Summary:

Produced by A-1 Pictures and led by Kanbe Mamoru (Elfen Lied, So-Ra-No-Wo-To), Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider comes in as the newest addition to the noitaminA lineup. One of ten books from Mori Hiroshi's S&M (based on the main cast's initials) mystery novel series, The Perfect Insider was Hiroshi's debut novel, and winner of the first Mephisto Prize in 1996. The story revolves around Saikawa Research Lab member Saikawa Souhei (Kase Yasuyuki) and the daughter of his mentor, Nishinosono Moe (Tanezaki Atsumi). Having met by chance during the former's vacation, the two suddenly stumble upon a corpse, the mysteries of which give way to a serial murder investigation. Rounding off the staff are Oono Toshiya (Gatchaman Crowds, Tsuritama) on series composition and Kawai Kenji (Fate/Stay Night, Ghost in the Shell, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) as the series' composer.

Own opinion:

Considering recent lack of mysteries in general, Subete ga F ni Naru comes as a series worth keeping an eye on purely for its genre. The fact that it's based off an award-winning novel written by the man behind The Sky Crawlers only helps its case. The expectations are sky high for a series that seems every bit as intriguing as the original creator himself. Considering he was once a mangaka, scientist, and a professor, that's saying something, and here's hoping that Subete ga F ni Naru continues the streak of award-winning novels (Shin Sekai Yori was one) carrying over as superb anime series.
