Y/n POV

Hazel Catrine....

That name rang through my head over and over again. It just sounded so familiar.

"Y/n" a distant voice said. "Y/n" it said, closer this time.

"Snap out of it!" Zane's annoyed voice snapped me back to reality.

"Sorry what were we talking about?" I asked.

"A plan. We were discussing a plan." Cameron raised an eyebrow. "You okay?"

"I'm fine. I just zoned out I guess." I answered.

I remembered I had told them everything about my mom, the powers and the agents.

"So as we were saying," Vlad continued "We should obviously keep this all a secret. Then when we find the last one, we continue to act as if we know nothing about this and get into one place like they want."

"Then when they try to attack us, we use our powers to get rid of them." Cameron said.

"All but one, Stella Armadillo, so we can find my mom." I interrupted.

"Correct and then we expose them and get the ones that are alive in jail where they belong." Cameron finished.

Garroth and Zane nodded.

"In the mean time, we should probably practice getting our powers at full strength and control." Garroth suggested.

"Yes, but we can't let them see that." Zane stepped in.

"Seems easy enough." Cameron shrugged.

Too easy...

We were all thinking it. Just nobody said anything.

"This should be where we meet." I said.

We were hiding in the thickest part of the park's mini forest at a little clearing. It was right in the middle and was easy to find if you were lucky enough. We were lucky enough.

We all agreed and decided it would be best not to talk about any of this at school the next day so no one would over hear.

The only place that would be safe to talk about this was the thicket.

That's what we called our place of hiding.

Blaze POV

I didn't hear anything from Y/n after our meet up that Sunday.

So I ignored it, I went to school Monday like any normal day.

I got to school and saw Y/n hanging out with four boys. Two I recognized. Cameron and Garroth.

"Hey!" I greeted.

"Hello Blaze!" Y/n smiled.

"What you guys doing?" I asked.

"Just uh hanging out..." A boy with dark brown hair and green eyes answered. "I'm Vlad Ro'Meave by the way!"

"Blaze!" I waved.

"That over there is Zane and Garroth my older brothers and that's Cameron!" He introduced them to me.

"Yeah, I know Cam and Garrthy bro." I informed.

"Who doesn't know Garroth." Scarf dude said rolling his eyes...eye.

Y/n chuckled a little.

Brrriiiiing!!!

The bell rang informing us to get to class. So me, Y/n, and Cam headed to werewolf class.

Instead of seeing Mr. Gavin, a new teacher was in his place.

"Hello students! I am taking over for Mr. Gavin for a few uh months." She greeted. "I am Miss Ruby Linz! Please call me Miss Linz."

I turned to Y/n to see her wide eyed. She then turned and said something to Cameron who's eyes also went wide. They both went silent when Miss Linz looked at them.

Y/n looked scared to death. I put my hand on her shoulder causing her to jump.

"Hey...you ok?" I asked her.

"I-I'm fine. Let's just pay attention to the class." She instructed.

Surprised, I turned back to face the front of the room.

The whole day Y/n was acting weird. I decided to confront her about it.

I pulled her aside after school while we were at her locker.

"Hey are you ok? You seem...different. Is this about your mom?" I asked.

"N-no I'm fine! And uh as for my mom it really i-is her." She choked out. "I should be going. Bye Blaze. I'll try to text you later." She waved and left me alone. She never did text me that night.

Cameron POV

What Y/n had told me stayed in my head all day.

The thicket after school. Tell the Ro'Meave brothers. It's an emergency.

She immediately stopped when we saw the new teacher look in our direction.

I ran for the front of the school but froze when I saw her talking to Blaze.

"Hey are you ok? You seem...different. Is this about your mom?" Blaze asked.

He knew....

"N-no I'm fine! And uh as for my mom it really i-is her." She stuttered. "I should be going. Bye Blaze. I'll try to text you later." She waved and left.

I waited for Blaze to leave until I went to catch up with Y/n.

She already broke a rule we made.

She told someone.

"Y/n! Wait up!" I called after her.

She turned and waved at me.

"Hey!" She greeted.

"We need to talk..." I started.

"About?"

"How does Blaze know about your mom?" I asked seriously.

She went wide eyed. "Oh no...you thought I. Before I knew about the agent stuff, we talked about it." She confessed.

She explained everything. I still wasn't sure I could completely trust her. I was sure she would tell Blaze sooner or later.

"Well well well! Fancy seeing you Cameron!" A voice interrupted my thoughts. 

"Gene....." I mumbled.

"Long time no see...uh oh! Look who it!It's none other than the pup herself!" He said turning his attention to
Y/n

"I believe you are going to be leaving." I said. 

"Yes well I believe you are going to let me talk to the...'puppy' over here." He said sternly.

"I thought I told you and Ein to stop calling me that." Y/n growled, putting her ears back.

"Hmmm you must think you have that much power over us don't you?" Gene taunted.

The way he said power scared me.

Y/n stayed quiet.

"You must feel so.....special perhaps." He continued.

"W-what are you inferring..." Y/n asked.

Gene laughed.

"I know. I know everything..." Gene laughed, walking away behind us.

Y/n looked at me with a horrified face.

"What if he knows about...." She trailed off.

"I-I don't think so. I think he's messing with us." I answered.

"Maybe. Let's just get to the thicket. They're probably waiting for us." She said, referring to the brothers.
