...Batman...
'That couldn't have been her. Could it?' Batman wasn't sure if what he saw was her. But then again if it was her that wouldn't surprise him. Lucy never seemed to want to listen to "Batman" but if Bruce had told her to stay she would have. 'Why?' Batman wishpered angrily. ' I shouldn't be worried I mean she's Lucy.' he knew how afraid Lucy was of everything. He needed to focus on Joker and Harley he had to trust that he made the right decision to leave her there. But what if he didn't?

     Joker's car ran into a fire hydrant. Batman got out of his car to retrieve Joker but by the time he got there him and Harley were gone. 'Damn it!' 'They must have escaped when I wasn't looking' Batman was sick of Joker and Lucy. Between chasing Joker around, and making sure Lucy was safe he had to wake up early the next morning for a meeting. He just wanted the day to be over. He was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. He wondered around the empty streets searching for Joker. No luck he was nowhere to be found. Then he heard a voice from behind him.
??????: "Are you looking for me?"
Batman: "I was actually looking for your boyfriend."
Batman knew that annoying voice 'Harley Quinn.'
     Harley swung her oversized hammer at Batman and that began their battle.

                    ...Lucy...
     She ignored the speed limit and went as fast as Bruce's car could go. Getting stop by cops didn't even worry her, the streets were pretty much empty anyway. She stopped a few blocks away from where Joker and Batman had stopped. Lucy knew she should stay out of sight as much as possible and being on foot was the best way to do that. As she made her way towards the cars she could hear sounds of people fighting. She found a nearby ally to hide in. Lucy peeked around the corner and saw a women swinging an oversized hammer at Batman. He seen to be having trouble keeping up 'Why is he so slow?'
He got hit a couple of times but the last time he had a harder time getting up.
Harley: "Awe what's wrong Bats are you getting tired already?"
   He said nothing and tried to get up but Harley hit him again. He rolled over on to his back and couldn't move. Harley took that opportunity to climb on top of him. She took the handle of her hammer and stated to chock Batman. Then she looked to the sky and yelled...
Harley: "This is for you puddin!"
      Lucy watched in terror 'What do I do?!' She began to panic all the while Batman struggled for air. She saw a metal pipe laying near a dumpster 'Should I?' 'What am I thinking? Someone needs to help him.' 'But I can't help anyone.' Lucy fought with herself for a few seconds then made a decision. She quick grab the pipe and ran over to Harley and Batman. She raised her arms and swung the pipe down as hard as she could. Harley fell over, releasing Batman. He slowly sat up and started to cough, trying to catch his breath. Lucy dropped the pipe, amazed by her own strength and newfound courage. The sound from the pipe hitting the ground made Batman look up to see who had saved him.
Batman: "Lucy?!"
     He was livid.
Batman: "What the HELL?!"
Lucy: "What?"
Batman: "What are you doing here?!"
Lucy: "I was just trying to help."
Batman: "I didn't need help."
    Now Lucy was mad.
Lucy: "So that women wasn't trying to kill you!?"
     He was silence for a moment. Then changed the subject.
Batman: "You could have gotten hurt."
Lucy: "But I wasn't hurt."
Batman: "That's not the point. Why did you even follow me?"
     Lucy did know the answer to his question 'Why did I follow him?' She searched for the answer but couldn't find it she was frustrated and began to tear up. Batman noticed her frustration.
Batman: "Never mind."
      They were both quite and unsure of what to do next then Lucy looked down.
Lucy: "Is she um...dead?"
     Batman bent down to check Harley's pulse.
Batman: "No just unconscious."
Lucy: "What now?"
Batman: "Well I need to get her back to Arkham."
Lucy: "And me?"
Batman: "Jokers' still out there somewhere so you should come with me."
Lucy: "Come with you?"
Batman: "To take her back to Arkham, then I'll take you home."
Lucy: "Oh okay."
     'She didn't argue with me this time.'  This puzzled him he was expecting her to make a big deal out of him taking her home. But she didn't. 'What's wrong with her?' He bent down and picked Harley up. He put her in the back of the his car then went to the other side to open the door for Lucy.
Batman: "Get in."
     Lucy got in and sat quietly. Curiously got the best of her and she stretched out her hand to press one of the many buttons.
Batman: "Don't touch."
Lucy: "Sorry"
       She put her hand back in her lap. The car was filled with uncomfortable silence as they drove to Arkham, the silence felt familiar. So Lucy decided to fill the silence.
Lucy: "Who is she?"
Batman: "What?"
Lucy: "The woman trying to kill you."
Batman: "Her name is Harley Quinn."
Lucy: "Why was she with Joker?"
Batman: "She helped him break out of Arkham."
Lucy: "Wait that was her?!"
Batman: "Why are you yelling?"
Lucy: "Sorry I was just surprised. Why would she help Joker?"
Batman: "She's Joker's girlfriend."
Lucy: "Really? She's just as crazy as Joker."
Batman: "Crazier."
     Lucy smiled to herself. Being able to have a conversation with Batman like this made her feel more comfortable around him.
Lucy: "Batman can I..."
Batman: "We're here."
     He stopped the car on the bridge that connected Gotham and Arkham. He didn't want to bring Lucy anywhere near that horrible place. Batman got out of the car and took Harley with him before he walked away he went to the window to tell Lucy something.
Batman: "Stay here."
Lucy: "Okay."
Batman: "I mean it this time stay in the car."
       He walked away then came back.
Batman: "And don't touch anything."
Lucy: "I KNOW!"
        He walked to the gate and handed her over to the guards. Then returned to the car, the ride to Lucy's apartment was quite mainly because they were both too exhausted to make conversion. They had finally arrived he stopped a few feet from the building so his car wouldn't draw any attention. They sat there then someone spoke.
Batman: "Thank you."
Lucy: "What?"
Batman: "For what you did back there."
Lucy: "Oh well you saved me so I guess we're even."
Batman: "Yeah, goodnight."
Lucy: "Goodnight."
       Lucy got out and made her way into the building. When she got inside her apartment she went straight to bed. She was drifting off when she remembered something terrible......."Bruce!"

Thank you! I am sooooo sorry it took me so long I've been having issues and stuff. And sorry this chapter was so long there was just a lot of things I wanted to say. So comment, also I'd love some ideas on the next situation Lucy and Bruce/Batman should find themselves in. I love your comments. Thanks again you guys are the only reason I smile.
