I started/finished this anime last night/this morning. Watching it I didn't think it would be a shonen type, I was thinking it was more Seinen because it focused so much on Ririchiyo's emotions and the relationship. Sōshi from the start reminded me of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji with his undying faithfulness and loyalty to Ririchiyo. But unlike Sebastian, Sōshi came across as much more lighthearted and they made him sparkle most of the times when the showed him. At some point I found him to be annoying because he was so nice all the time. Ririchiyo, though she has characteristics of a tsundere, she is actually a tsunshun in terms of personality. All the characters in the show are Ayakashi, if you have seen Kekkaishi they are like the Night Troops, supernatural beings.

The anime was at a slower pace for my taste, so I found it to be dull in some moments, but it was carried along through comedy and didn't get really good until the end which made it worth watching.

I would suggest reading the manga because there is a lot more to the story plot than what was in the anime. The manga is ongoing and from the sounds of it is a lot better than the anime.

I give this a 2.5 out of 5.
