Dabi - Kidnappings, slow dances, and new discoveries

A/n: In this 1.) Dabi is Touya Todoroki AU (though it's probably cannon). 2.) You knew Dabi during highschool. 3.) You are a pro hero named Terra.

Quirk: Earth manipulation: You can grow plants anywhere on your body, the stronger ones are the ones closest to your hands where the power originates. You can grow them in any direction as long as there is a light source. You can also use existing plants. You can also manipulate the earth if there are plants beneath it. (Such as an island with an underground cave, that is overgrown with vines.)

I sighed sitting in a chair, my arms tied behind my back, a rather large gash on my arm, and a (most likely) sprained ankle.

This was the third time I had been kidnapped this month, once by a lowlife gang, the other by a slightly larger villain organization. It was all because I was close to all might. I worked closely with him when I first debuted as a hero, and we kept in touch.

My legs swung casually beneath me, my body needing something to do rather than stare at the crumbled wall in front of me.

A rather squeaky door opened, revealing a rather tall man with black hair and teal eyes walked in.

'I've seen those eyes somewhere.'

"Ah, she's awake. You're a bit of a brat you know that."

"Oh, I've known since I was in highschool. My friend Touya-" I stopped, cutting myself short as I realized who this was, I looked up into his eyes. Those eyes I had admired for so many damn years.

"Touya?" I whispered my head tilting to the side. He froze, glancing behind him and closing the door. He made his way over to me, squatting to eye level, resting a gentle hand on my knee. He had changed so much, he had large purple scars all over his face, connected with his actual skin by staples. He had dyed his hair black and wore a rather long jacket with patchmarks matching his skin splotches.

"I know what your gonna say, but please call me Dabi." He asked, his voice less malicious than his previous words.

I slightly nodded, needing to lean forward and wrap my arms around him, to make sure he was ok, to make sure my Touya was still alive. He took a step back opening his mouth to say something before the door squeaked again and three more entered.

One had longer whitish-blue hair and had a... Hand? on his face. The second was a misty? man, wearing rather nice clothing. The last one was a girl, in a school uniform with blond, with a rather creepy look in her eyes, she stared at me with a look of murder mixed with lust.

"Dabi, we told you to tell us if she was awake." The hand guy hissed.

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say crusty." To-Dabi snapped back, startling me with his new tone, that had no resemblance of his highschool self. Dabi stole one last glance back at me before walking over to join the others.

"She's so~ pretty! Can I stab her please~" the girl whined, pulling out a knife and taking a step towards me.

Dabi's eyes widened before he gripped her shoulder pulling her back.

"No crazy, we need her for... information." I almost sighed in relief as Dabi spoke, before the hand guy took a step towards me.

"What is your relationship with All might?" The guy hissed reaching a hand towards me.

THIRD PERSON POV

Dabi clenched his teeth as he watched his boss step towards the girl.

'Please, Please don't kill her.' He silently pleaded, watching as the man interrogated the terrified girl.

Y/n answered all of Shigaraki's questions with a large glint of fear in her eyes.

She would occasionally glance over at Dabi, pleading for help. He bit his tongue resisting the urge to step in.

Shigaraki gathered all of the information he needed, stepping away.

"What do we do with her." Shigaraki looked at Dabi and Kurogiri, knowing Toga would ask to kill her.

I say we keep her as a threat." Dabi responded, a bit too quickly. Shigaraki turned to him eyes questioning under that weird ass hand.

"Fine, I'll deal with her. Toga would just murder her eventually."

Eventually Dabi convinced Shigaraki to not kill Y/n. Leaving Dabi and Y/n alone.

"I-I really didn't l-like that guy. He threatened to kill me m-multiple times."

She stuttered shaking a bit. He made his way over to her quickly untying her as quickly as he could.

She stood up rubbing her wrists. She tried to make her way over to him, her ankle still in quite a bit of pain. He engulfed her in a hug, rubbing her back just like he used to when she had a panic attack.

She sobbed into his chest, clinging to the black coat he wore.

"W-why d-did you h-have to le-leave?" She asked between more sobs and hiccups.

"I was putting those I loved in danger. Especially you. My father found out about us. He said if I didn't move on from you, you'd end up just like my mother. So I left, and Y/n, I have missed you more than anything on earth." He whispered glancing at the door again.

He pulled away, his arms still around my waist.

"Let's get you to a room okay? Just remember, act scared and we'll be fine."

"That won't be a problem. That blonde girl is really damn scary." He chuckled at my response. He grabbed the rope and my arm. He looked like he was being forceful but he was actually quite gentle.

He led me through the door. My eyes darted around the room, scanning the faces of all of the members. I made eye contact with blondie and she burst into giggles. I would have pulled down my hood to cover my face, but it was ripped off in the last kidnapping. I limped a bit faster when the blonde girl stood up a rather large knife in hand.

Dabi gently pushed me into a room. It had a small bed in the corner, the two windows were covered in wood and nails. The dresser was beaten and worn, with a small lamp on top, that was probably from a cheap store.

Dabi peered down the hallway, deeming it safe before closing the door.

He rummaged through one of the drawers pulling out a small wrapping of bandages. He walked back over to me offering a hand as he helped me to the bed.

He sat me down, wrapping the bandages around my ankle with a rather large sigh.

"What's wrong, T-Uh, Dabi?" I asked, he chuckled a bit, most likely at my slip up. His slight smile faded into a frown, causing my brows to furrow a tad.

"I'm just so disappointed that you were dragged into this. I mean, my father tried to hurt you, I hurt my whole family, my brother hates me because of who I am now, and you are captive here." He hissed to himself, his self doubt from years ago, still very present.

"Dabi. I raised your brother when your mom wasn't able to. He's an amazing kid, and he would be overjoyed your still alive. Hell, your father, would be happy, even if it was only a little bit. Sure, you hurt your family, but time heals people. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer than expected. And if your little gang hadn't kidnapped me, I would have quit being a hero."

"What!? Why would you do that!?" He asked clearly listening more than I thought.

"I only stayed a hero in hopes of finding you. You were the person who convinced me to go to U.A. after all. I have my resignation forms sitting on my desk in my agency. I was going to turn them in tomorrow." I responded cupping his cheek.

"Dear God, what did I do to deserve you?" He whispered causing me to blush crimson and bury my face in his chest.

He laughed, his hand running through my hair.

TIME SKIP

The heroes had managed to save me after three days. Dabi was out for groceries when the heroes attacked, making me a bit less anxious.

Endeavour was the one who saved me despite my harsh glare and multiple insults. He was rather confused since he had only met me during large hero missions or other workplace situations.

I looked down at the papers in front of me.

'Should I? I found To-Dabi, still need to work on that. My hero career hasn't exactly taken off.'

I was sitting at my desk, contemplating whether or not to resign. I stood up, walking down the hall to my bedroom. I slipped out of my hero costume, pulling on an old t-shirt and sweats.

I walked out to the balcony, looking out at the field.

I lived in a small house on the edge of the city. I patrolled in a rural area, so there was no need to live near any large places.

My eyes scanned the large flower patches, wondering what I should bring to Rei when I visited tomorrow.

I walked back inside and down to the kitchen, pulling out a pan and heating up the stove.

"What'ya makin'?" I smiled to myself as the voice rang through the room.

"Cold soba." (I have no damn idea how you make it and I know this is probably wrong so bare with me) I replied, unfazed by the sudden presence.

"Mind if I stay and have some?" I chuckled turning to meet Dabi's eyes, his hair was a lighter black and his roots were showing a bit. I silently reminded myself to buy some hair dye for his next visit, since I knew he wouldn't be able to do it by himself.

"You know damn well you are always welcome to stay here." I teased redirecting back to the stove. He placed a small kiss on my cheek, before walking over to my fruit basket pulling out an apple.

I pulled out my phone, putting on some music while I cooked. Dabi snickered as 'fly me to the moon' came on. I swayed to the tune, lightly humming the words.

I poured the soba into bowls setting one next to him on the counter. As I pulled out a fork, he took the bowl out of my hand setting it next to his.

He grabbed my hand pulling me towards him. His other arm snaked around my waist as he led a dance to the song.

I let out a hearty laugh before joining in. We swayed softly, occasionally doing a spin, or a dip.

The song had just ended when there was a knock at the door. Our heads snapped to the noise, before he scrambled up the stairs.

I opened the door being met with the stoic expression of a certain Shoto Todoroki. My heart stopped for a minute, as my mind processed who had just decided to show up.

"Oh, Hi Todoroki kouhai. Do you need something?" I asked as calmly as I could.

"I need to talk to you."

"O-Okay, c-come on in."

We sat down on the couch as my hands became clammy.

'Dear God please don't let something happen.'

"It's about Touya."

'Well shit.'

"Ok. What about him?"

"You know that one villain? With the purple scars and black hair?"

"I believe so, why?"

"I think that- I think that villain, is Touya. You had contact with both Dabi and Touya, so I was just wondering what you thought."

My mind blanked for a second, as my brain scrambled for a good answer.

"Well, sure they have their similarities, but do you really think Touya would do that?" I tried to sound confident in my words, as I knew for sure Dabi- Touya, I don't even know, I just knew he was listening.

"What if it's the same situation as my mother. My father pushed her to insanity, why no different with him?"

"I do suppose that is a valid argument. I might have to sleep on it before I can give you an answer. How about you come back tomorrow, and we'll see if I can come up with something."

He nodded causing me to mentally sigh in relief.

"One last thing."

"Hmm?"

"Who was that man that ran upstairs?"

"..."

I froze, contemplating all of my outcomes.

"Well, uh, your really not going to enjoy this, but, uh, that was my boyfriend."

"Let me meet him now. You are basically my older sister if he doesn't seem right to me, he's got to go."

Sure I was proud of Shoto for voicing his own opinion, but why'd it have to be now.

"So here's the thing," I whispered.

"You, may, or may not, have been spot on." I finished.

I watched as Dabi slowly revealed himself from the stairway, an awkward smile on his face.

"We're really sorry?"

Shoto remained emotionless for a small moment causing me and Dabi to sweatdrop.

The young Todoroki slowly stood up, his stoic expression still remaining.

He made his way over to his long lost family, worry etched onto my face.

I knew they could both handle themselves but I really did not want a fight in the middle of my house, between two fire users.

Suddenly, Dabi was engulfed in a hug, much to both mine and his surprise.

Tears streamed down Shoto's face, causing Dabi to crack as well.

They stood in each other's embrace for a bit, before they both pulled away to look at me.

They both smiled bringing me into a tight hug too.

We stood there for a bit before we all pulled away.

"I'm still mad you took Bakugou, but I'm so glad your alive."

"Should have expected that one. Glad to finally see you again kid."

"Alright, now, anyone want cold soba?"
