Y/n POV
I ran to (restaurant) while I waited for Blaze to pick up the call.

"Hello?" Blaze's voice was heard from my phone.

"Blaze! Emergency. Code red. Meet me at (restaurant) ASAP!" I screamed into the phone.

"Code red? Wha-?" Blaze started to ask.

"JUST....Meet me there." I said as I slowed to a speed walk, passing through the park.

I decided to cut though the same trees where I met Garroth and Laurence to get to the restaurant quicker.

I continued walking in the shaded area and every once and a while kick a few pebbles. I hummed (song) to make myself feel a little less lonely. I couldn't help but get the feeling I was being watched.....

A noise was heard from behind a tree snapping me back into reality. I stared at the tree froze and scared to death. I heard another noise at a tree right next to me when I booked it. I did not feel like dealing with big foot.

I continued to run full speed until I ran into some guy.

"Watch it!" The boy yelled

"Zane! Is that anyway to talk to a strang- oh hey Y/n" Garroth greeted.

"Oh hey...and uh sorry... Um?" I started, out of breath.

"Zane..." The boy sighed.

"What are you doing here?" I asked them.

"We were just hanging out. You know three brothers having some bonding time." Garroth said sounding a bit sarcastic.

"Uh you sure you can count?" I said smirking and placing my hand in my hip, trying to catch my breath.

"Oh Vlad is in the trees over there." He said pointing to where I just came from.

I looked over my shoulder to see a brown haired boy with bright emerald green eyes.

"Heyo!" He said brushing leaves out of his hair and holding a frisbee in the other. "Sorry I scared you."

"It's all good." I said giving him a small smile.

"No wonder you ran out of there like a maniac." Zane mumbled.

"I heard that..." I said twitching my a/c ears. Zane rolled his eyes in response.

"Well we should be going. Mom will want us home soon to help with breakfast." Garroth said. 
That left me to wonder why they were out so early.

They left leaving me to be by myself.

I continued my walk to (restaurant) to find Blaze heading in the same direction.

Blaze POV

"So let me get this straight" I stared, taking a sip of my Coke. "You don't think that your mom isn't your mom."

"Yes....I know it sounds stupid but...uhg she's just acting weird." Y/n said slouching in her seat.

We sat in silence at (restaurant) for a while.

"Maybe it's not so crazy as it sounds." I said, tossing my empty cup behind me into the garage can. "I mean is there anything else different other than her drinking, smoking, and attitude?" I asked.

"Well I feel like....wait." Y/n eyes lit up as she quickly took out her phone, rapidly tapping the screen. "Look."
She shoved her phone in my face to show a picture of her and her mother.

"Yeah so....." I stared confused at the phone.

"Her eyes!" She said like it was obvious.
"In the picture her eyes are blue. And now they're brown......" She trailed off as she put her face in her hands. "That's not my mother...."
