Quinn was at the mountain waiting for Batman to finish interrogating a prisoner, she checked the time on her phone when she got a message from jack via Damian's phone

~ hey sis just wanted to let you know that I am going out to explore I'll be safe I promise xxx ~

She smiled and looked up to see Batman emerge
"So?" She asked
"There will be a shipment of those bombs, the beings should come down and a man on this side will be there too. We need apprehend one of them preferably a being/alien, the shipment will be delivered in 4 hours and it will be heavily guarded so a few of us will come with you" he explained before leaving dramatically.
"Well we better get... to eating I'm hungry" KF said and sped to the kitchen and the others followed him in
"We got any cookies?" Quinn asked hopefully
"No but we can make some together! It'll take a hour" M'gann said pulling out the ingredients.
After an hour of slipping on eggs, eating the mixture and flour explosions they managed to make a big batch.
"Oh my god I love them! I definitely carried that" Quinn laughed and Meg pushed her shoulder lightly.
"Ok I'm out! Be here in 3 hours" Quinn said before leaving
"Cya Phoenix!" Came a chorus of voices, she entered the zeta and felt her body turning into nothing and then everything and then herself.

Quinn walked out of her room in ripped jeans and a black shirt her green hair in two buns on either side of her head. She locked the front door and headed to her favourite cafe and grabbed a few frappes, then headed towards the house . She ended up at a nice house with a small balcony covered in plants, she sighed in sadness being reminded of poison ivy who therefore reminded her of rogue, she shook her head and headed to the garage she knocked on the grated metal and  a few seconds later she heard a metallic noise, the door rolled slowly up and a friendly face came out
"Thought I told you not to come" he joked
"I have frappes" she said and he looked at her hands
"Come in!" He said and she rolled her eyes, the garage was nice enough it had band posters here and there, black acoustic foam on the walls, there was a set of new drums, two guitars and several microphones. Standing against the wall was Johnathan by the mini fridge and next to him was grey on his phone.
"Hey guys!" She said and they looked up and smiled at the new comer
"Hey Quinn how are yo- are those frappes?!" Grey asked and she nodded handing him one "thanks!"
"Sooooo what's your favourite song of ours?" Johnathan taking a frappe and patting her head, she raised an eyebrow but let him do it.
"Oh!...'go to hell' I like that one" she said taking a frappe and handing the other one to miles
"You Uh...know the words?" Grey asked suspiciously sipping his drink but keeping his eyes on her
"Yes whyyyy?" She asked cautiously the boys grinned before grabbing their instruments, the song started to play but no one looked ready to sing then Miles chucked her a microphone and mouthed the words "sing" Quinn looked at him shocked but when the cue to sing started she just started to sing and just got so involved in it she sang the entire thing.
She looked up to see the boys staring at her wide eyed
"What?" She asked placing down the mic and replacing it with her frappe, Miles got up from the drums and placed his hands on her shoulders making her flinch slightly
"You were AMAZING! I didn't know you could sing that good!" He cried and Quinn laughed
"Good joke but I can't sing" she said ruffling his hair and sipping her drink
"No he isn't joking you're really good!" Johnathan exclaimed "here I filmed it" he said and took the camera from a tripod she hadn't seen, he hooked it up to his laptop and a video of her singing played and she was shocked "I-uh wow that's me!?" Miles chuckled and hugged her from behind and placing his chin on her head, she continued to sing and they recorded more videos until she was exhausted.
"How long I been here?" She asked sitting on the mini fridge
"Two hours nearly three" grey said taking out a monster from the fridge she sat on.
"Well then I've got to go!" She said
"Ok cya Sherlock!" Miles said giving her a hug which the two boys then joined
"Ok I've got a go now! Let me out!" She shouted from her human prison she tried wiggling out but the grabbed in one more hug
"I know I'm amazing and irresistible but man!" She cried as she left

Quinn headed to the mountain via the zeta tube and was met by chaos, KF and Artemis were trying to kill each other, superboy and Robin were arguing and Megan and Aqualad were trying to stop them but failing miserably.
"HEY!" She screamed and they all stopped abruptly "CALM THE HELL DOWN!" She strode over as pulled Artemis of KF and shoved Robin onto the sofa away from superboy.
"Now we need to calm down" she said calmly and the others sulked onto the sofa
"Where you been?" Aqualad asked as he grabbed some coffee
"With some friends" she said simply and she sat down, but alarm went off alerting them to get ready.

There were at a run down, abandoned warehouse by happy harbour bank, The YJ sat up top on the support beams with hawkgirl and green lantern.
The doors swung open and a hooded figure came through with about 20 guards behind him holding odd guns that looked like a PC keyboard, they waited nervously for the aliens and Quinn was sure superboy could hear everyone's heart beats.
On the ground in front of wooden boxes a swirl of lights made a mini hurricane and temporarily blinded them, when their eyes cleared some odd beings stood where the lights were. They had Red skin with green eyes that glowed, they had lion's legs (so four). Quinn had to stop herself from laughing out loud when she saw the odd beings, the aliens walked over to the boxes and pulled out a box of small discs each one a bomb. The lead alien walked to the mysterious man and pulled out human money. a lot.
Ok I have a plan... Phoenix, Robin and KF take out the guards, miss Martian go for the man with Artemis. Superboy, me and hawkgirl we go for the aliens
Came green lantern's voice in their heads, they all nod and wait for the signal. The signal was set and they charged, Quinn took out six guards but when the seventh came he grabbed her by the throat and squeezed she could see black dots speckling her vision
You know I could use some help! I did last time she thought and luckily Robin knocked the guy out, she sucked in air before she moved to another guy who swiped at her with a knife it touched her ever so slightly and searing pain went through her as her side was burned like a piece of toast (that was a metaphor her side didn't look like toast) she took a few hits to the ribs and face before she broke the guy's arm. She looked around to see Robin and KF finishing of the last of the guards. Green lantern and the others were trying to catch an alien in a green cage but they were fast and vicious
What happened to the guy? She asked
He got away but not with out an arrow to the side Artemis replied before she was sent flying into a cardboard box. Quinn ran to help her up, she then shot a fireball at one of the aliens making it roar and charge towards her head on
Uh oh was all she could think was before she was knocked back into a wall, she heard her leg snap and felt the pain that accompanied it but the most disturbing thing was that she felt blood. lots of it, she tried to get up but a wave of vertigo hit her and she went back down and into a unconscious state.

Robin heard and 'oh oh' in his head and he span to face Phoenix and his eyes widened as he saw her get thrown into a wall, her leg twisted unnaturally and the skin broke revealing her snapped bone sticking out, he wanted to vomit but he threw explosive after explosive at the alien which eventually stumbled to the ground. Robin saw his sister try to get up but she fell down and he knew then she was in deep trouble, he ran forward towards her and slid on his knees the rest of the way
"Phoenix?!" He cried and tried to shake her awake
Guys have you apprehended one yet? He asked nervously placing her head on his lap
No but one's dead so that'll do... why? Came M'gann's voice
Because we have a medical emergency, guys it's bad really bad...there's blood everywhere he said choking back a sob

They had just finished one of the aliens when the lights appeared again taking the others away, they cursed and M'gann collected some of the explosives carefully and handed them to hawkgirl who placed them in an airtight bag. They heard Robin talk over the mind link and they froze, everyone looked at everyone to see who was missing. Phoenix. They span around frantically until they spotted Robin hunched over something, the heroes ran across the filthy floor to find Phoenix lying unconscious on the floor with her leg split open and the bone peaking out
"Oh my god!" Artemis cried and the others gasped, well except Wally he was throwing up in the corner like a true hero. Green lantern inhaled sharply before creating a stretcher
"G-get her on the stretcher but be careful" he instructed, hawkgirl and Robin lifted her slowly onto the pure energy.
They ran to the ship and Robin sat by Phoenix who started to stir and arch her back in pain after about eight minutes
"She's waking up!" Robin cried and Aqualad rushed over
"Have we got any sedatives?" He asked Robin shakes his head and looks to the others
"No wait I do! A trick arrow" Artemis exclaimed and pulled out an arrow with a syringe on the end filled with an orange liquid ( so I'm pretty sure sedatives aren't orange but... why the hell not?)
She pulled off the syringe and plunged it into Quinn's arm making her jerk, she opened her eyes
"It's always me!" She muttered before blacking out.

Batman and the rest of the JL waited at the mountain for the kids and the others to arrive
"I don't like waiting... why did we send kids to fight aliens?!" Flash said pacing
"They'll be ok right? I know Artemis isn't my niece but she's like one if she's hurt..." green arrow said at that moment they heard m'gann's voice in their heads
We have some alien DNA but...there's a casualty, Batman it's Phoenix.... she uh it's bad... her leg is... get the med bay ready
Batman jumped up along with the others, they all looked at each other worried.
They ran to the landing strip for the plane, they felt the air shift and they stood back they heard a thud as the invisible ship landed. The ship soon became visible and the heroes ran out of the ship surrounding a green stretcher that floated in the air, the JL ran forward to see Phoenix sprawled out her leg bloody and gross.

They rushed her to the med bay where Manhunter pushed the bone back in place
"Diana start wrapping her leg up with bandages quick!" He ordered as he used a sort of paste to hold the bone back, once the wound was wrapped up they checked her burn
"How did This happen?" Manhunter asked as he added a cream to it
"I don't know all I saw was a guard nick her with his knife right there" Robin explained Manhunter frowned before nodding
"Ok maybe a thermal knife?" Cyborg pondered but then Quinn squirmed and her eyes opened slowly
"Frick! Did we do it?" She asked lazily and Manhunter raised the bed so she could see everyone
"Yeah we got some DNA and the explosives but your leg's busted up" Superboy said crossing his arms
"Why is it always me who gets hurt? Maybe I'm that amazing that they hurt me the most" she joked causing a few chuckles and a few facepalms
"We should let you rest. Come on guys" said Barry before giving her a small hug, everyone left except Robin and Batman who looked at her with mixed emotions Quinn squirmed under their looks
"I'm sorry?" She said her face higher and her face scrunched up, Robin sighed and held her hand protectively whereas Bruce collapsed on the chair
"We're not mad... but you need to be more careful" Tim said squeezing her hand she sighed
How am I supposed to be more careful?! I got hit by a freaking lion that weighs a ton!
"Oh ok next time I'll be sure to ask them not to throw me into a wall" she said and Bruce gave her a look
"Less of the sarcasm young lady... your leg will take a week to heal enough for you to be able to walk on it so no missions" he said and Quinn cried out
"What do you mean no missions?! I need to help with the aliens! You have got to be fricking kidding me here!"
"No I'm not! Now because you have to get injured every two minutes you are going to be on bed rest. Again. And if you get bored do something! Don't try sneak out but I guess you can't do that because of your leg... and no bribing or blackmailing your brothers!" He ordered before grabbing some crutches from the corner
"You'll have to use these, now come on! God your brothers are going to kill you" Bruce muttered and Quinn sighed before clutching onto the crutches
"Wait! Did you bring me any clothes?" She asked and the men stopped
"Oops?" Tim said and Quinn rolled her eyes before trying to stand just to fall flat on her face
"Ow" she muttered her voice muffled by the floor
"Pffftttt!" Tim laughed and she kicked him with her good leg, Bruce helped her up and they stumbled out of the infirmary and into the zeta tubes.

They walked through the front door with Quinn on crutches and her four brothers looked up
"What the hell happened now?!" Jason cried getting up with the other as they started to fuss over her
"A criminal wanted my money and whilst we were arguing his buddy hit me in the leg with a sledgehammer and the bone literally poked out!" She cried before heading to her room to avoid their wrath.
After a few hours of lying on her bed drawing one of the aliens she got a text from her buddy

Quinn laughed before answering the call and transferring it to the tv she never used that was on the wall opposite her.
"Hey guys how are you?" She asked waving at all the faces on the screen
"Peter is being a painnnnn" Naomi whined "he won't stop spamming me!"
Quinn laughed
"Peter stop or I'll hunt you down!" She warned and he held his hands up in defence but she frowned someone was missing
"Guys where's grey?" She asked and the others got excited confusing her further
"Ok so it's a his birthday soon and we want to throw him a party which he's been hinting at for a while!" Miles said doing some jazz hands
"Oh that's so cool!" She said and the others looked at her expectingly
"Well are you coming?!" Johnathan asked rolling his eyes and Quinn was shocked
They want me there?!
"Y-you want me there?!" She asked incredulous and the others frowned like it was obvious
"Well yeah! Heck grey has been saying 'sooo when's my party? Will Quinn be there? Tell me she'll be there! I want her and us to sing!'" Miles chuckled and Quinn blushed at the fact they wanted her there but then her heart sank as she looked at her leg
"I'm so sorry it I can't come my leg is all busted up" she said her face sad and the others frowned before looking at her bandaged leg
"What happened?!" Sophie cried and Quinn sighed
"Long story short, I got mugged and they hit my leg with a sledgehammer and the bone was sticking out!" She said casually, for her this wasn't a big deal
"that's gross!" Jason gagged and Quinn smirked
"Shame you can't come!" Miles said sadly, and Quinn's heart dropped and she felt sad
"Ok I'm a ask Bruce! BRUCE COME HERE PLEASE!" She yelled hoping he wasn't in the cave. After about 5 minutes Bruce walked through the door in jeans and a denim jacket
"Yes? Child who is always getting themselves injured?" He joked sitting on the bed
"Hey! I don't always get injured!" She defended
"How many times have you been injured in the past year?!" Bruce asked and Quinn thought for a moment counting on her fingers
"8!" She said triumphantly before pouting
"Exactly! Anyway why am here?" He exclaimed
"Well.... my friend's birthday is soon and I was wondering if I could go to the party?" She asked shyly and Bruce sighed
"What is it with you and bed rest? Kid you can't walk!" He cried and Quinn groaned
"Please I have my crutches what's the worst that could happen?!" She questioned Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose
"You could get mugged again?!" He said exclaimed
"We would be there Mr Bruce sir!" Miles offered nervously, Bruce turned to them and sighed
"Look kids...no! I'm sorry but I need to keep her safe" he concluded and Quinn's heart sank but then she had a lightbulb moment
"Could we have the party here?" She asked hopefully and gave Bruce puppy eyes
".... Ok but you all have to clean up afterwards I'm not having Alfred do it" he said sternly before kissing her forehead and leaving.
After the call Jack walked into the room and smiled at her softly as she got ready for bed.

Quinn woke up after the same nightmare and looked to her brother to check he was ok, she walked into the bathroom and splashed water on her face when something caught her eye. She crouched down by the bin and turned over some cotton buds that were caked In blood.

"What on earth?!" She muttered
