"DON'T... MAKE ME... GO THROUGH YOU!!" Superman blasted his heat vision to her. Wonder Woman blocked it with her unbreakable shield. Then, she swiftly tossed the shield into his face. The Man of Steel was slammed to the ground very hard. It was the most painful hit he had ever gotten.

"YOU ARE NO MATCH FOR ME, KRYPTONIAN!" she said with her loud, demonic voice.

Aquaman lifted up his trident and attacked her with his waves and sea monsters. The Flash made a massive tornado to strike her with his super speed. Looking at them trying to finish her, she brought her bracelets together and blast a powerful force field and knocked them away.

BOOSHH!!

"PATHETIC! FROM NOW ON... I, THE GREAT FELIX FAUST WILL CONQUER THE WORLD WITH THE POWERS OF THE OLD GODS!!"

The league was falling down. Felix Faust was dominating her strength. It was time for him to act. Then, through his Batplane shooter, he shot a few smoke bombs at her to make a distraction.

BOOM!! BOOM!! SHHHHHHHH!!

"AGH!! WHO DARES?!" She was surrounded by thick smoke. It blocked her sight. While she was getting rid of the smoke, Batman prepared his snipper, inserted the last toxin he had, and set her on target

"It's going to hurt, Diana," he said to himself unwillingly.

Target: locked.

BANG!!

The toxin dashed in blusterous speed at her direction. Unfortunately, Wonder Woman was aware of that and blocked the shot with her gauntlets at once. The toxin fell on the ground and she straightly crushed it with her heel. Then, she looked around, trying to find the shooter. As soon as she saw the Bat, she flew to approach him.

With his own eyes, he could see her clearly. Her hair was burning in black fire, her eyes were glowing red, her skin was as bloodless as a living corpse, and her veins were all black. He had never seen such horror in her.

"Oh, the knight of her fate! Yes, I know it all... You're here to save the princess? Ah! I must say, for a man who doesn't believe in sorcery, how thoughtful of you!" The possessed princess grinned widely.

"SHE... DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU, FAUST!" Batman enraged his voice and clenched his fists.

There and then, he did what he promised not to do, fighting against her. His Batarangs against her mighty sword.

CLANG!! CLANG!! CLANG!! WHAAMP!!

Although Batman had struggled to subdue her in many ways, even with his own kicks and punches, Wonder Woman was always one step ahead. He could tell that her fighting spirit was still there. She dodged, stroke, and blew him to the ground. Then, she pointed her sword at his head to restrain him.

"I have never seen one such foolish man to challenge the goddess of paradise. What power do you have to defeat me, Batman?"

"By showing her... the TRUTH!!!" He instantly entangled her with her own lasso of truth he secretly took from her during their fight. "THE LASSO COMPELS YOU! SHOW YOUR TRUE SELF!"

"As you wish, mortal." Without even trying to avoid it, she ran her fingers along the glowing lasso. A surge of energy ran from her hands and down toward him, into him, causing him to see what had been troubling her. Her revelation and fate... THEIR fate... together. His eyes narrowed, trying to understand.

"The truth has been revealed. Why do you hesitate, mortal? Scared of losing her, yes?" Both of them were connected inside and out by the lasso's golden energy that coursed between them.

Yes, he was afraid. Sharing his life with her would be both a blessing and a risk, seeing that if he had someone special, his enemies would not rest until they got him through her. However, he realized that she needed his strength to break free. So, he put his faith together for Diana.

"She is stronger than even you and I know it! Now, the lasso commands you to tell the truth! WHO ARE YOU?!" His inside strength vanquished his hesitation. His faith in Diana was bonding with the lasso's energy. Its glow burned her. Because of it, Felix Faust's dominion trembled.

"RRRAARGHHH.... NO!!.... IT CANNOT BE!!!... BRUCE!!" It was Diana's voice! The blackness that covered her whole body began to fade, gradually. The Amazon Princess was struggling to free herself from the sorcerer's possession. Batman could feel the pain in her through her cries and screams.

"YES!! WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER. SHOW ME YOUR TRUE SELF!!"

"I... I... I AM DIANA!! PRINCESS OF THEMYSCIRA!! RRAAAAAARGHH!!" Diana finally had the strength to fight the darkness of the possession, forcing the spirit of Felix Faust out of her body. She made it. Faust fled out. Too much energy she spent on fighting the sorcerer, Diana fell down and collapsed. Batman immediately caught her and held her on his lap.

Her skin was ice cold. Her body was nerveless. Then, he checked her pulse.

He felt... nothing. No heartbeat.

"No, NO!!"
