Kasumi x Cheerful Male Reader

Your POV

Hi there, nice to meet you. My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and I would like to think that I lead an exciting life. No matter how much I think about it, I would say that things have been going pretty well for me. But the only thing that could make my life better is by having a girlfriend that will love me forever. And believe me, it was a lot harder than I thought.

But to be honest, I had some moments where I thought I should give up, but I keep telling myself to stay positive, and the right girl will come to me. Sure enough, that moment did happen, but it felt like it was totally out of the blue when it happened. It all started with me going on a stroll, enjoy the great out doors, and hope something exciting will happen.

"Ah, as to be expected, it is such a lovely day outside." I said to myself as I looked up at the sky.

"What makes it better is that there is not a single rain drop, nor a cloud in the sky to ruin it all."

And sadly, this is where the jinx problem comes into play. Sometime later, a few clouds started to roll in. It was starting to get slightly darker.

"Oh dear... is it going to rain?" I asked myself.

I shrugged it off and just walked around some more. However, about a few minutes later, something hit my head. I looked up and saw a raindrop, but it was rather fainted. Yes, it started to rain, and as much as I don't like it, I did my best to stay cheerful and positive.

"It's fine... rain is not going to stop me." I said to myself.

Moments later, I spotted a girl in the distance who looked really upset.

"Ah man, it's raining, and on the one day I decided not to bring my umbrella!" She complained.

The girl had purple eyes and brown hair, and she added something to her hair that I can't seem to rap my finger around. Is it cat ears? Or is it something else? She started walking forward, and started to trip.

"Ahh!"

That's when I caught her, and just in time, too.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked as I looked down at her.

"Y-Yeah, I am." She replied as she stood back up. "Thank you for saving me."

"No problem at all. I couldn't let you fall like that." I said before smiling at her.

She smiled back at me, and the rain came down even harder.

"Maybe we should get out of this rain, huh?" I asked.

"I know a place we can go to! Follow me!" She said and started running off somewhere.

"Hey, wait up!" I called out and ran after her. If she trips again, this will be on her, and not me.

A few minutes later...

Location - Hazawa Coffee

I followed that girl all the way to Hazawa Coffee, a place that I have been to before. I have to say, though, that this girl has a lot of energy and is so upbeat, maybe even more than me. Now I want to get to know this girl, and hopefully, we can at least be friends.

"Here we are! Will this place do?" She asked.

"Y-Yeah, i-it'll do." I said, catching my breath.

"Welcome to Hazawa Coffee!" A kind voice greeted us as they came over.

I know who it was. It was Hazawa Tsugumi, who not only works here, but lives here as well.

"Hi Tsugu!" The girl said to her. Sounds like she knows her too.

"Hi Kasumi-chan." Tsugumi said with a smile. Her name is Kasumi? That is a nice name.

"We can get a table for me and my new friend here?" Kasumi asked.

Tsugumi looked over and stared at me.

"Oh, (Y/N)-kun, nice to see you again." Tsugumi said to me.

"Umm, yeah, nice to see you again too, Tsugumi." I said as I chuckled a little.

"You're name is (Y/N)?" Kasumi asked as she stared at me.

"Yeah, it is." I said.

"Wow! That's an amazing name!" Kasumi said as she gave me a bright smile.

"Really? Thank you, and I think your name is amazing, too." I complimented.

Kasumi blushed a little.

"Hehe, thank you."

A few days later...

Location - Station Entrance

Ever since we first met, Kasumi and I have been spending a lot of time together. After all the times I have been hoping for something exciting to happen, it has finally happened, and I have even more reasons to be cheerful. In fact, you could say... that I'm in love.

Kasumi and I had a lot more in common than I thought. Everytime she would invite me to go hang out with her, I just couldn't hold back the excitement. I think that's when I started noticing my feelings for her.

I just couldn't wait any longer. I had to tell Kasumi how I feel. So I asked her to come meet me by the station entrance, the place where we first met. I waited for a while, then Kasumi showed up, greeting me with that wonderful smile of hers.

"Hey (Y/N)-kun, sorry that I kept you waiting." She said and gave me a hug.

I hugged her back and smiled.

"It's fine. I'm glad you were able to come." I replied.

"Of course. There is no way I can turn you down." She brightly smiled.

"Heh, that's good to know."

"So, what did you want to tell me? You said it was really important, right?" She asked.

"Yeah. It's something I've been wanting to tell you ever since I first met you a while back." I said as my cheeks started to glow.

"Oh, what is it? Please tell me!" Kasumi said.

Well, here goes nothing...

"You see... I wanted to tell you that... I'm in love with you." I managed to say, though it felt like my voice cracked when I did.

"You love me?!" Kasumi exclaimed in disbelief.

"Yes. I liked you ever since I first met you. People always told me that I was cheerful and didn't have anything to worry about, but after meeting you, my life became more exciting, and I would be the luckiest person in the world if I could spend it with you."

Tears were flowing from Kasumi's eyes as I said that.

"Aww, (Y/N)-kun, I feel the same way you do." She said.

"Wait... really? You mean that Kasumi?" I asked.

"Yes, of course! Seeing and being around you as made life even more exciting for me. And seeing you this happy as made me happy as well." She answered.

"That's... awfully nice of you to say." I blushed while looking down at the ground. I knew it, she was the best girl I have ever met.

"So, do you want to go out for Ice Cream? It'll be my treat." I said.

"Yes! Count me in!"

As the two of us held hands, we headed over to the ice cream store, and I had the best time of my life.
