Your POV

Hi there, my name is (Y/N) (L/N), and I am going to be completely honest here, I am 100% lonely. That's right, alone. Ever since I first started school, no one wanted to be friends with me. They thought I was... too weird. This cycle will continue all the way up until high school. But it was at that moment where I decided not to trust people so much. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't used to it, though. But I did had one little wish, to have at least one friend I can bond with, but what are the chances of that happening?

One day on a weekend, I decided to get myself at the house and enjoy from fresh air. It was a nice day, and helped me feel distracted from my life problems. As I was walking around, something caught my eye. Two friends hanging out, and seeing that broke my heart. I tried not to feel bothered by this, but it was kind of hard to ignored.

"They're so lucky..." I said to myself. "I wish I had a good friend I can have a connection with."

Now being lost in my thoughts, I wasn't aware about the person behind me, and they bumped into me.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you like that!" The person said. "Are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm okay." I replied before turning around.

I was staring at a girl with light brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. She even gave herself a ponytail, and I must say, it does look good on her.

"Oh, hi there." She said. "I don't think I've seen you here before."

"That's because I don't usually come down here this often." I replied.

"Oh, I see." The girl said before continuing to talk to me.

"I take it you're here to meet up with a friend?" She asked.

"Oh, I don't have any friends..." I said and looked down sadly at the ground.

"You don't have any friends? How come?" She asked.

"Because all of my classmates and the people I go to school with say that I'm too weird." I answered.

"You, weird? I don't know about that." She said.

"What makes you say that?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"You seem like a nice person to me, and if you need a friend that badly, I can be your friend." She smiled.

Is this actually happening? Somebody wants me to be their friend? I'm so happy that I might just cry.

"Umm, are you okay?"

"Huh? Oh, sorry, it's just that this is the first time anyone has asked me to be their friend, so I'm not really sure how to react to this."

The girl chuckled.

"It's completely fine."

"By the way, my name is Yamabuki Saaya." She said and held out her hand for a hand shake.

"Nice to meet you, Saaya. My name is (Y/N) (L/N)." I said and shook her hand.

"Ah, but you can call me (Y/N) if you want." I added.

"That's fine by me, and you can call me Saaya." She said.

I was happy that I was able to find a new friend is Saaya. We walked around for a bit, and we tried to get to know each other as well. Thanks to Saaya, the pain of being alone no longer exists to me, and I will do whatever it takes to keep our friendship. Thank you for now being apart of my life, Yamabuki Saaya.
