I doubt that you can do much, I suppose I'll let you." You finally respond after a minute of thinking over your response. To this, he smiles. "Great, now, where do you live? I need to get you home." You nod, standing up and grabbing your clothes, going to the other room to change. That's when Hawks stops you, grabbing your arm. "You can give those back to me later." He says, tugging lightly on the sleeve of the tshirt you were wearing. You just swallow the ball in your throat and nod.

Hawks shoots up into the air, holding you securely against him. Despite his safe grip on you, you have your hands clinging tightly to his shift as you watch fearfully as the world flashes past you. Your hair would occasionally fall into your face from the force of the wind, but later be blown out of it. "Hey, Kid," Hawks says, glancing down at you. "You can loosen up your grip on me a bit! I won't drop ya!" He says. You start to shake your head at first, but quickly stop yourself and hesitantly start to lessen your hold on Hawks. You close your eyes, trying to relax. When you couldn't see that you were so high up in the air, the flight was actually quite comforting. You let out a long sigh, allowing yourself to relax.

"Kid, look at that!" Hawks says, causing you to open your eyes. You stare at the horizon, watching the sunset. It was beautiful, one of the most mesmerizing things you'd ever seen. While you stared at the beautiful dusty scene, Hawks was watching your face as it fills itself with wonder. "We might be out long enough to get a good view of the stars. We still have about 20 minutes til we get to your place." He says, slowing down a bit. You just nod, leaning a bit so that your head was resting against Hawks. He simply hums a bit in response.

The night sky was beautiful you had never seen the stars this close and they were even better than you had imagined. It felt like if you'd just reached out, you could touch the moon. However, you knew that was impossible so you didn't try. "You know, Kid, my first flight at night went a lot like this. Well, excluding the girl in my arms." Hawks says, breaking the silence. You look up at him, cocking an eyebrow as if to say "Really?" and to that, he nods. "The sky was really such a distraction to me at first, seeing everything so close to me. But, now it is just another view." He says.

Hawks lands right outside of your apartment building, placing you down once he touches ground. "Alright, Kid. I'll see you Monday. You have my number, so call me if you need me, or just want to go for another fly." Hawks says, fluffing his feathers and stretching your wings. You nod before he waves goodbye and flies off, leaving you watching as he leaves, disappearing into the night.

A/N: Sorry for such a... cheesy chapter. This was more of a comfort chapter for me since I had a tough day and this is personally one of the things that I'd do if I ever even had the chance to meet Hawks πŸ‘πŸ‘„πŸ‘

Also, the picture I have linked was a vv simple edit that I made and thought y'all would enjoy.
