Your POV

People say I am hard to read. Hard to understand. But that is okay, because of this, no one really hangs out with me that much. Although, there is one person that does want me around. Even though she doesn't understand me, she tried to be there for me, and that is what really counts. My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and this is my story.

My story begins with me hanging out with my best friend, Hikawa Sayo. She didn't have to meet up with Roselia today, so we decided to take this chance to hang out. I was beginning to think about something, but I don't think Sayo has noticed yet.

"Do you think you're free next month?" Sayo asked while walking.

"I think so." I replied. "Does Roselia have a show coming up?"

"Indeed. Not only it'll make everyone happy, but it'll make me happy, as well." Sayo replied with a smile.

"Oh, well, then I should be able to make it, for you." I said, smiling as well.

While walking some more, I spotted some flowers nearby. I decided to pick one up and gave it to Sayo, or... tried to at least.

"Here, Sayo. I think this flower suits you well." I said.

"Thanks, but I don't need it." She said bluntly. "I swear... you do this everytime we try to hang out. What are you thinking about?"

"Oh, umm... nothing." I replied.

The thing is, I have a crush on Sayo. I liked her ever since we started hanging out. Sayo tried to get me to expose my feelings to her, but I kept my feelings to myself.

"Look, (Y/N)-kun, if you have something you want to say to me, you can say it. I want to know what you're thinking." Sayo said as she changed her mood. Well, after rejecting the flower I tried to give her, what would be the point?

"It's nothing." I said.

Soon we arrived at Sayo's place, said our farewells, and I walked away.

Location - Hikawa Residence, Sayo's Room

Sayo's POV

(Y/N) is a good person and he is sweet and all, but sometimes, it feels like I don't understand anymore. What happened to that sweet guy I once knew years ago? And the way he tried to give me that flower... the way he did it makes it look like he was in love with me or something.

"Wait, in love...?" I thought out loud.

I think I got it, (Y/N) might be in love with me, which explains why he tried to give me that flower. But... why is he in love with me? I'm not exactly easy to approach, unlike Hina who can approach me with ease. But (Y/N)... I want to know what he is thinking when he decided to have feelings for me, but...

"*sigh* Now what do I do?" I asked myself.

Instead of stressing about this, I decided to take my mind off of it by playing the guitar. Maybe I should stay being friends with (Y/N) until I know for sure, then confront to him about it later.

A month later...

Your POV

During this last month, I was still trying my best to show my feelings to Sayo, and every time I do, she's just shuts me down. It feels like hitting the replay button on that day. However, Sayo stayed silent instead of getting mad. I know I am one to talk, but I can't seem to figure her out.

When her Roselia performance came to an end on that day, though, Sayo asked me to join her in one of CiRCLE's studio rooms for a private conversation. I wonder what she could want.

"Sayo, what did you want to talk about?" I asked.

She hesitated for a bit.

"(Y/N)-kun, are you in love with me?" She asked.

"Umm... w-what gave you that idea?" I asked nervously.

"It's just... I've been noticing you're doing so show your feelings, but everytime I ask you, you don't say anything, which made it hard to understand what you're thinking." She explained.

"Oh, well..."

"Please, (Y/N)-kun, I want you to be honest with me. Tell exactly what you're thinking about!"

Then I noticed something I never thought I would see: Sayo crying. Seeing her cry like this was beginning to break my heart. I walked closer to her and started wiping her tears.

"You're right, Sayo. I am in love with you." I said.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I wasn't... sure if you felt the same way about me, so I did all of this, hoping to win you over." I explained.

"Oh... so that's what was on your mind..."

"It is, but it's okay that you don't love me back. I can take a hint."

I start to leave the room as there was nothing else for me to say. But then, she got in front of me and kissed me softly on the lips. I start to blush, and Sayo was smiling.

"You silly, I really like you a lot." She said.

"You do? Since when?"

"Since we first met, of course."

So Sayo liked me since the day we met? What are the chances of that happening? Nevertheless, I am happy that she likes me back.

"Well then, if you don't mind, Hikawa Sayo, would you like to go on a date this weekend?" I asked.

"Fufu, I would be delighted to."

Looks like Sayo was able to figure me out and my feelings for her. Now I got a promise to make; to stay by her side no matter what.
