41-my batman

"Where is this place again?" I asked Nick for the fifteenth time.

Nick rolls his eyes at me in annoyance, "Bear Lake."

I nodded my head and typed 'Bear Lake' into the search bar on Google. Charlie and Catherine's parents owned a big lake house there and Charlie invited us all to go for a weekend of fun.

"Have you been there before?"

"Nope. Mr.Barron brought it back in January. Charlie and Catherine have only been up there a few times. They say it's a log house with its own movie theater, pool and jacuzzi." Nick tells me while looking through a comic book.

"So, it's like their home but in log version." I point out.

"Pretty much." He mumbles.

"Why are you looking through the comic book that you got for Carter?" I sigh. This dude and his comic books.

Nick shrugs a shoulder, "I paid twenty-five bucks for this, I at least get to check it out before I give it to him."

The other day Nick and I were hanging out in town and he dragged me into this vintage comic book store where he found the one comic book that Carter didn't own. So my boyfriend decided to get it for him. I'm sure he was making sure he and Carter were still buds, although I'm sure that is one bromance that will never die.

"You could be checking me out." I mumble under my breath.

Nicks head shoots up. Crap he heard me.

"I check you out all the time. Even if it doesn't seem like it." He says still flipping through the book.

I narrow my eyes, "No you don't. I think I would notice if you did that."

"You don't notice. In fact I'm doing it right at this very moment." He says with confidence.

"Prove it." I demand.

I see the smirk come across his stupid yet cute face. "Your boobs are moving up and down as you breathe. I know that you are currently wearing a push up bra, I think it's that black one you brought while at the mall with Lacey last week."

Shit. He's totally right.

"The shorts you are wearing have ridden up your thighs showing off your very nice yet somehow tan in the late winter legs. And I also noticed the pale pink toenail polish that makes me want to consider having a foot fetish." He continues.

My jaw is on the floor. That perv!

Nick looks at me and chuckles at my current state of shock. "See? I check you out constantly and most of the time it's without you paying any attention."

I cross my arms over my chest and huff. "What, not gonna guess the color and type of underwear I have on?"

Nick hums in thought, "Black and they don't cover up your entire ass." He sounds so sure.

He should, because he is absolutely right. Oh my gosh. My boyfriend is a classified pervert.

"I'm impressed." I say.

Nick sighs and tosses the comic book on the coffee table in front of the couch. He was waiting for me in my living room when I got home from cheer practice. We've been chilling on the couch ever since. I would have suggested we go to up to my room but the last time we were in there we almost had sex. Like we came so close to doing, the only thing stopping us was our underwear. That was two weeks ago and we haven't had another chance since then. Sure we were currently alone but my dad and Carter would be coming home soon.

"Do we get to share a room when we go to Bear Lake?" I asked Nick while putting my legs across his lap.

Nicks hands immediately went to my legs and started rubbing them. "Um. I'm not sure what the room situation will be. I figured you and Lacey would share a room."

I close my eyes at the sensation of his hands rubbing my legs. "Oh." I didn't even try to hide my disappointment. I was hoping to share a room with him. He is my boyfriend after all and I would like to sleep in the same bed.

"I just thought you wouldn't want to share a room with me in a house with all of our friends, that's all." Nick says trying to defend himself.

"No I get it. If we slept in the same room they would think we were doing more than just sleeping." I tell him.

Nick sighs and grabs my legs to pull me into his lap. I let out a squeal at his sudden action. "You're upset. I want to sleep in the same bed with you but I thought since we had that slip you wouldn't want too."

I sometimes hate how much of a gentleman he is.

"You're such a great boyfriend." I mumble giving him a kiss on the cheek. "My Batman."

Nick doesn't say anything. He just puts his lips over mine, almost touching but not quite. I loved when he did this, it literally drove me over the edge. But at this moment I was kind of impatient so I just closed the small space between us and kissed him.

Nick groans in appreciation and wraps an arm around my waist to pull me closer. My arms go around his neck. We kiss for a good while before we hear the door open and jump apart so no one sees us in such a intimate position.

My dad and Carter come into the living room. "Hey Taylor, Nick." He greets and hands us each a cup that I know is from Waffle Cones.

"Hey dad. Thanks." I smile.

"Yeah, Thanks Mr.Croft. Oh and Carter this is for you." Nick says getting g the comic book off of the coffee table and handing it to him.

Carters eyes light up with excitement, "Thanks dude!"

"Your welcome." Nick says.

"Are you kids planning out your trip?" Dad asks us as he sits down in his recliner.

I did the smart and adult thing and asked my parents if I could go on this weekend get away with Nick and his friends. I made sure to explain it very thoroughly so they knew I wasn't leaving any details out. I've done that before and have gotten grounded so this time I was doing the right thing. Go, Taylor!

My parents gave me permission to go but did tell me to make good and wise decisions. They said it would be good for me to go somewhere for a weekend. I think it may be like a reward for me doing so well these past few months. Mom and dad were seeing positive changes in me and I could tell they were proud.

"Yep. Charlie sent Nick a few photos and the place is breathtaking. I can't wait." I say in excitement.

"I did some research and there are actual bears out there. And with spring being right around the corner, I'm telling you to be aware and be careful." Dad advices.

"We will be, sir." Nick nods to my dad.

"Hey guys!" Mom greets coming in the door caring pizza. "Jordan, a little help please!" She yells to my dad.

"Coming!" He says then leaves the living room.

"I'm really excited for this trip." Nick says as he puts his arm around me.

"Me too. Do you think one night you and I can sleep in a tent?" I ask.

"Sure. But can I ask why?" He says raising a brow.

"I want to see you set up a tent again. And I think sleeping in one with you will be a fun experience." I say.

"We can do that. I was planning on bringing it anyways." He confirms.

Yes, you caught me. I want to see him set up a tent. The first time he did it was something I enjoyed very much. Only this time, I plan on sleeping in the tent with him. In a house full of people, we may need a place we can call our own little privacy area.

———-

It took us three cars to carry every one and all of our belongings to Bear Lake. The drive was three hours and not everyone can hold their bladder for that long. And by everyone I mean Lacey, Jay and Micah. Those three peed so much on the way there. Not to mention all the stops we have to make for snacks. A three hour drive turned into six hours. I was more than excited when we finally made it to the house.

Nick drove the bat-mobile which I was very excited about, his car was the best one. Charlie drove his car and Olly drove his. Lacey and Logan rode with Nick and I. Jade, Catherine and Phillip -yes we brought him along- rode with Charlie. Phillip wanted to ride with us but Catherine batted her eyes and gave a pouty face that had Phillip saying yes. Jay rode up with Micah and Olly. No he hasn't found a girlfriend yet but Olly did invite his study partner. Her name was Willa and she was insanely smart. The two went on one date but Jay had his work cut out for him.

The log house was huge and set in a very secluded section of Bear Lake. There were pine trees everywhere and of course it had its own lake. I could see smoke coming out of the chimney, perfect for a rainy day. Charlie mentioned that the couple who stays here and manages the place did the shopping and cleaning in advanced so the house would be ready for when we got here. I have never had this kind of treatment before but if I stayed friends with Charlie and Catherine I was sure this was only the beginning.

Nick has told me a few things that Charlie has invited him along. And let's just say they are some fancy ass trips.

"This place is beautiful." Micah says as she gets out of the car.

I hear Lacey and Logan gasp next to me. Jay whistles.

Nick and I say wow in unison.

"It's big." Catherine says out loud. She has seen the place before but I think it's size still shocks her.

"I still can't believe mom and dad bought this place. We used to look at it every time we came up here. Dad said he'd buy it one day and he did." Charlie says to no one in particular. Their father never seems to stop surprising his children.

"Well, let's enjoy this place why don't we." Jay says as he goes over to Olly's car to get his bags.

"Jay is right. We've got this place for the entire weekend. Let's unload all of our stuff." Charlie agrees and goes to get his stuff with Jade following him.

Logan and Nick go over to get our stuff while Lacey and I just stand there. Phillip comes over to stand next to us.

"How was the car ride?" Lacey waggles her brows.

Phillip smiles, "Catherine is a talker but she seems like a good one."

"You like her, don't you?" I ask.

"I'm not sure yet, I think she's gorgeous and I'm liking her personality so far. I just don't want to get ahead of myself. The girls I've previously talked to seem just like that but then they change once they know the real me. I just want to make sure she isn't like that. I've been burned before, you both know that." He explains with a frown.

"Catherine might surprise you." Lacey says.

Phillip nods then heads back over to where Catherine is. He takes her suitcase and his so she doesn't have to carry it. Now that is sweet. I hear Lacey awe beside me.

"Cheerleader!" I hear nick yell. I quickly run over to him. "You've packed more than enough, but I don't think I can carry it all by myself."

I roll my eyes at him. "Give me something to carry." Nick hands me one of my bags and I know it's the lightest one. "You don't always have to be a gentleman, you know."

"I'm aware. But keep what you said in mind for later." He winks and walks past me.

Oh I know exactly what that means.
