Batman is my boss?.......

Lucy has worked at Bruce's company for three years now yet he still hasn't "noticed" her. Every morning as she walks into the Wayne building he walks pass her. Never paying any attention to what isn't directly in front of him but Lucy never mined it, he did always seemed to be in a hurry. Lucy stood there with her eyes closed taking in his sweet but manly smell, even after Bruce had left the area his wonderful scent still lingered. She finally came to realize she was late! Lucy quickly made her way to the elevator she pressed the button that would take her to the top floor of the building, where she and Bruce worked she made her way to her small desk right outside of Bruce's luxurious office. As she sat down she thought "I've been his secretary for almost three years but he still doesn't know my name" the sound of the phone ringing interrupted her thoughts. She picked up the phone " Hello....okay......at 8:00........yes I will tell him" she rushed towards Mr.Wayne's office to inform him that his meeting was now at 8:00 rather than the agreed time of 9:30. As she was about to reach for the door knob someone rushed out and bumped right into her causing her to loose her footing. Lucy knew she was going down! Just before Lucy could hit the ground a strong but gentle force pulled her close. This took Lucy by surprise! as she looked up to thank her savior she heard a deep voice ask "are you okay?" Lucy knew this voice...........Bruce!

She quickly straighted herself up so that she was standing on her own feet. Then she finally spoke "y...yes I'm fine thank you very much"

Bruce looked at Lucy with a confused expression then asked " do you work here?"

Lucy looked down at her feet and sighed "yes."

" Then why are you standing in front of my door when you should be working?" feeling embarrassed Lucy finally said " I was actually on my way to inform you that your meeting with Mr. Jones (I just made him up) was moved to 8:00 instead of......" before she could finish Bruce had looked at his watch realizing that it was 7:50 he quickly stepped around Lucy and headed for the conference room as he walked away he turned around to say one final thing "what's your name?" she could hardly believe her ears then she managed to get it out "Lu....Lucy" then Bruce did something Lucy had never thought he could do...... he smiled.

"Thank you Lucy" then turned the corner.

Lucy was on cloud nine the rest of the day. She wasn't even upset when she was informed she would have to stay late to file documents that the newbie had filed wrong.

After all seeing him smile and hearing her name all in the same day what could be better than that? She knew if she didn't stop thinking about it soon she wouldn't be able to concrete on the files, but it's not like anyone was around and besides she is pretty good at what she does and knew she could have all the documents done in like 30 minutes.

So she let her mind wonder for just a little while.

Daydream........................

Bruce: Lucy I'm so proud of you, your work is always precise.

Lucy: I thought you didn't even know my name.

* Bruce looks deep into Lucy's big green eyes*

Bruce: How could I not know the name of the world's greatest sectary?

Before Lucy could finish her conversation with fantasy Bruce she was interpreted by one of her coworkers.

Sara: Okay Lucy I'm going home now.

Lucy: Is everyone gone already?

Sara: Ummm.....Yeah

Lucy: Wait.... what about Mr.Wayne?

Sara: He left a while ago.

Lucy: Oh well he could have at least said something.

Sara: He did but I think you were daydreaming.

Lucy: Oh.........

*Lucy looked down in embarrassment*

Sara: Don't worry, just be glad you looked cute while doing it

Sara smiled when she said this and it made her feel a little better.

Lucy: Heh.....yea thanks

Sara: Alright goodnight

Lucy: Oh okay see you tomorrow.

*About 35 minutes later*

Lucy finally finished her work and was headed home now.

(Lucy's inner thought): Well that took longer then I thought it would.

Lucy made her way to the front doors of the Wayne building, waving goodbye to the remaining people still in the building. She then made her way down the cold snowy street. Oh how she hated walking home alone, the streets were close to empty. Not only that but every night she had to walk pass one of the worst neighborhoods in all of Gotham. Most nights she could walk pass without a problem no one seemed to really notice her. As she made her way down the street she could hear faint voices coming from a near by ally. At first she paid it no mind but then they started to yell, then there was a loud gunshot. Lucy stopped dead in her tracks then decided she should get somewhere safe and call the police. She took a short cut though the park. Lucy knew if she did this she would be safer because just on the other side of the park was her apartment building.

But what Lucy didn't know was

........ she would never make it to the other side of the park.

So I've' decided to stop there I recently had a friend of mine read it and he thought it was awful, and said I shouldn't even publishes this but I wanted your insight so let me know if I should continue or destroy it with fire.
