Quinn slid back under the tree at school after a hard maths class "so how was maths?" Asked Leo from above her, this time she didn't jump
"Terrible maths sucks!" She cried running her hair through her temporary, wavy, brown hair
"You have Tim in your next class though!" Leo cried
"Yeah I suppose, I have a special history class today wonder what that's about?" She said as the bell rang "well gotta go! see ya monkey!" She said standing up but Leo stopped Her
"Monkey?" He questioned
"Yeah because you always hang upside down" she smirked and walked off

"Now class we will be doing about villains today! Most importantly our most worse... Harley Quinn and the joker" said the teacher who's name Quinn didn't care to learn. Quinn froze and looked to Tim who sat next to her and he looked equally uneasy
"Tim I haven't seen their faces since I left" she whispered her voice shaky, Tim gulped
"It'll be ok I'm here" he whispered
"So tell me class something about these two" the teacher asked
"They're monsters" shouted one boy
"They kill people" cried a girl
"They're pure evil!" Yelled another each word hit Quinn like a train then to make matters worse the teacher put up a picture of her parents grinning madly as they held weapons clad with blood... she knew that grin, it was her grin she lifted her hand and rubbed her shoulder as a memory came to her unfortunately Tim noticed
"What's wrong?" He asked concerned
"Phantom pain"
"From when?!" He whispered
"When I was target practice when I was 12" she replied but said no more, she placed her hand back on the table but it was shaking as she stared into joker's eyes, her eyes. She felt Tim grab her hand to stop it from shaking. The rest of the class went not so smoothly Quinn wanted To scream but Tim had to control her by playing Noughts and crosses.
Of course the teacher told them off and the students laughed because they held hands.

But it wasn't over

Phoenix walked into the lounge her hair now white to see the team relaxing after a mission
"I mean that joker is a creep!" Artemis cried, Quinn tensed but sat down and she made Eye contact with Tim who looked sympathetic
"And Harley Quinn I hate her grin it's so creepy! If I saw someone with that grin I would turn and run (if I wasn't a hero)" said Wally that hurt Quinn a lot she was just starting to grin more, she pulled up her bandana from around her neck
" I also agree they are horrid especially joker's eyes just a source of pure evil!" M'gann agreed
Tim clapped his hands together and everyone looked at the time and gasped "Batman will be here soon!" Connor said but Quinn didn't care all she could hear were the word floating around her head like a hurricane she walked off and as soon as she had passed the corner she ran until she found the gym and she could make out footsteps behind her.

Batman looked at all the kids to find two missing
"Where's Robin and Phoenix?" He demanded
"Uh Phoenix walked out and she seemed upset and Robin ran after her" Kaldur answered looking at his feet he didn't want to look at Batman, they were unorganised!
"Well you have a mission and I would like for you to wait in the conference room I'll find the others" he said and as soon as the others were out of sight he ran around the corner and ran until he found Robin and together they walked into the gym, they found the teenager in a dark corner crying into her knees.
Father and son knelt down next to her and wrapped her into a hug "hey what's wrong?" Asked Bruce softly, Quinn raised her head revealing her shiny green eyes
"Um at school they did a lesson where basically they trash talked her parents and the team did the same but they talked about their features" Tim answered Batman sighed
"I-m-my eyes are evil! I don't want to be like them...I-i don't want people to be scared of me"She whispered her voice cracking Tim scowled
"No they are not! They are only scary on the joker because he is evil it is the wearer not the eyes" Bruce reassured he too wore a scowl.
"And it's the same with your grin because you are amazing so is your grin because on you it's beautiful" Tim said and Quinn put her head on his shoulder and Bruce sighed
"I was going to give this to you later but you need it now" he said and pulled out one of Alfred's cookies, her eyes widened and she grabbed it before muttering a thank you. It was gone in two seconds.

"Why do you think she was upset?" Asked Kaldur as they sat around the table Everyone looked up from their own little conversations
"I don't know but more importantly why did Robin go after her?" Asked Conner
"Do you think he has a crush on her or something?" Said Wally grinning everyone scoffed but then stopped when they thought about it. But their thoughts interrupted when Robin, Batman and Phoenix walked in
"So we have a mission! You need to find....James he has information we have word he has joined a group of thieves and is at the 'secret' thief tavern ." He explained wincing at the name James this didn't go unnoticed and neither did Robin moving away from Phoenix before she burst into flames everyone raised their eyebrows
"Phoenix please calm down" Batman demanded yet his voice was soft and sympathetic after a few minutes she obeyed.
"Phoenix you are ready to go so long as you don't use your powers or kill James... you will go in disguise as kids of villains but not well known ones ok?" Batman informed before leaving after placing a file on the table.
"Ok suit up" said kaldur
