What an Ice Place

The journey from the secluded jungle of South America to Gotham City, was actually incredibly easy. While originally Pamela and (Y/N) would have used Bane to brute force their way through the jungle, nature itself had other plans. (Y/N) stepped forward, with the leafs and branches parting for the three beings, guiding them towards civilisation. From there, it was a simple matter of getting to Gotham City. Luckily that's where Bane did come in handy, clearing a path for his masters at a nearby, independent airfield, then Pamela used some her 'unique talents' to convince a pilot to take them to Gotham. (Y/N) hadn't seen what Pamela did, as he was busy using his thorn like projectiles, which he was starting to get the hang of. They were summonable at will, almost like he just had to think them and they would grow. Sharp enough to penetrate skin, although the more he fired, the weaker they would get.

Landing in Gotham was simple, and Bane had managed to procure a vehicle for transportation. While driving into Gotham City, (Y/N) couldn't help but scoff. Skyscrapers each bigger than the other, all as if they were trying to reach heaven, people who seemed to care more about what seemed to be fashionable than the Earth beneath them, and statues. There were, so many statues. It was almost around each corner, one would see a new statue all of were some unnamed figure. Just what was this city spending its funding on?

As (Y/N) and Pamela were driven deeper into the city by a Bane in trench coat and hat to conceal his figure, (Y/N) could feel it, the green. Nature itself was trapped under all these pointless statues, calling out for help that wasn't coming, until now.

Pamela was dressing herself, applying makeup and glasses, wearing attire that matched that before her transformation. Which was a business like jacket, and a bright green shirt underneath. The radio blaring as they turned a corner;

"Good morning Gotham" a female voice called out. "It's Gossip Gerty, reporting to this morning direct from  the Gotham Observatory, where billionaire Bruce Wayne, chairman of Wayne Enterprises and philanthropist. Is about to make yet another legendary contribution to Gotham City" as this 'Gossip Gerty' went on, Pamela put on a wig, which matched that of her dark hair beforehand.

(Fin Fact: Gotham Gerty is played by Elizabeth Sanders, AKA the wife of Bob Kane, co creator of Batman)

(Y/N) on the other hand wore a white, button up shirt which was clearly creased up and unprofessional looking. The goal was to look just as they did before their little enlightenment. Then, (Y/N) brought a blue blazer over person, checking himself in the same mirror Pamela was using. He looked just like the old (Y/N), the (Y/N) who was blissfully unaware of how much pain nature was truly in.

"Gotham Observatory Bane" (Y/N) said calmly. "And put your foot down" he ordered, with the brute nodding in response, and (Y/N) rolling his eyes at just how dumb Bane really was.

"You seem in a rush" Pamela mused with a smirk.

"I would like to meet the man, who makes billions each year. But can't put aside a few million for rain forest protection" he answered back as he looked out the window. Looking up to see the observatory, which for some odd reason was located high up in the air, being kept up by guess what? A giant statue.

Getting into the statue was easy enough, most of the general public did not care for the stars, they did to even care for their own planet. But as they approached the stairs for upper balcony where Bruce was giving a talk to the press, hey were stopped by a small army of security guards. Pamela would sneak by easy enough, but (Y/N)'s new muscular figure would be harder. Although (Y/N) had an idea, and turned to Pamela as they hid behind a corner.

"Do you still happen to have that extract of scopolamine with you?" he asked with a devilish smirk.

Pamela seemed to know what he was thinking, and brought a smile vile held in-between her right index and middle fingers, putting a folder she was holding under her arms. "Does this" she motioned, "answer your question?" she added teasingly as (Y/N) took the vial. He opened the vial, and gently rubbed some of the liquid on his fingers, then, on his left wrist created a small, splinter like thorn. Then applied the liquid to the small thorn. (Y/N) fired the thorn at one of the guards in the neck, who held his neck in pain. Scopolamine is a poison, and it proved useful in inducing nausea and hallucinations, the guard stumbling round as some went to help him. This was the moment, as Pamela and (Y/N) charged through a few guards nothing and jogging to catch up, with two guards remaining behind to help their friend.

"You two need to stop" one guard called out, getting in front of (Y/N) and Pamela, though he did not stop them himself, with guards flanking them in all sides.

"Out of our way you facist bulldog" Pamela insulted, as they contiued their way towards Bruce Wayne, a mob of press and a woman dressed in pink who seemed to be close to Wayne.

"You have to have an appointment to see Mr Wayne" another guard tried to reason.

"We don't need an appointment, we can't wait, and neither can the planet" (Y/N) spat back as he brushed an arm on his shoulder. He didn't put much effort into it, as the guard seemed to feel some pain from the push.

"You two aren't authorised to be up here" a guard continued, and there they were, in front of Bruce Wayne himself. "uh, look she doesn't have a pass, sir" the guard explained.

Although Bruce didn't seem to mind, as he held up a hand to calm the guard down. "A little overly protective, but you two aren't gonna hurt me, are you miss?" he said to Pamela. The first thing (Y/N) noticed about Bruce Wayne, that arrogant, shit eating grin which he held.

"Doctor, Pamela Isley" she introduced.

"Doctor, (Y/N) (L/N)" he added.

"Doctors, what can I do for you both?" he questioned, maintaining that stupid grin.

"We actually  previously worked for you Mr Wayne" (Y/N) started, keeping eye contact. "Your arboreal preservation project in South America, if you call" he said with a raised eyebrow.

"Mm-mm, we cut our funding, there was a conflict of ideologies" he stated. "Doctor Woodrue was lunatic" he added.

'If you knew he was a lunatic why did you put the idiot in charge' (Y/N) thought to himself, doing his best to keep a smile.

Pamela seemed slightly shaken up at the mention of the name as she looked away, "I see you knew him" she said through her teeth, memories of what he did in her mind.

"Yes I did, that lab burnt to the ground last week, I'm glad you both managed to escape" Wayne said, sounding as if he actually cared. Once (Y/N) and Pamela had gathered everything they needed, they burnt down the main lab area to cover up their tracks. Not before (Y/N) commanded all plants to make their way out of the area, and they then recovered the burnt areas.

Pamela then pulled out the folder under her arms, a few pages long and she seemed happy and eager to show it off, (Y/N) also grew a smirk at the sight. "We have here, a proposal showing how Wayne Enterprises can immediately cease all actions hat toxify our environment" she said as Bruce took the folder and flipped the first page.

"Why look to the stars for other planets, when we can't even keep a single planet healthy" (Y/N) started. "We use one and a half planets worthy of resources, and a planet which we continue to poison in order to keep the luxury of modern day comforts" he continued.

"You spoil her lands" Pamela went on, yelling at the crowd of scientists and less important journalists below getting their attention. "Poison her oceans, blacken her skies, your killing her" she said with spite and gritted teeth.

"Well, your intentions are noble" he started, amused."But no diesel fuel for heat, no coolants to preserve food millions of people would die of cold and hunger alone" he listed.

"Acceptable losses in the battle to save the planet" Pamela said trying to reason with the billionaire.

"Mr Wayne, before technology and electronics how did humanity survive? On pure instinct, surely you of all people see the potential in renewable energy sources, but why do you and so many others refuse to invest in such research?" (Y/N) asked with slightly raised hands. "Costs too much, as if you can't spare a few million out of billions" he finished his small rant.

"People come first Doctors" Bruce said, handing the folder back to the pair and (Y/N) snatched it off him.

"Mammals" Pamela mused. "A day of reckoning is coming" she warned the crowed below. "That's right, the same plants and flowers that saw you crawl from the primordial soup will reclaim this planet. And there will be no one to protect you" she warned pointing at them, attempting to intimidate them.

Although this did little, as the crowed simply erupted into laughter at the duo and her warning. The reporters on the balcony with them, held down laughter as did Wayne's partner.

"You-you two must be new in town?" Gossip Gerty said stepping forward, getting the duos attention. "In Gotham City, Batman and Robin protect us" she explained. "Even from plants and flowers" she joked causing more laughter. Getting a spiteful smile from Pamela while (Y/N) kept his composure.

Bruce then handed a large black envelope to Pamela. "Maybe you'd like to meet them, Doctors. Caped Crusaders are gonna help us auction off a prized diamond to raise money for Gotham Botanical Gardens" she opened the envelope revealing a tiki theme, with text on the centre reading;

'Save the Rainforest Costume Ball, Gotham Botanical Gardens, Special Guests: Batman & Robin'

"Just a few mammals doing what we can for the world's plants" Bruce finished. "Thank you all coming" Bruce said to the large crowed below. "Good Day Doctors" he finished with Pamela waving him off and (Y/N) forcefully keeping his smile, as Wayne and his entourage walked away. A guard tried to put a hand on Pamela's shoulder though she swatted it away with (Y//N) giving the guard in question. The guards maintained a distance from the duo as they were escorted out, they weren't a threat to Bruce Wayne anymore.

"Batman and Robin? Protecting a city which destroys the very ground it stands on" (Y/N) started, wondering who these mysterious crime fighters were.

"They're the militant arms of the warm blooded oppressors. Animal protectors of the status quo" Pamela added.

"If are truly to make a difference in this city, we cannot have any interference" (Y/N) said, slowly forming a plan together.

"Rid ourselves of the fur and feathered pests" she started.

"Then, Gotham is ours for the greening he finished.
