Your POV

Ummm... h-hi there... m-my name is... *gulp* (Y/N) (L/N), and I won't lie... I'm not exactly the bravest person in the world. Almost everything scares me, and... i-it makes me want to... take shelter in my... own room.

The only one that knows about this is Satou Masuki, or Masking, the drummer of Raise A Suilen. She might be my best friend and all, but... every chance she gets, she'll tease to no end. However, I did prove her wrong one day when we were hanging out.

"Eek! What was that noise?!" I asked as I hid myself behind Masuki, but she was unimpressed.

"Bruh, really, it's just a stray cat." She replied and pointed down at the ground.

I nervously looked from behind. Turns out it was a stray cat. It was rolling around on the ground, and it was being cute. But now I feel embarrassed that I got scared over something like a cat.

"O-Oh, so it is." I replied, blushing.

Masuki began to laugh really hard.

"I swear to god, you got to be the most terrified person I have ever met!"

"C-Come on, it's not my f-fault I was born a scaredy cat!" I stammered.

"I know it isn't, but it's fine." She said as she took both of my hands.

Now instead of feeling scared, I was beginning to feel... relaxed and calm. Masuki has always had that kind of effect on me ever since I first met her. I don't know why it happens, but I am just glad that she is by my side.

"I like you just the way you are." She said, blushing a little.

Now I was starting to blush a bit myself.

"Thanks, I guess..."

"You don't sound happy about it." Masuki pointed out.

"I am. It's just..." I began and looked down at the ground.

"Just what?"

"I want to... prove to you that... I can be brave as well." I told her. Okay, what did I get myself into?

Masuki smirked at me.

"Is that so?" She asked. "Then I know exactly what to do."

"What do you have in mind?"

She showed me a picture of a movie poster on her phone.

"I recommend that we should watch this movie this weekend." She said. "Just you and me, and no one else."

"I guess that's fine... But I never heard of this movie." I said.

"It's called Phantom's House, and it's the scariest movie of the year." Masuki explained.

I didn't want to watch this movie, but I didn't want to be teased about being scared. I might get nightmares afterwards, but I'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

"Alright, let's go see it." I said.

"Great, let's get going then."

Location - Shopping Mall, Movie Theater

My heart began to race quite fast when we made our way to the movie theater, and even faster when we were arrived. I kept thinking to myself that it might not be too late to turn around and go home, but I didn't want to ruin this experience for Masuki.

Once we got to the movie theater, we grabbed some drinks, and some popcorn to share. We took some of the seats near the back to get a good view. I was still feeling on edge about doing this in general, but I didn't want to mess up the experience for Masuki.

"The movie is going to start any minute now." Masuki said as she made a really scary face at me.

"Y-Yeah, I-I know." I stutter a response.

Masuki expression changed from scary to worry.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Masuki asked.

"I-I think so." I responded. To be honest, no, I am not going to be okay.

Once the room was filled with more people, and after waiting for a few minutes, the lights started to go off. I got really nervous, but then I noticed something: Masuki holding my hand.

"Does that help?" She asked as a small and faint blush appeared on her face.

"Umm, yeah, it does." I replied as I was blushing a little myself.

As they showed a few previews, the movie officially began.

Two hours later...

Location - Station Entrance

Phantom's House lasted at least two hours long, and I was still shaking in fear by some of the scenes they put in the film. How people were able to put up with a movie like that is beyond me, but I am glad that the movie is over.

"That movie wasn't so bad, wasn't it?" Masuki asked as we were walking home.

"I guess not..." I sighed a bit.

"That movie was too scary for you, wasn't it?" She asked.

"It was, and I think I'll just be a scaredy cat for the rest of my life." I replied.

"And what's wrong with that?" Masuki asked.

"Huh?"

"(Y/N), I don't care if you are a scaredy cat." Masuki said. "The important thing is..."

She paused her sentence and stared at me with Rosey cheeks.

"Yeah?"

"The important thing is... that I got to spend some time with you." Masuki said as she lean in and kissed me on the lips.

I was taken aback by her actions and I kissed her back. After the kiss, the two of us stared at each other and didn't say anything.

"Masuki... do you... love me?" I asked.

"Umm, you could say that." She replied.

"I see..."

Once again, there was a moment of silence between the two of us.

"Well, if I am being honest here, I have feelings for you as well." I smiled.

We smiled at each other.

"So tell me, if I kissed you, will you promise not to get scared?" She teased.

I chuckled.

"I think I'll be okay."

We shared another kiss, a much longer one this time. After breaking the kiss, Masuki and I held hands and headed off for home once again.

The end
