********************

When you woke the next morning, the colors of Fall started to emerge.

It was almost as if over night that the trees were colored in the shades of autumn - the reds, oranges, and yellows fell from their stems and littered the sidewalks.

The slight overcast also blessed the air with a crisp scent, and you were all about this time of the year.

As you sat yourself on a barstool at your kitchen counter to munch on some breakfast, you flipped on the flat screen television from the remote on the counter.

The floorplan of your penthouse was fairly open, so you had a clear view of the TV from your Livingroom as it echoed throughout the place.

You left it on the news, but the reporter's story instantly caught your attention.

"Sources say that this unknown person has a wingspan as big as the Number 2 Pro Hero, Hawks. What appears to be black and white in color, this individual seems to be wanting to hide their identity."

Blurry photos of your wings were displayed on the screen as you dropped the cup you were sipping from. "Shit! Really? Making headlines again?!"

"No one has ever been seen with wings such as these besides the Number 2. Is this person a Hero that we have yet heard of? Or a Villain? Only time will tell."

You rolled your eyes... apparently you needed to be more careful. You were also being watched now... by the Hero Commission, by Hawks, and probably the League.

You had amazing luck... didn't you? You definitely knew how to fit right in into this world... NOT.

You sighed heavily as you ignored the television and reached for the envelope that Hawks had given to you just last night.

Opening it, you scanned over the letter:

Dear Miss L/N,
After witnessing your skills in recent events, you are thoroughly invited to put those skills to the test - as we see some potential in possibly becoming a Hero.
You will be asked to perform a variety of tests in which we will personally evaluate.
We hope this is of great interest to you, and look forward to seeing you on the provided date, time, and location below to discuss in further detail.
Thank you,
HPSC

You scrolled your eyes further down to the location, time, and date - reading it out loud.

"Location will be at UA High... okay." You confirmed as the excitement rose to your chest. "Says here to meet at the front office first. Date and time..."

You gulped harshly, almost choking on a mouthful of your breakfast fruit as you noticed that the date was today. You were just about to give up on breakfast though. First dropping your cup, and now almost choking.

"Goddamnit, Hawks." You cursed. "Could've given me a forewarning on the date?!"

To give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have not known... but it still gave you an excuse to give him shit the next time you saw him.

Looking at the time - you definitely had a few hours to spare though... that much you were thankful for.

"Also says here..." You raised the letter up to read the last part. And as you did, you slightly scrunched the paper in your hand as your nerves jumped to your throat.

"Ask for Aizawa? Oh, Christ."

********************

As you stood on the sidewalk - your eyes gleamed with stardom. You slowly took in the sight before you; your consciousness still trying to register that you were really here.

The wall that surrounded a massive four-pillared building towered over you. And as you craned your neck upward to fully take in what was in front of you, the goosebumps formed up your arms as the imperial blue archway curved over your head - with the golden letters of 'UA' reflecting in your pupils.

UA High. This was it. Some of your favorite soon-to-be Heroes were here, right now; at this very moment.

You suddenly gripped the collar of your shirt, stretching it out a little and away from your neck as it now felt hard to breathe. Your nerves got the best of you, and you wondered if you were truly ready for this.

Yes... yes, you were.

Regaining your courage, you stepped through the blue archway, as the gate wasn't up at the moment.

The place was absolutely beautiful.

Though being stopped by security and escorted to the main office, you were thankful that you thought of bringing that invitation letter - or you would've been kicked to the curb in a heartbeat.

Handing the letter to the receptionist, the woman eyed you over. "Welcome to UA, Miss L/N." She smiled. "I'll have someone fetch Aziawa Sensei for you. You may take a seat just over there."

"Thank you, Ma'am." You smiled and patiently sat in the chair just before the busy reception desks.

As you were inspecting your surroundings, you were hoping to catch a glimpse of anyone from Class 1-A.

Though it was an early Saturday morning - with apparently no class today, you had hoped that at least some of them were still on the school grounds. Maybe training on their own time, studying, or simply just running errands around campus. You were hoping for something.

But instead of someone from Class 1-A gracing your presence, it was instead a Pro-Hero... a retired Pro-Hero at that.

The thin man made his way in your direction as his blonde disheveled hair swayed as he walked; his two loose bangs framing the sides of his face. His sharp, angular features seemed more prominent in person. And the deep shadowing around his acute blue irises created an effect of someone who had seen too much in his lifetime.

All Might.

Your breath hitched as you made eye contact with the retired Pro Hero. He was quite the sight, and you then wondered if you'd ever get to witness him in his Hero form. Were his embers already burned out?

But your silent questioning was cut immediately when you had noticed All Might had stopped in his tracks at the sight of you. Not only was he boring his profound eyes directly at you... but the look on his face was of both shock and fascination.

What the hell?

But before you even had a chance to ask if everything was okay, the skinny man practically ran up to you to perhaps question you himself.

"I see that you're new to UA?" Something about All Might's voice materialized a comfort zone around you. He could probably soothe a crying baby with his tone alone.

"Y-yes, Sir." You were still so in awe with the retired Pro Hero, that you were practically lost for words. "Actually, I'm not exactly attending UA. I was requested to come here today."

You then handed him the letter Hawks had originally given you.

All Might scanned the paper; his eyes widening in surprise. "Oh! I thought I had recognized you! The videos on the news were a bit grainy, but now I see the resemblance. Nice work on those robbers by the way." All Might smiled.

'Whew' You thought to yourself. 'The way he looked at me at first made me think that I was his enemy or something.'  But you still doubted that excuse, as the look All Might had bestowed upon you was as if he had known you. You pushed your thoughts aside.

"I'm All Might. Retired, of course." He introduced.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, All Might - retired, of course." You grinned.

All Might chuckled at your simple humor as he shook your hand. But as you were about to introduce yourself, he cut you off. "Miss Y/N L/N. You're not exactly a secret in the Hero world right now."

You were actually taken aback with this information. Were you really known among the Pros right now? You wanted to jump up and down like a little kid in a candy store, but kept your behavior in check. After you got to know some of these people in a comfortable manner - you could then act like a goddamn fool. But for now... keep it professional.

"Mind walking with me?" All Might acknowledged. "I'm... curious of your abilities."

Your eyes lit up, but remembered who you were waiting for. "I, umm - I'm actually waiting for Mister Aizawa."

"He'll catch up." All Might smirked as he nodded for you to follow him.

A soft 'heh' escaped your lips as you stood up and followed the skinny man; catching up to walk beside him.

You both had made your way down the elongated hallways; passing numerous doors that were labeled which classroom was which.

You both silently walked for a few minutes; you taking in the sights around you. And looking out of the massive windows that acted as walls on one side of the never-ending walk ways - you could see the dorms.

And in all your gazing, All Might was watching you. Almost as if studying you... your movements, your presence, and your personality. But he needed to talk if he were to analyze more of your traits.

"Where are you from?" All Might finally spoke.

You cleared your throat. "Somewhere that is way too far from here."

The skinny man scrunched his eyebrows. "What brings you here then?"

"Work, I guess." You shrugged your shoulders.

"You don't like revealing much." He pointed.

"I guess you're not the first Hero to say that." You sighed, a glint of a grin thinning your lips. You wish you could open up to others, especially someone like All Might. Out of anyone, he was most trustworthy, right?

"Not the first Hero?" All Might questioned. "Who else has spoken to you?"

"Hawks." You laughed - and you noticed that you couldn't contain the smile plastered across your face when you spoke of him.

Your purse then twitched; you knowing full well why it did. You rolled your eyes when you thought back to this morning. As you were about to walk out the door to leave - the red feather that was resting upon your nightstand came shooting towards you and into your bag. You figured you'd allow it this time...

But as your purse moved with the mention of Hawks' name, you involuntarily squinted your eyes. He wouldn't be able to hear you... only if he were nearby he could. 'That son of a... he better not be.'

"Ah, Hawks." All Might mused, pushing you from your thoughts. "He's quite the character."

"Indeed, he is."

All Might then led you into a room that looked like a lounge. And you had recognized this room immediately. The retired Hero would talk to Izuku here, in private at times - when speaking about One For All and such. Katsuki as well.

You looked over to the exact couch that they would sit upon; the coffee table in front of it where they would share a cup of tea over these secret conversations.

All Might motioned for you to sit upon that same sofa. "Would you like some tea?"

"No, thank you." You smiled as you sat down on the lush sofa with All Might sitting directly across from you.

All Might then held up the letter you had handed to him earlier. "This is actually serious business." He stated. "The Hero Public Safety Commission has their eyes on you. They may or may not give you a choice in doing some Hero work."

You then thought back to Hawks' words just last night when he spoke of the Hero Commission. 'They would like for you to participate in a few of their academic tests. Totally up to you... for now.'

'For now'. That was the key word right there, and you cursed yourself for not catching on to that sooner. Out of anyone, Hawks would know what the Hero Commission was capable of.

All Might could tell that you were deep in thought about something, and that not only sparked his curiosity even more, but it also gave him the courage to ask you a question that you wouldn't ever think anyone would know about.

"Before I ask you something in regards to Hero work... let me ask you this first."

You looked up to meet his eyes - and for the first time, you noticed the glimmer in those deep eyes had weighed on many things. And those embers still shone as brightly as his past Pro Hero career.

All Might hesitated for a moment as he took in your expression, almost as if he felt some sort of connection to you in some unknown way before he continued. "I know this is personal but, do you..." He deeply sighed. "Do you happen to have an odd birthmark upon you? In the form of four different symbol-like shapes?"

You just about choked on air as you instinctively shot your hand up to cup the lower side of your head; your birthmark tingling at the mention of it.

Your eyes were wide, and you were stumped for words.

"I take that as a yes." All Might confirmed; his eyes dancing upon your face in wonder now - since he found that his question had truth behind it. "Now let me ask you this... would you become a Hero?"

Without a moments hesitation, you blurted out - "Yes."

Your lack of delay in your answer caused a bright and gentle smile to grace upon All Might's face; almost as if he were comforted by your answer - and was hoping that you wouldn't take the alternative route.

A long breath escaped from his lips as he sat back into his seat, his tense body relaxing a little more now.

'The hell was he so nervous about?' You thought. 'And how the fuck did he know about my birthmar- ??'

But before you could finish your thoughts and begin to question the retired Hero in front of you, the door slammed open.

Startled, you jumped straight up from your seat - only to witness the tired-looking man standing in the doorway with his arm extended out and over the door he'd forcefully flung open.

The pale-skinned man had messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hung in front of his face - and half-opened and flat obsidian eyes.

His ragged black long-sleeved shirt and matching pants were tucked into his boots. His utility belt and signature wrap scarf clung around his fatigued looking stature.

"Aizawa Sensei." All Might acknowledged.

"I've been looking for you... everywhere." Aizawa's tone was flat, and he was definitely irritated. Great.

"I was just getting to know your possible future student." All Might expressed.

The tired-looking man then met your eyes. His were definitely in need of some sleep, and his stoic gaze made you want to take a step back.

"We'll see about that." Aizawa countered. "The receptionist gave these to me."

The teacher then tossed you a bundle of folded clothing, only for you to catch it and unfold it to get a good look at it.

You gazed at the blue and white UA gym clothes; blinking a few times as you met Aizawa's eyes once again before he continued. "Change in the bathroom just across the hall. Let's see what you're capable of."

You harshly gulped as you complied to his requests immediately; making your way past him to the restroom just down the hall.

For goodness sake, you had been through hell and back with being in the Special Ops military. What you went through in just basic training alone would actually kill the average person. But for some reason... this was more intense than being beat down physically. Because you knew... Aizawa would test your limits physically, mentally, and skillfully.

All Might now sat alone in the lounge, his thoughts all on you and what he had just found out. It wasn't the headlines in the local news that he had recognized you from... but from something else entirely. Years ago... a prediction was made. And he still couldn't believe that you were now here.

"Mirai... Sasaki." All Might said to himself. "She's really here."
