Touko x Popular Female Reader

[Non requested idea]

Touko's POV

As I sat outside in the courtyard eating lunch with my friends in Morfonica, I couldn't help but stare at her, and feel a bit jealous. Her name is (Y/N) (L/N), and believe it or not, she is a new transfer who ended up being more popular than me. It sucks because I was the popular one, and now, she has to show up and take that from me.

"Someone looks like they're about to pop a blood vessel." Rui said, taking a sip of her tea.

"Do I make it look that obvious?" I asked as my face turned red a bit.

"Is it that new girl being more popular than you?" Nanami asked.

"Yeah..."

"I always never thought you were the type to be jealous over something like that." Mashiro said.

"If you ask me, you're getting upset over nothing." Rui sighed at me.

"This is not nothing, though." I said. "At this rate, I'm going to lose all the popularity I've gain over the years."

"Well, popularity isn't always a good thing, you know."  Tsukushi said.

"I know, but still..."

"Why don't you check her out on social media and see if she doesn't have more followers than you." Nanami suggested as a big grin spread across my face.

"Yeah, good idea."

I pulled out my phone and checked social media.

"Let's see..."

I managed to find her social media page and my jaw drop to the ground when I saw it. I just couldn't believe it... If this is a dream then someone please wake me up.

"Well, did you find it?" Tsukushi asked.

"Y-Yeah, I did." I replied, stuttering.

"How much followers does she have?" Nanami asked.

"Well..." was all I simply respond before showing her page to everyone else. Just like me, they were left speechless.

"Oh my, that's twice as much followers as you do." Mashiro said.

"And twice as much posts, too." Nanami said.

"How does she do it?" Tsukushi asked.

"From what I understand, being dedicated on social media is the best way to get attention." Rui said.

"If that is the case, then (Y/N)-chan must have a lot of free time on her hands." Mashiro said.

"Oh that is it!" I said before standing up, putting on my school shoes and stormed off.

"Touko-chan! Where are you going?" Tsukushi asked.

"I'm going to confront (Y/N)!" I shouted a response.

Your POV

I was outside eating lunch with some friends as I saw someone coming towards me. It was Touko from Morfonica. I was actually happy that she wanted to come near me, but I could tell that she wasn't happy to see me.

"There you are!" She snapped.

"Umm, is everything okay?" I asked.

"No, everything is not okay!" Touko replied, throwing her issues onto me like a Karen.

"Oh, what's the matter?" I asked.

"First off, how is it that you're more popular than me?" She asked.

"Well, umm..." I was about to say, but then one of my friends stepped in.

"She's only popular because one of the teachers is her mother, and both of them are nice." She answered.

"You do realize that I can speak for myself, right?"

"Oh, sorry (Y/N)-chan."

"And I have another question I would like to ask you." Touko asked as the anger in eyes got more intense.

"Okay, what is it?"

"How the hell are you more popular than me on social media?" She asked as she showed me my social media page and put it in front of my face.

"It's only because I'm dedicated to social media like the other things in my life." I replied.

"For that matter, why are you asking me all of these questions?" I asked.

"If you ask me, I think she's just jealous." One friend responded.

"Yeah, she's only like that because she is not that popular anymore." The other friend replied.

"Hey, I'm not jealous!"

"I don't know about that..." One said.

"You looked pretty jealous to me."

My friends continued to laugh at her, but that made me even more angry.

"Hey, stop it!" I demanded.

"(Y/N)-chan?"

"You really shouldn't make fun of Touko-chan that." I said. "Even if I'm more popular than her, it doesn't change the fact she has influenced so many others."

"(Y/N)..."

"Now if you don't mind..." I said, got up and headed over to Touko. "I think I am going to go have lunch with Touko-chan and her friends."

"Really? You don't mind?"

"Not at all." I said. "I see how close you are them, and I've been meaning to ask if I could join you."

I noticed a big smile spread across Touko's face.

"Oh yeah, you should totally join us." She said.

And so, I walked away with Touko and headed over to her friends, leaving my so-called toxic friends behind. I don't know what I was thinking, though. They only liked me for my popularity status, but by hanging out with Touko and her friends, I have a feeling that I am going to enjoy this school a lot.

The end

A/N: And we have reached the end of this one-shot. Thank you so much for reading, and I hoped you guys liked it. Okay, I'm going to let you in on a little secret here. The female reader in this story is actually based on someone I knew half of my life. She was popular, but she was never mean. She was sweet, and my mom ended up being close with her mom. I won't say her name, but I just wanted to give you an idea about the people I knew irl.

See you in the next one-shot and have a good one.
