chapter four

chapter four || i'm not normal

"Got'em," Stiles tells Scott before sitting at the table. "I'll pick you up after work tonight and we'll meet at the rink, cool? Hey, hey? Are you even listening to me?"

Stiles follows his gaze to where Scott is staring. He raises his eyebrow as he sees he is staring at the girl who caught Erica. "Dude, you know you have a girlfriend, right?"

Scott rolls his eyes and glares at Stiles. "Yes, I do and I'm very much in love with her but I just want to know who she is? Do you know anything about her?"

Stiles thinks back to the time they talked in detention before shaking his head. "Not really, I mean I know she likes books?"

Scott gives him a flat look. "Yeah anyone can tell that, she always has her face in a book. I'm asking if you know her name or where she came from or anything about her at all?"

Stiles shakes his head. "Not really, she just kind of showed up out fo no where."

Scott gives him a look. "And you don't think that's suspicious at all?"

Stiles widens his eyes as he realizes what Scott is hinting at. "You think she's behind the murders?"

Scott shrugs. "She could be, it makes sense right?"

Stiles nods his head rapidly. "Yes, yeah, she suddenly comes out of nowhere and these murders start happening, no one knows anything about her, and lets not forget about that thing with Erica today."

Scott nods his head. "I'm thinking the samething."

Lydia slams her hands on the table. "What the holy hell is that?"

"Its Erica," Scott replies, he shares a look with Stiles and they run out together. They stand and watch as Erica gets in the car with Derek, she winks before closing the door and they speed off together.

Stiles turns to Scott. "Hey, I was thinking, maybe we should invite her?"

"Who?" Scott asks confused.

"The girl from gym, maybe we could talk to her, find out anything suspicious."

Scott nods his head. "Good idea, you should go do that."

"Me? Why me? I'm terrible with girls."

"So am I," Scott defends himself.

Stiles rolls his eyes. "Yeah, thats why you have a girlfriend."

Belle climbs out of Stiles jeep and walks behind Scott and Stiles towards the rink.

She shivers as she steps inside. "God, it's so cold."

"Oh here, take my jacket," Stiles tells her.

She shakes. "But then you'll be cold."

He shrugs. "I can handle it."

Belle warily looks between him and the jacket. "Take it," he insist.

She reluctantly agrees and puts it on. Lydia looks at her in disgust, "Blue and orange are not a good combination, very unattractive."

Stiles looks at Belle expecting her to take it off because of what Lydia said but to his surprise she just shrugged.

"Well hypothermia isn't very attractive either, and besides I'm pretty sure health is more important than looks."

Lydia rolls her eyes and walks away. Stiles looks at Belle curiously. "You know most people would of listened to Lydia and just taken it off for her approval."

Belle shrugs. "My parents didn't put in this world only to live life pleasing others. What's the point of being born if you aren't going to affect this world in your own way?"

Stiles furrows his eyebrows. "You're different," he states.

She grins. "I know," she says cockily.

Stiles rolls his eyes but smiles nontheless. "You know, I never caught your name?"

"That's because I never tossed it," she winks.

"Well are you going to tell me?"

She sits down and starts to put on her skates. "Oh no, you're going to have to work for it," she says, shaking her head.

"How?" Stiles says also putting his skates on.

She smiles again and Stiles couldn't help but notice that how beautiful it was. "Let's make a deal," she says.

Stiles raises his eyebrow. "I'm listening."

She stands up and starts walking backwards towards the rink. "If you can catch me, then you can know my name."

Stiles crosses his arms. "You know, normal people just tell them their names, they don't make them work for them. You're quite difficult."

She laughs lightly. "Stiles, if there is one thing you should know about me-- its that I am not normal, and I am most definately not easy," she says before steping on the ice and skating away.

Stiles quickly steps on the ice, wobbly skating after her. She circles around the rink, gracefully making jumps and turns. Stiles stares at her in amazement, captivated by the brunette girl in front of him.

Belle skates towards Stiles after landing a triple axis. She stops in front of him, cheeks flushed and eyes shinning.

"That-that-that was incredible," Stiles stutters.

"You think?" She blushes lightly.

Stiles nods his head rapidly, Belle slightly fearing that it might bounce off. "Definitely, definitely amazing," he tells her.

She opens her mouth to say something but gets cut off by Stiles quickly grabbing her. "I caught you!" He grins.

"No fair! That was cheating!" She says pouting.

He grins. "Nope, I caught you, now if I remember you do owe me your name."

Belle rolls her eyes and sighs. "Fine, it's Belle. Belle French. Belle Elizabeth French."

"Belle French," Stiles repeats, testing in on his tongue. "It fits you," he grins.

She smiles. "Really? You think so?"

"Definitely," he says smiling back at her.

A piercing scream continuously fills the rink. Belle turns around and sees that the sound is coming from Lydia. Belle quickly skates over there but gets beaten by Allison and Scott, Allison holds Lydia as she keeps screaming and scratching the floor.

Belle stands there infront of Lydia in shock, not quite understanding whats happening. She quickly turns to look at Stiles but something behind him catches her eyes, a small purple flower sitting in the middle of the rink.

Wolfsbane.
