I don't know what possessed me to ask J this question, but I did. "Hey J," I said turning to him as we sat on the couch " do any of the other rogues know what happened? "  He glanced at me, "A couple." He said with a hint of sadness in his voice. " Who knows about it? " J thought for a moment, "Harley, Nygma, and Crane." Only three, good. If any others knew, it would be a bit of a problem. " Are any of them out of Arkham? " He nodded reaching into his pocket and taking out his phone. "All three have been texting me," he said " they have been very comforting. " Nodding to him, I thought to myself. "Why don't you invite them over?" J looked at me like I have a third eye. " Don't worry babe, " I told him "it would be good for you. They are your friends, they care." He was hesitant for a bit, but nodded and started texting.

There was a knock at the door at about 3:00. Alfred opened the door to let them in. "Welcome gentleman, lady." Alfred greeted, moving aside to let them in. I approached them and smiled. " Thank you all for coming, " I said "I assume you all know the situation of why Joker is here?" All of them nodded. "Mistah Wayne," Harley said "I just wanted to say thanks. He's like a big brother to me." They all looked kind of worried, plus none of  them were in their usual getup. Giving them a warm smile, I gesture them to follow me to the living room. J was sitting on the couch patiently waiting. Harley was the first one to get to him, she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest. J rested his head on top of hers, wrapping his arms tightly around her. Riddler and scarecrow now approach him, pulling him into a group hug. I heard Harley sobbing slightly. Soon they broke apart and say down on the couch. "If I had only been there," Riddler said sadly " that guy would not be walking. " Everyone was silent for a bit till Riddler broke the silence. "Well on the bright side, Jon and I are dating now." He reached over and took Jon's hand. J looked over at the two of them. " Finally, " he said with a smile "I thought you two would never do it!" Then he looked over at Harley with a grin " So how's everything going with you and Ivy? " Harley have a smile then held her thumbs up. "She's so good to me, her and I are two peas in a pod." J nodded and kissed her cheek " Anything for my little sis. " He said ruffling up her hair. "What about you J," Jon said " I haven't seen you in a while, have you found someone yet? "

J went totally red and glanced at me before looking at the floor. They looked at him, and Ed seemed to put two and two together. "Wait," he said with a smug grin " you two are a thing now? " J looked up at me which made me chuckle, "Yes we are." That made J smile and his blush got worse. " Oh J, " Jon said "you got it bad for him don't you?" Harley turned his face toward her "I'm so happy for you puddin!" I walked into the kitchen to see Alfred. " Hey Al, " I said with a smile "can we get some hot cocoa please?" He only nodded and replied with a yes sir. 

when I got back to the living room, the entire atmosphere changed. Everyone was quiet, Jon had his head in his hands, Ed was rubbing calming circles on his back. Harley was sitting on the floor with her head on Jon's lap and J was next to her holding his hand. "What happened, I was gone for twenty seconds? " I asked kneeling down next to J. "Jon had a mini panic attack, nothing too big." J got up and pulled me out of the room. " Listen Bruce, " he said seriously "Jon didn't have a great childhood. His grandmother tormented him, beat him and locked him in the barn for hours." What I was hearing made my heart clench, it was terrible. " Ed was severely abused by his drunk father all the time, he always thought Ed would cheat at his games. " I had always suspected something was off with those two, they would sometimes flinch when I yelled or made movements too quick. It was upsetting to think about, but I pulled out of it. We went back and everyone was drinking their cocoa. "Hey Jon," I said " you ok? " He took a deep breath and grabbed Ed's hand, "yeah." 

* time skip* 

After everyone finished their drinks, Ed, Jon and Harley left. Not without giving J a group hug. J took my hand, dragging me back to the couch. "Thanks babe." He said with a sigh, laying his head on my chest . Smiling at him I wrapped my arms around his waist. Soon we both fell asleep.
