MY PLAN TO find Vera went out the window after my third drink. Or was it my fourth? I honestly can't remember and quiet frankly, I don't give a fuck.

I was drunk, to say the least. I wasn't shit face drunk but I was progressively growing closer to the state. I was dancing with a few girls in one of the many living rooms to the blasting music, my blonde hair sticking to the back of my sweaty neck.

Levi finds me half way through my dancing marathon and pulls me into the kitchen where we somehow team up in a game of messy beer pong. Two guys from Madison High School were at the other end of the ping-pong table and we were currently annihilating them.

I pick the last ball up and kiss it as the crowd of drunk teens crowded around in baited breath. I line it up, closing one eye as I focus. I probably looked incredibly dumb but I didn't care. I throw it and it travels in an arc over the expanse of the table before landing in the red solo cup with a loud plop.

Everyone erupts in cheers as I throw my arms up in the air and the challenging team bitterly swallow whatever the hell was in the bottom of the cups. I wrap my arms around Levi's shoulders as he picks me up and spins me around. When my feet land safely back on the floor, I pull back, smiling like crazy as he cracks a small smile and stares at me with those big brown eyes.

I grab his hand and weave our way through the stinky crowd, spotting Penn and Noah who were talking on a grey sofa pushed up against a wall in yet another living room. This place had so many fucking living rooms I felt like I was shopping in IKEA.

I lie down on the sofa, resting my head on Penn's lap and my feet on Noah's. Penn plays with my hair as she glances down and smiles at me, her red hair creating a curtain of fire around her face. She was so pretty which she doubted sometimes and I wish she didn't.

She questions, "Having fun?"

"Fuck yes." I nod with a tired huff as Penn twirls a blonde lock around her finger. Levi takes a seat on the arm of the sofa behind Noah and stares out at the party with his normal expression; blank. It made me laugh just staring at him.

"Hey." Noah pokes my foot and I turn my attention to him, "Chase is here."

Instantly, I throw myself forward into a sitting position and glance around the party in a feral manner. Drunk Hayden was certainly feral in some sense.

"Where?" I question, trying to spot his familiar stupid head in the ocean of unfamiliar stupid heads.

"We saw him just before but he went looking for you and now we lost him." Penn explains as I stand up, stumbling over my feet and Levi, Noah and Penn all reach out to steady me.

I straighten my jumpsuit, determined, "I'm going to find him."

I make my way through the crowd, elbowing my way through because that's the only way I could move or I'd be swept away with the tide. I head for the outdoor patio, somewhere I haven't been since arriving, but instead I end up in someone's arms.

And as I glance up, I realise those arms are Luke's.

"Hey stranger." He greets me with a smile, staring down at me with crystal blue eyes, "Funny seeing you here."

"Have you seen Chase?" I slur and I notice his smile falter slightly, but that could also be because I'm super drunk.

He helps me stand up better but I keep my hand on his arm for support, which by the way was really muscular, "Chase and I aren't really on the best terms right now."

"Oh shit, you're right. Because he almost punched you." I whisper to him as if it's some top classified secret. Luke chuckles at me as I glance around the surrounding area, "Well, I better get going now."

Luke wraps a hand around my waist gently, "You shouldn't be walking around by yourself, Hay."

"I know." I say as I take his hand off my waist and step back, brushing the curled locks framing my face away, "But I candle handle myself."

"I'm sure you can." Luke smiles at me softly before I turn and walk out the sliding doors to the patio.

I notice the pool straight away and scold myself because I didn't come out here earlier. My eyes gaze over the large outdoor area and I have a double take on the in ground hot tub because I spot Vera sitting in the middle of the group, still in her jumpsuit and looking like she was having the best damn time of her life.

I stroll over to her and she notices me as I near, reaching her arms out with a large smile, "Hayden!"

"Hi." I smile as I sit behind her on the edge of the hot tub, "Have you seen Chase."

She nods, "Yeah I did but then he asked if I had seen you and I said yes and then he went to look for you and then I stayed here."

"What a coincidence because I'm looking for him too." I gasp, placing my hand to my chest as two girls cannonball into the pool whilst squealing. The sound bounced against the inner walls of my skull.

"Wow." Vera mumbles in awe, her brown eyes glazed slightly, "He also asked if you were drinking and I said of course because you wouldn't be our Hayden Jones if you didn't drink at a fucking Halloween party."

"You're a damn genius Vera!" I cheer, high-fiving her excitedly as we giggle at each other. Vera's eyes then scan over the pool before her eyes freeze. I follow her line of sight and my smile dims as I spot the person she was staring at. I stand up instantly as we stare at each other from across the fucking huge patio.

He wasn't dressed up, not that I was expecting him to be, unless his halloween costume was mono chrome; he was dressed in black ripped jeans and a dark black crew neck shirt. Monochrome can be very terrifying.

Chase walks forward casually and for some reason, I take a step back and then another step and—then I end up embarrassing myself like usual. My foot slips on the slippery edge of the pool and I flail backwards, my back hitting the flat top  of the water painfully and I go under. I squeeze my eyes shut and plant my feet on the bottom of the pool floor before pushing myself up.

I'm laughing as I break the surface and blow water from my mouth. As I pull back the curtain of wet hair covering my face, I notice Chase crouching by the edge of the pool, an amused smirk stretched across his beautiful lips.

"Have a nice dip?" He question, poking out two fingers and playing with the cyan water that was lapping up against the wall of the pool.

"It was the best." I retort cheekily as I swim towards him, gliding through the water. I stop below him and stretch out my hand to him with an evil idea sparking to life in my brain, "Help me up?"

Chase rolls his eyes but nonetheless falls for my innocent smile and slips my palm into his. Before he could react, I yank my arm towards me, pulling him into the water with me. I laugh uncontrollably as he goes under and instantly pushes to the top, breathing heavily as he breaks the surface.

He sweeps his arm across the water, creating a fucking tsunami that crashes into the side of me. I turn around, gasping with a shocked expression at him as I jump on him, placing my hands on the plans of his broad shoulders and dunk him under while giggling. Cue the very competitive water fight.

    ♤♤♤♤

"You know I spent twenty minutes trying to curl my hair." I mumble under the towel draped over my head as I perched on the edge of the very fancy bath tub, "I also burnt myself with the fucking wand thing. And for what? To get into a stupid water fight with you?"

"I won, by the way." Chase retorts and I glance at him as he kneels before me, drying my hair with a white fluffy towel. He smiles up at me as I peek through the gap of the towel and I roll my eyes at his fake triumphant. I won, obviously

My eyes slowly but surely travel lower than his face and land his his chest, his very naked chest. His shirt was wet so of course he took it off, not that I was complaining or anything. I couldn't take anything off because I was only dressed in a jumpsuit and well, it's a fucking jumpsuit.

I'm not about to flash Chase and most of the party my bare ass cheeks. I'm not that drunk, yet

"How much did you have to drink?" Chase asks seriously as he takes the towel from my head and wraps it around my shoulders, trying to keep me warm.

I shrug, "I don't know. I lost count after my ninth."

Chase laughs as he stands up and I push the wet strands of her sticking to my face behind my ears. I stand up, running my hands down the soaked material of my jumpsuit and step forward, only for my foot to slip on the slippery surface of the tiles and I fall backwards.

Arms wrap around my waist as Chase reacts quickly, both of us crashing to the floor as grunts of pain leave our lips, more so me because Chase's heavy body landed on top of me. It was so not how this cliche moment was suppose to go. I was suppose to land on top.

Nevertheless, I burst out laughing hysterically. Chase chuckles and I realise how close our faces were. With all the buzzing alcohol flooding through my veins, I place my hands on his shoulders as I tilt my head up, bringing my lips to his.

But he stops me, he turns his face and my lips make contact with the skin of his cheek.

"You're drunk, Jones." Chase states the obvious as I rest my head back down on the tiles and frown up at him.

"What? What's so bad?" I question, scoffing at him as I roll my eyes and drop my hands to my side, "You've probably kissed thousands of drunk girls before, why not me?"

"Because..." Chase mumbles as he pushes a lock of hair away from my cheek, the soft tips of his fingers gently gliding across my skin, "....when I kiss you Jones, I want it to be a kiss you'll remember."

I gulp, staring up at him as his determined words hit me hard. So he did want to kiss me but just not when I was drunk and would forget all of this come morning—well, mid afternoon if we're being honest here.

I jump in fright as three large pounds to the door echo in the small bathroom.

"Hurry the fuck up in there! I gotta take a shit man!" His voice reverberates through the wooden slab of the door as  Chase and I slowly glance back at each other. We pause for a second or two before bursting into laughter. Chase pushes to his feet first before helping me to mine,  the both of us still laughing.

ooh, the tension is fizzling.

drunk hayden is literally drunk me, no joke.

i have plenty of videos and pictures taken by friends to prove that fact.
