Iida - I'm glad that wasn't goodbye

Bit angsty in the beginning but it gets better. Has a happy ending cuz I'm a sucker for fluff.

The song just goes well.

Please leave comments I'm so goddamn lonely.

Iida kept his head low as he walked down the streets. His helmet partially restricted his view, causing him to crane his neck for a better sight. He walked towards a rather peaceful area.

It was a small park that he remembered from his youth. He sat down on a bench removing his helmet.

He ran a calloused hand through his hair in an attempt to calm himself down.

~Flashback~

"Romeo oh Romeo where art though Romeo!" The small girl screamed at the blue haired boy, her giggles soon following.

She slid down the slide, landing next to the boy and tackling him in a hug.

"L/n!"

"Tenya, I told you to call me Y/n!"

She gave a bright smile pulling him to his feet.

"Let's go over to the swings!" She suggested, dragging him with her immense strength.

She didn't even have a quirk yet.

And she never would.

~End of Flashback~

Iida watched with a small smile as the kids played, much like he had when he was younger.

He contemplated bringing his daughter here to walk, she was a teenager and would most likely not enjoy sliding down a child's play-toy. She was very resembling of him, with a different personality.

She had chin length blue hair and terrible eyesight. Her quirk was also very similar, in the fact that she was fast. However, she did not have engines on her legs.

Her quirk was complicated. She could move very quickly, faster than the human eye, but it wasn't quite teleportation.

There were many things he loved about her, her personality that was quite similar to her mothers, her way of pouting, she was the light of his life after her mother was kidnapped. They had named her Miracle, after becoming the light of their life.

Y/n, was kidnapped when her daughter was only six. After three months, she was presumed dead.

He was one of the last few people to have a child in his previous class.

Momo and Jiro being the first, since they adopted. Kirishima and Bakugou being the next after a child was found that no one would adopt or take care of.

The list went on until finally Iida and Y/n were wed and had a child of their own.

The alumni of class 1-a were all very mournful of the quirkless woman's death. They had all grown attached to her in one way or another, Bakugou only having an acquaintance because of her immense cooking talents, but it was 10 years later, so they had to move on. Sure they had their days, but most were past it.

Iida stood making his way home quickly, opting to his quirk instead of the train.

Many people stopped him for autographs or questions.

He always gave a smile writing down his hero name and giving them a polite bow and wave.

He opened the door sighing as he set his keys on the counter. He walked to his room, pulling on a pair of pants and a t-shirt. He could hear the pitter patter of his cat's paws on the tile as he made his way back to the kitchen.

He stirred the pot of vegetables slowly as he waited for his daughter's arrival. She had opted to not stay in the rather old dorms, instead continuing to live with her father.

"Dad! I'm home! You'll never guess what happened today!" Iida watched with a small smile as his daughter changed into her soft slippers and made her way over to the kitchen.

"Well, I'm sure it's interesting if it has to do with you!" He responded with a chuckle. He was grateful she didn't push him away like most teens did with their parents, and instead choosing to open up and be outgoing with her father.

"Today, Ryoko (Kiribaku) asked me out on a date!" Iida almost dropped the pan as he moved the food into bowls.

"What."

"I know what your going to say dad, 'he's a boy' and 'boy are problematic', but I really like him!" She pleaded with her father watching as his face held no emotion. He sighed continuing with the food preparation.

"Fine, but, if he does anything I'm not okay with I'm talking with Aizawa about your seating arrangement." Iida stated sternly, mentioning the retired pro teacher.

Miracle smiled reminding the man of his late wife.

"You look more and more like your mother everyday."

TIME SKIP

Iida listened intensely to the mission plan.

They were intruding a rather large gang's base today, to retrieve hostages. Iida was more than ready.

"Remember this is the gang that kidnapped Ingenium's wife. We must be careful. They are very powerful." Midoriya stated sending a sympathetic glance over at his mentioned friend.

Iida took a moment to reminisce, and to calm himself so this would not end up like the Stain incident in highschool.

The heroes gathered in their designated groups. Iida being in the rescue group was one of the last to enter the building. He ran through the halls gathering all of the hostages and leading them to the exit.

He entered the next door, being met with what seems to be a large hallway. There were multiple voices yelling at the end. He desperately whispered into his radio for backup.

He slowly made his way towards the sounds.

"We should just kill her already. It's been ten years and she still won't join us. She keeps rambling about that stupid hero husband of hers!" The first hissed. Iida froze.

"Just because it's been so long doesn't mean we can kill her. Boss says that if we can just figure out a way to give the girl a damn quirk she'll join us." The second snapped.

Iida could hear his comrades running towards him.

"Shit." The second voice mumbled. Iida took the chance to round the corner and use the hand to hand combat he'd learned for so many years.

After both captors were taken out he finally took a good look at the seemingly special hostage.

As his eyes locked with the ones he had loved for so long, she gasped.

"T-Tenya?" She whispered

"Oh my God..." His knees crumbled as he fell down to grip her in his arms.

His fellow pros watched in awe as the girl they had been remembering for so long broke down in tears in the arms of their friend.

"Let's get you out of here."

TIME SKIP

Tenya watched as she sipped on the hot cocoa she had been given.

"How's Miracle?" The woman shakily whispered, pulling the large blanket closer around her.

"She looks more and more like you everyday." He whispered wrapping a protective arm around her again.

She dryly laughed a small smile forming once again at the thought of her daughter.

"I can't wait to see how much she's grown."

Tenya helped her into the ambulance to take her to the hospital.

She came out with a few broken bones and some malnourishment, but otherwise she was okay. She was to stay in the hospital for the night.

Miracle:

Dad!? Are you ok?! How was the mission?

Dad:

I'm perfectly fine hun.

But I do want you to meet someone.

Come to room number 219 in the hospital. Third floor, last door on the right.

Miracle:

Ok...

Tenya gripped his wives hand tighter, while still being gentle as to not hurt her.

There was a knock on the door.

The elder Iidas waited in anticipation as their daughter entered the room.

Miracle looked on in confusion before the reality hit her.

"Holy Shit!"

"Miracle! Maybe you shouldn't be going out with that boy!"

"DAD!"

"Tenya! Leave her be!"
