🌧Appleradio Week: Angst/Comfort☁️

It happened all the time, it's happened so much Lucifer had started counting how many years would go by before it happened again, yet no matter how many times it's happened now, it terrorized Lucifer to his very core. Dark crimson coated his white suit as he clutched his beloved deers corpse, the radio demon having died in his arms long ago, and many times before. So many lives Alastor had lead, yet no matter how many lives went by the story-and the man-always seemed to be the same. A boy, sweet and innocent and pure, attached to his mother, the only one to know the torture his father puts them through at home. He snaps when his mother is killed, becoming a cannibal and serial killer, his mind broken beyond possible repair, and always smiling. He dies and falls to hell, claims power the day he falls into hell, and within due time, him and Lucifer become a couple until he dies again. Rinse, repeat, it happens again and again. No matter how many times it happens, the result is always the same, hell's king being left crying over Alastor's corpse.

The only mercy he could find in this eternal cycle, was that everyone's memories of Alastor was always erased, everyone but his own. It was a small mercy, admittedly, but it was a form of mercy nonetheless, there was no pity or mockery to be thrown at him. Still, it tore him apart to know that no matter what he did or how hard he tried, Alastor would end up dying over and over again, and he would come back just to steal his heart. Lucifer sighed as he carried the corpse inside with him, knowing fully well that the body would turn to ashes by the time he woke up in the morning to make room for the new Alastor that was to come. He placed the corpse in the coffin he had set up centuries ago to hold Alastor's body for the first time, Lucifer sighed and placed the body down in the open casket, placing a kiss on his forehead. He sighs as tears drip down his face and land down on his soulmates face, "my apologies my sweet darling" Lucifer whispers softly, wiping the tears from Alastor's face cold and dead face. His heart ached as he looked at his darling husband, their wedding rings having been reserved so many times Lucifer forgot how many times he'd placed the golden rings with beautiful ruby's engraved back in that little black cushioned box.

He walked out and closed the door to the room he always kept locked, Charlie used to ask him all the time what the room was for as a child, but he always told her that it was a secret room that she wouldn't understand the purpose of even if she were to see inside. He collapsed onto his bed as he hugged the pillow Alastor used to lay on so closely to his chest, he let himself begin to sob as everything came crashing down on him once again, until he finally fell asleep from exhaustion. He felt cold not having woken up to the radio demon's body cuddled up next to him for the first time in decades, he felt hollow pulling himself up out of bed and getting dressed for the day. He sighed as he noticed the bags already starting to form under his eyes, nothing about his changes in appearance surprised him anymore, the bags always came back and he also found more broken heart markings on some part of his body.

He ate his breakfast alone for the first time since Alastor's last death so many centuries ago, he felt empty as a depression settled in once again to claim his break heart. Once breakfast was done, he returned to the room which Alastor's body was left inside, opening the casket with his gloved hands, expecting to find the ashes of his deceased lover. A gasp escaped his lips and his eyes widened in shock as he saw-not a pile of ash-but instead his darling Alastor's body, the faintest bit of breathing coming from him and his chest rising and falling ever so slightly. Lucifer nearly choked on his own saliva as he gazed upon his husband's body, he picked up the other and quickly ran back into his room to lay Alastor down on their shared bed with tears flowing down his cheeks. "Don't worry my darling, I won't let you slip me by this time" Lucifer whispers to his beloved deer, stroking the crimson locks in between his fingers gently. He sighs in content as he caressed the pale grey cheek of Alastor, taking comfort in the small yet light breaths coming from the other he loved so much.

From up in Heaven, God smiled down at his fallen son, his many eyes focused upon Lucifer as the fallen angel took care of his lover for week before crying out in joy as the demon finally awoke. God chuckles at the display of his most troubled child finding so much love for someone other than himself, "well done my son, you have truly learned what it means to love another soul" God spoke from the Heaven's above, yet Lucifer could still hear his fathers voice. Lucifer looked at the deer demon he held tightly in his arms now thanks to the entity that sent him to Hell in the first place, and yet maybe it was a blessing in disguise, after all, it lead him to being with Alastor. Lucifer smiles softly as he wrapped an arm around Lucifer while his free hand pet the deers ears. "Thank you father..." Lucifer whispers softly, thankful for everything his father had done now, from bringing his beloved Alastor back to him, to sending him to hell in the first place. Perhaps no good deed goes unpunished, but no bad deed goes unrewarded.
