Chapter Twenty Nine

Song: Confident by Demi Lovado

Y/n's POV

"Ugh Y/n!" Gwen growled. "You're getting in my way!"

"What?" I snapped. "How? If anything you're getting in my way!"

"I am not!" She protested. She put her hand on her chest, acting offended.

"Guys!" Sasha yelled. "That's enough. You're supposed to work together as a team." Gwen rolled her eyes.

It was (sorta) our second day at the camp. It was about six in the morning, the sun just starting to rise. The grass of the field we were in was still sprinkled with dew drops. The fresh air filled my lungs, making me quite energized despite it being so early.

At the training, we were able to experience the three others' powers. Roman, (the meif'wa) had the power to summon and control ice, snow, and wind. Emma, the human, was able to change her size, shape, and strength. And Gwen, able to summon and control fire. Perfect for her annoying, fiery attitude and hair.
(A/n: very original power right there)

"Alright. You all can take a break for a few minutes." Sasha started to head back to the camp with Dante. "I'll grab waters and send Gene and Blaze to keep an eye on all of you."

"Don't use your powers while we're gone!" Dante instructed. Then they were no longer visible. I heard Vlad sneeze for like the fifth time.

"You alright?" Hazel asked him.

"I think that cold is starting to get to me again." He shrugged and sat down on a stump.

"I'm starting to think it's more than a cold." Garroth said with a look of concern.

"It's probably just an excuse for not being able to use his power correctly." Gwen said like the snob she is.

"What did you say!?" Garroth gave her a death glare, stepping closer to her in the process to look more intimidating.

"You heard me." She stuck up her nose. Roman rolled his eyes and walked over to Gwen. He put his hand on her shoulder and pulled her back, away from the blonde.

"Gwen, give them a break." He said calmly, keeping his chill. Hehehehe I hate my life.

"If anything I think Vlad is better with his power than you." Zane said not bothering to look at Gwen. He kept is his eyes on the grass he was fiddling with.

Gwen slowly turned to face Zane. The look on her face was not pleasing.

"You're asking for it Hot Topic," She sneered. Zane gave her a blank expression.

"What an original come back. Haven't heard that one before." He then went back to playing with the grass. Cameron chuckled next to me. Gwen growled at him in annoyance.

"I'm surrounded by idiots," She held the bridge of her nose and tightly closed her eyes.
(A/n: anybody get that reference)

"Rude." Emma acted offended. Emma was a comedic person. From what I had seen she would purposely act over dramatic, but in a funny way, making everyone laugh.

Gene and Blaze emerged from the wood, coming from the camp. I couldn't help but to smile at Blaze and his aloof expression. I could tell he was tired but that didn't break his happy attitude. Him and Gene held cases of plastic water bottles.

"Here's the water." Gene said as he and Blaze set down the waters on the ground and started to break them out of the package. Everyone gathered around to retrieve a water. Gwen took hers from Blaze and gave him a flirty smirk. I felt jealousy start to kick in. I ignored it for the time being. Blaze gave me a big smile and handed me a water bottle.

"Morning beautiful," He flirted, quietly enough for just me to hear. Heat rose to my cheeks. I sometimes almost forget we're dating now.

"Morning," I giggled like an idiot. I stayed with Blaze since everyone got their waters.

"Having fun training?" He questioned. My smile started to fade.

"It could be better," I glared at the back of Gwen's head.

"Is someone giving you trouble? Do I need to beat them up!?" Blaze's ears perked up defensively.

"Yes and no. Unfortunately you're not allowed to beat them up," I said, shaking my head, the smile returning once again.

"Damn....It's been awhile since I've had a good fight." He said disappointed, his ears slightly starting to droop.

I laughed. "If your looking for a god fight, challenge Emma to an arm wrestling fight." Blaze crinkled his nose.

"But she's a girl!" He protested.

"Hey!" I playfully punched his arm. "What's wrong with girls."

"Nothing! Girls are great." He quickly corrected himself.

"Yeah don't forget I beat you in getting those Pringles." I teased, knowing that's not what actually happened.

"What? No no no no no if I remember correctly, I believed we tied." He corrected.

"Yeah maybe, but you still didn't beat me." I remarked.

"Yeah but I didn't lose either." A smirk was plastered on his face. I shook my head and rolled my eyes.

"Whatever."
