3 months and 2 days after Pink Diamond returned to Earth

Steven and Pink take a stroll on the freshly built Little Homeworld. It took time a few weeks with all the gems from Homeworld, but the place was built and it just got decorated yesterday. They wanted to see how it looks today.

Pink is holding Steven's hand, not wanting to let go and is cherishing the moment. It's been only three months since she returned, but that doesn't satisfy her. She's missed 14 years of his life.

Steven and her look at the place in awe. The gems from Homeworld and Earth really outdid themselves. It actually looks like a miniature Homeworld has been implemented on Earth.

Pink noticed that Steven is looking tired from walking, but keeps his happy face on. She grabs the boy and puts him on her shoulders.

(Pink Diamond) I noticed you were tired from walking, so I can carry you.

(Steven) Mom, you don't have to do that.

(Pink Diamond) Sure I do. It's my duty as a mother to take care of my son, which is you.

Steven is grateful that she wants to be the best mother she could be, but sometimes it's a little much. She's starting to be like Pearl when Steven was younger. She even watches Steven sleep, too.

That's the one thing he didn't miss from Pearl. Speaking of Pearl, she's been more attached to Pink than anything else when she came back. She constantly keeps referring Pink as her Diamond, like in the old days, even though it's over.

She carries the things Pink has with her, and is standing by her most of the time. The reason why she isn't now is because Pink sent her to fetch Steven's phone, which he left at the house. She'll be back in a couple of minutes.

Steven liked the view, but didn't like being held by his mother. It's a little embarrassing. Now he knows what it's like for someone having their mother baby them in public.

(Steven) I feel better now. You can put me down.

(Pink Diamond) Nope. I know you're still tired. I can see it in your eyes.

He sighed in defeat, there's no changing her mind. Pink felt her Communicator going off in her gem. She grabs it to answer the call.

[Communicator] Pink?

(Pink Diamond) Yes, Blue?

[Communicator] We need you on Homeworld for the weekly discussion board.

(Pink Diamond) Oh, not another meeting. They're so boring!

[Communicator] You and your son might like this one. It's about Bruce.

Steven gasped.

(Pink Diamond) Okay, we're on our way.

She dismissed the call. Pearl just arrived with Steven's phone in her hand.

(Pearl) I've brought Steven's cellular device as requested, my Diamond.

Pink cringed at "my Diamond." Pearl took notice of that.

(Pearl) Is something wrong?

(Pink Diamond) I've told you not to call me my Diamond anymore. I'm Pink. This isn't Era-2 anymore.

(Pearl) Sorry... Pink.

(Pink Diamond) Much better. Come on, we have to go to Homeworld for another report. It's about Batman.

(Pearl) Well, let's go. We mustn't keep them waiting.

The three of them walked to the Galaxy Warp Pad and it took them straight to Homeworld.

Homeworld:

They warped to the outside of the Palace and walked through the doors after being greeted by the amethyst guards at the door. They walked in the conference room and found the three Diamonds already in their chairs with their pearls at their side. Pink's original pearl wasn't controlled by White anymore and she has a crack in her left eye.

She gasped when she saw Pink.

(Pink Diamond) Oh... I didn't think you would be here. White never lets go of anyone willingly with her power.

(White Diamond) I removed my power from her form a while ago. This is just the first time you two met ever since then.

(Pink Diamond) H-hey, pearl.

She remained silent and hid behind White's chair.

(Pink Diamond) I'm sorry.

(Steven) What happened?

(Yellow Diamond) Don't worry about it, Steven. It's just another one of Pink's failures.

(White Diamond) Back onto topic. We want to discuss about Wayne.

(Pink Diamond) What is it about?

(White Diamond) We want Wayne to be a part of the Diamond Authority.

Steven had no idea what the Diamond Authority is, but he does know it means something great if his mother is grinning.

(Pink Diamond) He would make an excellent addition!

(Blue Diamond) Quite an understatement.

(Yellow Diamond) Especially if he's resistant to Blue and White's powers. But with his combat and arsenal, he could possible rebuild our reputation to the galaxy.

(Steven) Reputation to the galaxy?

(Blue Diamond) Oh, right. While we have conquered many planets in our time. We came across planets that are territory to other Intelligent life out there and they seem to be able to defeat us with their armies.

(Yellow Diamond) And we may have disputes, we eventually made a treaty, declaring a truce. And their planet and technology is impressive and even better than ours.

(White Diamond) All we had that was impressive to them was obedient gems.

(Yellow Diamond) Until Pink ruined everything.

(White Diamond) They laughed at us.

(Blue Diamond) And said many hurtful things to us. Some of them still hurt.

(Yellow Diamond) I wasn't lying when I said we were an embarrassment for the last 6,000 years.

(White Diamond) But if we were to introduce Wayne into the Diamond, maybe they'll respect us again.

(Steven) What is the Diamond Authority?

(Pink Diamond) It's like a private court of all the four Diamonds and their pearls.

(Blue Diamond) Oh, we must get him a pearl.

(Yellow Diamond) I'll have one deployed to him immediately.

(Steven) Whoa, whoa, whoa! I'm not sure if he'll join.

(White Diamond) Pardon?

(Steven) Look, I may have the option to call him, but I don't speak for him. And he probably might be busy with things.

(Yellow Diamond) We wouldn't be asking him to attend the Diamond Authority daily. He can still join us and be absent for as long as he would like. But we would only need him for emergency purposes.

(White Diamond) And we need you to summon him to Homeworld so we could talk about it.

(Blue Diamond) Please, Steven?

(Steven) Okay, I'll call him, but everything beyond that is out of my league. But I need to get to Earth first.

(Yellow Diamond) Very well.

(Blue Diamond) Please return quickly.

Earth:

Gotham:

(Alfred) Sir, the cell for Miss Oliver appears to have a broken handle.

(Bruce) I wonder how that happened.

They both look at Charlotte and she smiles innocently.

(Bruce) We know it was you.

(Moonlight) What? Me? Oh, preposterous.

(Bruce) You're the only one down here that has a cell and the strength to break a cell.

He can see her holding a handle behind her back.

(Bruce) You're not allowed out of your cell unless we let you out.

(Moonlight) You should get a bigger cell. It's too small for a gal like me.

(Bruce) When did you even do that?

(Moonlight) About ten minutes ago. But it's not like I destroyed it. It still closes.

(Alfred) But it cannot be locked. Which was the point of it.

(Moonlight) But there's no need for a lock. I'm not going anywhere, even if I wanted to. Oh, and if you want me to stay in my cell longer, you should get me a bigger bed.

(Bruce) You don't need sleep.

(Moonlight) I don't need it, but I want it sometimes. It's a time killer. Oh, and if you ever have any rough nights, you should come in here with me.

She attempts to seduce him with charm and offer.

(Bruce) I'll get you a bigger bed, and a stronger lock.

(Moonlight) Oh, come on, now. You'll have the most fun you'll ever had. I'll be good...

She rests her head on a hand.

(Bruce) You said you would agree spending time in a cell if I took you here.

(Moonlight) I know, I know. But I've noticed how stressed out you are sometimes. I can help you out with that. I'm always here, literally.

She walked inside her cell that has a broken handle. Both Alfred and Bruce noticed her eyes glow in the dark, her cell has no light in it.

(Alfred) I'm not sure what spooks me more. Her friendly attitude towards you, or her eyes adjusting to the light level.

(Bruce) I'll put a light in there later.

(Moonlight) Don't, I actually like it. It gives me privacy.

(Bruce) What are you doing in there that would require privacy?

(Moonlight) Well, I change clothes into pajamas and vice versa. And... I have some fantasies I love to think about and hope to be reality one day. Oh, and I think my bedsheets need changing.

[Howard made me do this]

(Alfred) (sighs) It'll go straight to the washer immediately.

(Moonlight) (giggles)

Bruce heard the radio going off. He answer it.

[Radio] Bruce?

(Bruce) Steven, what is it?

(Moonlight) Steven? Is that your another adopted son?

(Alfred) No. He's a friend.

[Radio] The Diamonds want to talk to you in person. About joining the Diamond Authority. They said you would need to listen before coming to an answer. And they sound very desperate.

(Bruce) I'll be there in a few minutes.

He puts on the suit.

(Moonlight) I'll never get enough of those long, pointy ears. Seriously, you look very unique with them.

Bruce got in the Batwing and it took him to Beach City.

Homeworld:

Pink warped Batman to Homeworld. Steven and Pearl were waiting for them.

(Steven) Whoa! Is that a new suit?!

(Batman) Yes. Only two days ago. It makes me faster and stronger.

(Steven) You look like you're going to war.

(Batman) I'm prepared for war. It's a precaution I have to take. Let's go see the Diamonds.

Pink and Pearl lead him to the door.

(Pink Diamond) Oh, I feel like I should warn you. The Diamonds are really, really desperate about this.

(Batman) I know, I was told by Steven.

(Pink Diamond) Except you don't know how desperate they are. They get on their hands and knees and sing to you.

(Batman) You're exaggerating.

(Pearl) No, she's not. Just wait.

She opened the door and both humans walked in the room.

(Steven) Look who I brought.

(Yellow Diamond) Detective!

She stood up from her chair and saluted him (gem verison of saluting).

(Blue Diamond) Bruce, you're finally here. And is that a new suit?!

(White Diamond) You just keep getting more perfect over time.

(Batman) I was told you wanted me to be a part of the Diamond Authority.

(White Diamond) Precisely.

(Batman) Why do you sought me out? I'm just a human.

(Yellow Diamond) Are you joking?

(White Diamond) You're more than that. You're the prime example of a human being.

(Blue Diamond) Great strength, great intelligence, great combat, great arsenal, everything about you is great.

Pink leans against the wall.

(White Diamond) We know you're busy with Earth things.

(Yellow Diamond) And you don't have to change anything if you join the Diamond Authority.

(Blue Diamond) And you'll have authority over gems and Homeworld as well. You'll have your own pearl, status, and more!

(Batman) I'm not looking for notoriety.

(White Diamond) Think of it as "perks" you humans call it. You could take advantage of it when trouble were to arise on Homeworld.

Blue got on her knees.

(Blue Diamond) Please join us! We would really, really appreciate you here. You would become very useful.

(White Diamond) We've prepared a little song to help you decide.

(Pink Diamond) Oh, here we go...

All three Diamonds stood together and cleared their throats synchronized.

(The Diamonds) 🎶 Come join us in the Diamond Authority. There's a position waiting for you! 🎶

(Yellow Diamond) 🎶 Come on! 🎶

(Blue Diamond) 🎶 Come on! 🎶

(White Diamond) 🎶 Come on~! 🎶

(The Diamonds) 🎶 Just join our court! 🎶

All three of them kneeled onto the floor.

(The Diamonds) 🎶 Yes, we know you're not one of us but you act like it! You know what it means to be one of us, and you remind us so much of ourselves. 🎶

(Batman) I'm not sure.

(The Diamonds) But Wayne!

(Yellow Diamond) This is an opportunity a gem would shatter for!

(Blue Diamond) Yes, this isn't something we do ever.

(White Diamond) You have no idea how uncommon this is, even by our standards.

(Batman) What would happen if I join?

(Yellow Diamond) Nothing changes much. You would have a pearl assigned to you along with some of our equipment you may want to use during your trips here. And we have this device that access the Warp Pads. That way, you don't need a gem to warp you anywhere. And you get your own communicator which only we, the Diamonds, can access.

Batman took it into consideration and eventually came to a decision.

(Batman) Okay. I'll join the Diamond Authority.

(White Diamond) Marvelous!

(Batman) Do I have to take a test?

(Blue Diamond) You don't have to. We can use your results from The Chamber during that night 90 days ago.

(Batman) Those results are outdated. With my new suit, I'm faster and stronger than ever.

(White Diamond) We must see this at once.

(Pink Diamond) To The Chamber!

The Chamber:

Much like what happened three months ago, Steven, the four Diamonds, and the pearls are waiting in the control room and Batman is in The Chamber, ready to fight.

[Speaker] Begin!

The difficulty meter has been increased as well, to accommodate with the new suit. The first few fake gems are the quartz soldiers that are in the above average stage. They're gems who are almost as strong as the perfect quartz named Jasper.

Steven has his popcorn ready. White and Yellow have screens near them to take notes on, to study the bat. Blue and Pink are on the edge of their seats, eagered to see what happens.

The first gem that tried to attack was an ocean jasper. The reason why the word "was" is put in the previous sentence is because she was quickly pulverized by Batman when he grabbed her arm and slammed her against the wall and she poofed. The slam shook the room.

The second one is an amethyst guard wearing armor, he knows how to handle them differently now. When he wore the old suit, he needed quick focused attacks to penetrate the defenses of the armor the amethysts wore. But with the new suit, a single punch would be enough to push them far.

He kicked the armored amethyst guard over and stomped on the chestplate. The impact poofed the fake gem. The last gem is a rose quartz.

She didn't last long when Batman gripped her collar, lifts her up and over his shoulder, and slammed her on the ground with one arm. Yellow and White were having a field day with thw information they're receiving.

(White Diamond) Astonishing. Such brutality...

(Yellow Diamond) And I thought I was brutal...

More illusion gems illuminated, six of them. Two of them were taken down instantaneously with Batman slamming their heads together. One tried kicking him, but he kicked her leg away, turned and kicked her away with his opposite leg.

One tried attacking him with a pole. He disarmed her and smacked her to the ground with her own weapon, breaking both her and her weapon. One came at him with a sheild.

He grabbed the sides of the shield and moved it up to hit the gem's chin. She involuntarily lets go of the shield and Batman smacked her with it. She falls to the ground and Batman slammed the edge of the shield onto her throat, decapitating her.

He's taking advantage of the fact that the lethal moves for humans aren't lethal to gems and he doesn't have to hold back. For once, White was impressed by one's fighting technique. She hopes he'll do it again.

Steven didn't like that move he did. The thought came into his mind.

(Steven) (thoughts) What if that was a person? That would most definitely kill someone. I hope he doesn't do these moves to people, they could really hurt them badly...

Steven knew the poeple he fights are criminals, but even they're still people. Being pummeled by Batman isn't a fun experience, and it could cripple you. He hopes Batman doesn't go this hard on humans.

Very soon, Steven was brought back into reality when he noticed Batman stopped fighting and walked back in the room.

(Batman) How did I do?

(Yellow Diamond) Beyond whatbwe expected for the new suit.

(White Diamond) We ran out of room on our screens to write more.

(Blue Diamond) And your fighting was recorded so we can send it to those who laughed at us. Maybe they'll treat us with respect again.

(Yellow Diamond) Hopefully. You may leave now, Detective. We have much to discuss.

Batman left to the Warp Pad after collecting the new equipment they gave him. He warped back home. Pink and Steven went to the Warp Pad and said goodbye to the Diamonds.
