Chigiri POV:

I have lived for several decades and traveled everywhere and nothing became new until I met someone else, Y/N L/N, she was different. In such a dark world she was the light that many people needed to see the world differently.

When I met her she was helping me with a wound but it didn't matter because the injury was healing very fast. I never told her about my lack of death called immortality. It was a curse if anything, it didn't matter how many times I got injured she never questioned how fast I healed. She still helped me with a lot of stuff, I've seen some very sad things but she just didn't care how much I pushed her away.

She stayed.

Why would anyone do that?

My life seemed to mean nothing but to her I was a very important thing in her life. She talked to me about anything. She never left me alone for more than an hour, she texted me every single day. It made everything so much better.

The world was no longer dark with her around. She was my light in a storm.

I never thought that someone like her existed.

The storm became a sunny day. I asked Y/N to be mine and she said yes. By then we started to hang out every single day and never spent time apart. It was the most blissful time ever before she eventually got pregnant by me and only a few months later we got married and started planning for the kid. Everything was perfect until the accident happened. A fire ended it all.

A dumb fire destroyed my whole perfect life.

"That's my whole life story, I don't know what else you want from me."

"I want you to die, I want to be the only other immortal."

"I can't die, no matter how much I have tried."

"But here's what I don't get. You could have saved her, why didn't you?"

"I wasn't there when it happened."

"You were always together though."

"I went out for a bit to get some food. I wasn't there to save my wife."

"You could have saved her."

"Shut up."

"You could have saved your entire family from the fire, but no. You just had to let them die!"

"I DIDN'T LET THEM DIE." I yelled so loud that the windows of the house began to crack. This was proof that I shouldn't have left my guard down. I allowed the one thing in my life to die. I'm truly meant to be alone.

I started to feel my body disappear like I was fading. I fell onto my knees and saw my body turning into shiny little petals. I was fading away finally.

That's when I remembered the story of the Fadings.

The story stated how wonderful it was to fade away. I started to feel relaxed and like I was at peace with being faded away.

"Hey, Chirigi! What is happening to you!?" The other immortal shouted worried that it was a new weapon that kills immortals.

"I'm fading, it doesn't happen that often. It only happens once you become at true inner peace. For me that was my perfect life with my wife."

"...I'm sorry about your wife. Reunite with her."

That's what I did

The proceed was still in motion once I saw my wife again. She was so beautiful.

"Hyoma!" She shouted but didn't run to me.

"Y/N" I walked closer to her and she started to shiver.

"I was so alone without you here by my side. Please Hyoma say something."

"..." I approached closer.

"Please say something!"

"...."

"Hyoma."

"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you."
