42- cabin fun

"You guys can have whatever room you want. Most have their own bathroom." Charlie announces once we are all inside the massive house.

The house is just as gorgeous as the outside. Couches, paintings, a kitchen full of stainless steel appliances. A set of stairs on each end so they lead up to the hallway. There are ten bedrooms and two separate bathrooms. There's a pool and jacuzzi, and a movie theater room.

"I think I'm gonna share a room with Logan." Lacey says as we walk up the stairs.

"I figured." I laugh.

"You sharing a room with Nick? If not Catherine needs a room buddy. And Phillip can stay with Nick. Those two get a long pretty well." She says.

"They do." I agree. "But I was maybe going to stay in a room with Nick." I mention.

Lacey stops in her tracks and turns to look at me. "Really. Have you two...you know?"

"No. I mean we've almost...but no." I shake my head.

"Huh. You haven't told me that." Lacey frowns.

"I know. I'm sorry. It's not something I wanted to tell you at school or in public. And I definitively didn't want to text it to you." I shrug.

"I totally understand. Just make sure you are ready. Okay?" She says giving me a hug.

"I will." I reassure her.

Lacey gives me one last smile then heads off to find Logan.

Nick comes up beside me with a questioning look. I shake my head and tell him we will talk once we are in the room. Nick nods but I know he is concerned.

Once we are inside, we set our stuff down and Nick crosses his arms over his chest waiting for me to talk.

I sigh, "I told Lacey I wanted to share a room with you. I didn't tell her that we almost..."

"Oh." Nick says. "She's upset that you didn't?"

"No. She was just a little shocked that I didn't tell her sooner. Lacey and I have always told each other every thing. And I know what we do is between us but Lacey is protective over me. She just wants me to be sure." I explain the best I can.

Nick doesn't speak for a while. I can't tell if he's mad that I share that much with Lacey. Or if he's just processing. Nick knows that Lacey and I are close, we've been through a lot. And we recently just started being more open about Emily. I don't want to shut her out because I have a boyfriend.

"You're mad." I mutter setting down on the bed.

Nick comes over to sit down next to me. "I'm not mad, Taylor. Girls talk just like guys do. I have no problem with you sharing with Lacey. But maybe don't share it all. I love you and I want there to be things that only you and I have."

My heart stops.

Did he just...

He didn't.

I look at Nick and he has a smile on his face.

He did.

Oh my gosh.

"You...you love me?" I whisper.

"Yeah. I guess I do." He says.

"Nick."

"You usually don't call me that. My name sounds so foreign coming from your lips. But it does something to me." He says. "I love you, Taylor and I don't care if we've only been together about two months. Hell, I think I've loved you ever since you came to thank me for saving you from Johnny. You were so determined to get me to accept it. You weren't afraid of me. I liked it." He tells me.

I don't say anything, I just grab he back if his neck and pull him real close to me. "I love you too." I whisper then kiss the life out of him. I can't believe it. Batman loves me. He freakin loves me. And I love him. I didn't think I was there yet but what he just confessed made me realize it.

We pull back breathing pretty hard. Nick has that smirk on his face and those warm hazel eyes I love so much are dark.

"I do love you, Nick." I confirm.

Nick takes a deep breath, "I love you too, Taylor. Hearing you say those words makes me feel like I'm on top of the world." He kisses me again.

"You've really liked me all along, huh? You made me jump through hoops for months. And the whole time you had feelings for me. A part of me wishes I met you before I ever dated Johnny but the other part of me loves the way we met. Because you really are Batman." I laugh.

"I shouldn't like that nickname as much as I do but I can't help it. And yes like I told you before I've liked you for a long time. I didn't think you would ever go for someone like me. What is it Lacey calls me? Mr.Mysterious." He laughs.

"Yes she calls you that." I confirm. "I don't see why any girl wouldn't want you. You're the best guy I've ever met."

"You are pretty awesome too." He says.

We are about to kiss when a knock on the door interrupts us. "Come on you two. We are going to cook dinner and watch a movie!" Logan shouts from the other side.

Nick groans, "The only bad part about this place is we are not here alone. Now I know why you wanted me to bring my camping gear."

"Mhmm. But it wouldn't fit. Don't worry, we will have some alone time. Promise." I say giving him one more kiss.

"We better." Nick mumbles against my lips.

We hear another knock and Jay saying he will break down the door if we don't hurry up. Nick and I groan again but get up to go join our friends.

For the rest of the evening we cook pasta and watch comedy movies. Then Catherine busts out the board games and we play monopoly until two in the morning.

Eventually we all drag our tired butts to bed to get rested up for a full day of adventure. Apparently we will be hiking in the morning and afterwards the guys will be fishing while us girls will be going shopping. I don't see how we will get what we purchase into any of the cars since they were already loaded down from our stuff.

When the guys mentioned that very fact to us we all just shrugged and said we wouldn't buy to much. They knew we were lying the second we said it. They knew us too well.

After we went hiking the boys headed down to the lake to do some fishing while us girls headed into town for some shopping. I convinced Nick to let me take his car into town. I have been trying to convince him to let me drive it for a while now and he's always said no. But I gave him one hell of a make out session this morning and last night so he couldn't say no.

The six of us walked into a random little store that sold knick knacks and other things you would find in one of these little stores. I wasn't planning on buying anything but I already had three bags from the first store we went into. Most of them were souvenirs for my parents and brothers the others were things for me. Now I was on the hunt to find Nick something.

"I think we should cook for the boys tonight." Catherine suggests smelling a candle. I'm guessing it smells awful because she almost gags.

"I'm in." Jade says.

"Me too. But I suck at cooking. I can, however, set the table." Lacey says.

"I can make dessert." I say.

"I will do the dishes." Willa says.

"Catherine are you only suggesting this because you want to impress Phillip?" Micah asks as she holds up a random kids toy.

Catherine's cheeks become red, "Maybe."

"Cooking isn't the way to Phillip's heart." Lacey chimes in.

Catherine frowns. "Then what is?"

"Watching football." Lacey and I say at the exact same time.

Catherine groans.

"I watched a karate movie on my first date with Charlie. I may love to do karate but I don't enjoy watching it in a movie." Jade speaks up.

Micah scoffs, "Please, that's nothing. Olly took me to see a documentary about the desert. I fell asleep and drooled on his shoulder. He laughed it off but I was embarrassed."

We all burst out laughing.

"Logan took me to some random food truck and we both got food poisoning before the night was up." Lacey says still laughing.

"Jay taught me self defense. He said he was worried about me being on campus by myself." Willa said with a smile.

"Nick took me to a pool hall in the middle of no where. I thought he was going to kill me." I say. I remember when he first took me to Larry's Pool hall, I was so scared. My how things have changed since then. Now we go there once a week. Even though I like to think of that as our first date.

"See Catherine? We've all had to do things our boyfriends like that we don't. But by the end of it, we were all just glad to have spent time with them." Micah says.

"Fine. I will watch a football game with Phillip. Is there one on tonight?" Catherine gives in.

"Nope. It's off season. But I'm sure Phillip has a few games on his DVR. Just mention football and you're practically golden." I advice.

Once we are all done shopping us girls head back to the log house. Nick will be pleased that I took very good care of his car.

I was lying in bed waiting for him to get out of the shower. Somehow he and Charlie fell into the water. Apparently one of them hooked a really big fish and the other was trying to help him pull it in. Well long story short, the fish got mad and tugged real hard on the line causing both boys to fall into the water. I'm not sure if that is the truth or not but I decided not to ask any other questions. Those boys could spin quite the tale.

Nick finally emerges from the bathroom already dressed in a grey shirt and light wash jeans. Bummer. He comes over and flops down on the bed with a loud sigh. For a while neither of us talk. We are both to busy on our phones. I was in a group text with Carter and Xander who were both having girl problems.

Xander was apparently "harmlessly flirting" with a girl and Hanna did not find it funny in the slightest. So Xander was trying to come up with the best apology and needed my advice. I told him to suck it up and stop flirting harmless or not. Hanna knows about his reputation around campus so she needed to wined and dined big time. Xander wasn't happy but did like Hanna so he was going to do what needed to be done.

Carter, on the other hand, was in a mood one day and told Penny her drawing wasn't her best work. Penny then got upset because it was her time of the month. Carter then got freaked out because she told him about her period which caused Penny to get even more upset because Carter was acting too immature for an eighth grader. I wasn't sure how to fix that problem so I just told Carter to apologize to Penny and told him to be more sensitive next time.

I don't how my brothers got to be idiots but there was no way in hell I was becoming their relationship fixer. I had my own to maintain.

"You have been typing furiously over there." Nick asks turning on his side so he's looking at me.

I lock my phone and set it on the bed side table and turn towards him. "My brothers are screwing up in their relationships and texted me for advice."

"Ah. I didn't know you were good at that stuff." He jokes nudging my foot with his.

"I'm not. Xander and Carter think I am but I'm not." I agree.

"I was kidding, Tay." He says.

"I know but I wasn't. Since when do you call me 'Tay'?" I ask.

"It slipped out. I don't think I like it." Nick laughs.

"I don't either." I laugh.

"Do I still smell like pond water?" Nick asks.

I sniff him, "A little."

He groans and gets up and starts stripping out of his clothes. Before I know it he is down to his black boxers.

"Nick!" I squeal.

"What? Is this not turning you on?" He asks flexing all of his muscles.

"Yes!" I giggle. Next thing I know is him jumping on the bed and then coming to lay on top of me. "Hello." I continue to giggle.

"Hey babe." He says then kisses me. I return the kiss without any hesitation. Oh how I love doing that. Nick pulls away right when it starts getting good. I pout. "Don't pout, cutie. There will be plenty of that tonight." He winks and gives me one more kiss before going back into the bathroom in attempt to get the pond smell off of him.

Pond smell, please leave my insanely hot boyfriends body. I want to get laid tonight. K, thanks.
